When Alison moved to the quiet town of Bear Creek, all she wanted was a fresh start for herself and her young daughter, Tessa. After escaping a toxic marriage, the last thing on her mind was love—until she met Jay.
Jay has been lost for too long. Found injured and with no recollection of his past, he struggles to piece together the fragments of who he is—and why he left Bear Creek all those years ago. His family welcomes him home with open arms, but the weight of their hope feels like a stone around his neck.
Only with Alison does he find a sense of peace, a sense of belonging.
As Jay’s memories return, so do the shadows of his past. To protect Alison and Tessa, Jay must confront the truth he’s been running from. But when danger strikes close to home he must face the truth. Whatever the cost.
Can Jay finally find the redemption he craves? Will Alison risk her heart again?

Just my way of saying thank you for giving my books a try.
Finally jay is home and his story is told. This is the final book at the Thornburg ranch.
This was a very sweet bear shifter story with Jay coming home finally but he has amnesia after an accident so he doesn't remember why he left bear creek or why he is back. But he does know he has found his mate in Alison, a nurse who just moved to town, working her first shift at the hospital taking care of Jay. Book 5 I didn't really like there were many things I wish had been different but this book was exactly what I'd hoped for.
Alison is a single mom with a young daughter starting over in a new town. She has been scarred from a bad husband and she finds friends in Jays family and finds love with Jay.
I really enjoyed this book. I thought that it was a good conclusion to the Bear Creek Forever: Thornberg Ranch Series by Harmony Raines. This book, like all the books in the Bear Creek Universe is an insta-love story about fated mates. I thought Jay & Alison were good together. Alison has recently moved to Bear Creek with her young daughter Tessa after getting a divorce from her emotionally abusive a*sehole of an ex husband. Alison is doing amazing but after constantly hearing all the negative things her ex used to spew at her she’d start to believe that it’s true and can still hear his negativity in her head. Moving to Bear Creek was just what her and Tessa needed.
Man, my heart broke for everything Jay has been through but he made it back home, a bit bruised and kind of broken since he’s suffering from amnesia from the head injury he received after falling down a ravine. I think that fate did an amazing job matching these two as they can be each other’s safe space after all the hurt. Jay, with the help of some of his brothers and Alison starts slowly regaining memories including about why he left town years prior. I’ve pre-ordered The Bear’s Mail Order Mate (Bear Creek Forever: Thornberg Vineyard Series) book 1 which I’m really looking forward to reading when it’s released. That series is all about another lot of Thornberg’s finding their own happily ever afters. Two down, only four lots of Thornberg’s to go. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
This review is for the entire series since my thoughts are the same for every book. I really liked the premise. The execution, not so much. The writing was oddly formal which made the dialogue seem odd and not at all real. Contractions would’ve gone a long way in my ease of reading. For example, the book was full of “because I am working” and “what is it called” instead of “because I’m working” and “what’s it called.” A book with very minimal contraction usage just didn’t work. This book also read like it was a new author and not one who’s published as much as she has. I also struggled with the timeline. The books are in order of when each brother finds his mate, but how far Camille is in her pregnancy seems to vary. I just KNEW the kid would’ve been born by the end of the series. Instead, she was pregnant at all in the final book even though she was 6 months along in the previous one. I did really like the internal conversations between the bear and human sides of the brothers. Aside from the first book, I ended up skimming quite a bit in each book.
For the final book in series, I would’ve also liked to have seen all of the characters at some point -even if it was just in the epilogue.
Jay left town after tragedy struck, but he never really explained why he left & never came back. When he shows up there injured & with no memory of who he is or why he's there, one person seems to keep him calm. His mate Alison is the nurse taking care of him, but she knows nothing about shifters. Alison & her daughter Tessa are in Bear Creek for a new start & falling for the rancher who doesn't know his own name is not an option, but tell that to her heart! Together with Jay's parents & brothers, they work to help him regain his memories. However, pushing it isn't helping & it makes him feel like he is letting his family down. This is where he wants to be with his mate & her daughter. He will do whatever it takes to remember! As always, this was a fun, entertaining read & I love a good shifter series filled with sexy heroes & strong heroines! Enjoy!
1"I'm programmed to make you happy, it's in my DNA"
Jay may not remember why he left home, or even why he returned to Bear Creek but he finds forgiveness, redemption, hope and happiness....oh and his mate too! Both Jay and Alison are on a new start, one by choice, one by necessity. However, they find so much more: understanding, acceptance, love and family. Jay's family welcome everyone with open arms, but the family the two of them form with Tessa is lovely and heartwarming. It's an emotional journey for everyone, but it also brings them closer and enforces the family bonds both old and new. A great addition to the series which I read on Kindle Unlimited.
3.5 Easy read story with a good conclusion. Jay the missing brother was the person found hurt in the mountains. I usually hate amnesia tropes but this one worked okay, especially as his bear had forgotten too. The memory returning was entertaining and what happened with Lomas was sad, but still not sure why Jay took off for two years. The actions that happened were not solely his fault. Allison and Tessa were likeable and I’m glad the rotten ex husband never appeared. Great family support, though I thought it strange some of the mates never make an appearance. Read through kindle unlimited.
It was instantly love for him, but also for her. They both felt the mate bond, but being human, she didn't know what that entailed. Once he revealed his true self and explained what it entailed, they got their HEA. I enjoyed this 6 book series full of heartwarming tales as all the brothers finding their fated mates. I especially liked the meet cute of him answering the door holding a crying baby with a scarf around his shoulders and wearing nothing but a towel!
He left home years ago. His parents and his brothers never stopped hoping be would return. She left her big city home with her daughter hoping for a new start in a small town atmosphere. A heartfelt story about home and finding the place where you belong and the people with whom you belong. I'm more of an early gratification person, so the story dragged on little bit for me. But I still enjoyed the story.
I so enjoy this series. Once again a wonderful read by this author. I’m just about ready to re-read every series over again. I just can’t get enough! If you’re new to this author I suggest starting at the beginning by publication date as some of the characters overlap throughout the different series. Just start reading. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
A Bear to Remember (Bear Creek Forever Book 6) by Harmony Raines. Bear shifter Jay Thornberg is in hospital with amnesia. Alison and her daughter Tessa have just moved to town after a disastrous marriage. Alison is a nurse and when she meets Jay the connection is immediate. As his memory gradually comes back Jay relies on his mate Alison.
Last book is with Jay we finally find out about him (along with him) Plus new in town Alison and her daughter Tessa find there person in jay. Looks like we move to the vineyard now with the cousins and Auntie and uncle in the new series.we had a cameo with them all set in same town.
This book was so fragmented that it really should have been 2-3 books. The male with memory loss, divorced mother starting a new life in Bear Creek, small child adapting to new town, AND a mystery too! Edges were shallow and distracting. Personally I enjoyed the Thornburg Winery much better.
I want to know about Lomas. I want to know how Tessa deals with jay being a bear and Donkey being a lion. I want to know if Jay recovers his memory. A great story. I just wanted more.
Jay left Bear Creek when a friend fell in the river, because he felt guilty. Now he's back and finds Allison and Tessa. When his friend comes back too, everything feels better.
I really enjoyed reading this book series, it was filled with family, friendship, loyalty, romance and love❤ There are times when you want to drown out the noise around you. What better way than to read. For me a great romance novella!
This was a good read. Jay and Alison were a sweet couple. I enjoyed their journey and liked that it had a little drama and a few twists and turns and plenty of heat. Good read.
A bear shifter without a past and a divorced single mom with a haunted past. A story filled with new love and possibilities, hopes and family. Beloved characters add depth and warmth to a great series.
