It is dark. Control is a must for Xavier. Everly is the sister of one of his debtors and she is about to pay the ultimate price to save her unworthy brother. Everly's world is about to change in ways she never conceived and is not prepared for. Can all parties survive what is about to come next?.

Xavier and His Dolls
Since I was in the mood for a book that was dark and erotic, I chose “His Dark Cravings” by Serena Lust, an author that was new to me. The story description peeked my interest. This story is definitely dark and definitely erotic. Xavier collects “dolls” for his deep seeded need to control using BDSM techniques and employing pleasure and pain to willing submissives. The women he chose were broken and hoping Xavier could help them in some way. Then Everly shows up in his office on behalf of her brother, Talon, who is perpetually in trouble and she is always there to clean up his messes. This time Talon has amassed gambling debts he couldn’t possibly pay in Xavier’s casino. Xavier offers Everly the chance to clear Talon’s debt by serving as his submissive for a year. Everly accepts thus beginning her year of sexual exploration. I liked each of the characters in the story, even though they were in the same situation, their reasons for being there were vastly different. Their personalities were unique from one another and each of these women added a different kind of spice to the story. The reader joins Everly as she enters a world that is foreign to her where she experiences BDSM for the first time, and the concept of pain and pleasure for the first time. She is shocked to discover her inner desires and yearnings and begins to see the world, herself, and Xavier in a different light. I very much liked Xavier also, he was a contradiction that Everly found herself drawn to. He was a complicated man with his own history that affected his behavior. Overall, the story was well thought out and written with a cast of characters that fit the world they inhabited. Lots of energy and highly emotional. The author does put forth a list of trigger warnings for those who need to refer to one. Definitely recommended for lovers of the genre.

Okay, I knew what I was walking into—dark romance, billionaire, dom/sub chaos—but His Dark Cravings didn’t just give me spice... it dragged me into the depths, tied me up in Xavier’s twisted world, and left me breathless (and not always in a fun way).
Let’s get real: I picked this up for the drama and heat, but what I got was so much more emotionally twisted than I was ready for. This isn’t your soft dom with a leather fetish—Xavier Ravenwood is ice and fire, obsession wrapped in a three-piece suit, and absolutely not safe. His world is control, his kink is ownership, and he’s not interested in playing fair.
And our girl? She walks in thinking she can handle it—make the deal, save her brother, keep her heart locked up tight. But the way he gets in her head? Whew. There were moments I wanted to shake her and scream “RUN!” but then I’d hit a scene so emotionally (and physically) intense that I completely got it. I felt that dangerous pull. It’s toxic. This book pushed my boundaries, made me squirm (sometimes uncomfortably), but I couldn’t stop reading. There’s beauty in the broken, and Xavier collects that beauty like a madman with a God complex. This book was all about domination. Xavier is a rich dude with dominating, controlling and collecting tendencies. He tends to collect those that need saving. His Dolls! In this case he wants Everly who is being used by her brother Talon, as a bargaining chip to pay off his gambling debts. She agrees but has absolutely no idea what she’s in for. Yet…..turns out she has dark tendencies herself, finding herself wanting what he is offering, even though she has to live in his home along with his other dolls. But she is stronger that she realizes and Xavier wants to bring that out in her. Make her realize her strength, to the point that she takes point on saving another one of his dolls that gets taken by some very bad men. She will do whatever it takes to keep those she cares about safe….anything!

Everly finds herself in a forced relationship with Xavier. She goes to him on behalf of her brother who has a large gambling debt. Xavier is pretty dark and likes his girls submissive. He likes to break them. He offers Everly a deal- be his submissive for one year. She agrees. She soon finds herself changing from partially playing the game, as she had no choice, to being fully involved and actually craving him. It’s a dark romance. I loved seeing the progression of their relationship as time passed. Everly was pretty feisty to start with and then slowly changed because of his demands. The interplay between the two MCs kept my attention. The book was pretty spicey. I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest review.

This novel had me perplexed. Firstly, i did not like Xavier at all, a firstclass Alpha Male that demands the most inappropreate of things from a person that wants to help her brother, taking advantage of her loyalty and goodness, when it isn't her responsability to begin with. Everly is forced into a situation so far beyond her comfort zone simply because she cares about her brother, but soon realizes it involves so much more than she bargained for, and other people are also involved. Some plot twists got me realing as well. But in the end i would say this book is really more about broken people healing each other without them knowing about it. This was a great read. My favorite in this series.

She's now one of Xavier"s lovely dolls, and the story builds from there.

OMG 😱 this was the best action packed of cat and mouse chase ever between Xavier and Everly. The book cover had caught my attention and he was eye candy. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Xavier and Everly were fight the temptation of being the heated between them of the sexual tension and the physical intimacy was captivating of passion. She was never post to falling in love with him in this moment. She was so afraid but he was so intrigued to her.
