Manga creator ONE first created One-Punch Man as a web comic, where it quickly went viral, garnering over 10,000,000 hits! Along with One-Punch Man, ONE also writes and draws another series called Mob Psycho 100.
Right now, I feel One Punch has been on a slump for longer than it has been good, and it's kinda sad, because there are a few moments at the start of this that almost felt like the series was going back to what made it good, but... nah, the rest is pretty much the most absurdist Shonen fight that the series parodied at first.
King saves this volume from being bad, but I feel it's time for this series to end already.
The front cover made me laugh. King was desperate. Saw Garo on the contents page and thought huh you're still here then. The aftermath of some fights, Saitama always late to the party and some questionable bad guys. Its fun but feels a bit of a pointless struggle. If only Saitama was efficient.

King is the man! I'm a little tired of this fight, it just keeps going and going to the point of boring. But you know what, I still enjoyed this volume. Good dialog. Good story.
It has a big number of really beautiful two-page spreads! Really incredible stuff. We get a bit of the old Garo back, which has been sorely missing. King pulls the most King shit ever. Saitama rejoins the action, finally (albeit not too actively), but he does deliver a very emotional bit of dialogue. Poor Flash seems to not be able to beat any opponent at his own thing: speed.
The fights are escalating to seemingly no end, but the escalation here may be a bit too much for me, not sure I like where this is going.
P.S. It's a shame the anime is at the state it is in, was really looking forward to it.
I am going to be really hard on this volume. Keeping this spoiler free, but something interesting was teased, and the volume (almost typed episode) ended up feeling like filler again with zero payoff on the teases. They somehow managed to under-sell the big fight in this volume with the hints of something bigger to come, and knowing that will not hit shelves for a few months is frustrating. As great as this series is, there are quite a few nothing burgers in it as well.
Me gustó ver a Blast.
This was one crazy volume, but honestly, I'm getting pretty tired of the constant dragging out of fight scenes. One thing I did enjoy was the hilarious spotlight on King and how literally everyone kept overanalyzing his every move even when he wasn't actually doing anything. Garo's ambiguity was also interesting; he doesn’t care about sides, just his own goals.
One moment from this volume that stood out for me was when Saitama (late as usual), Flashy Flash, and that weird one-eyed monster suddenly warped into the middle of the hero-versus-monster chaos and how Saitama immediately rushed over to Genos to see if he was alright. Their brief exchange, with Saitama casually reassuring Genos, "Well, you didn't explode, right? Doesn't that mean you got stronger in here?" (pointing at Genos’ chest), genuinely captured what I love most about his character. I just wish we'd get more meaningful scenes like this instead of the endless cycle of dragged-out battles, frantic pacing, and excessive spotlight on side characters that have seriously been draining my enthusiasm for this manga.
Sometimes I wonder if I inflate a ranking based on the hype of the time I have been waiting for the release and then the final pleasure of reading it. In this case...I am going to say NOPE! This issue has everything you want in a manga book of a long running series. Art is perfect...I said it, PERFECT! Story is both humorous and progressive to the series. This volume also has a cover that you can cherish if you have been enjoying the series. This is the type of volume that makes you want to reread volumes that lead to this just to appreciate it even more! I read this like I only had 30 minutes left to live and this was a bucket list goal. Al the characters you love are doing what they do best...and the true winner is the fans! It would easy to just say, and the battle rages on...but I'd rather say you will be very pleased with many pages and panels of this volume. Promise!
King just standing there and the battle shifts Too much thinking around the greatest hero :p WHAT was that ominous presence over the moon - GREAT panel! Ultimate Hellfire Burst Wave Motion Cannon :D in short the one punch :p GAROU for the rescue :p :D :D Saitama is BACK!! Disaster Level Unknown Sage Centipede & Evil Ocean Water appear No Saitama Action this volume But Cool Fight with Garuo, Flashy Flash and The Billions Sperm Monster
So, with this issue all the volumes I had have been read. This one in particular was fantastic. The battle scale has gone so large that you can only see the flashes of clashes in the sky shining like stars! Finally Saitama is back on the battleground. So, I am hoping he will get involved in the next volume. As much fun as it is to see others fight and shine, I am missing the legendary one punches for a long while now. So, fingers crossed.
King is so funny, as always, and the creepy moon thing is spooky as all hell. Weird faceless god thing was trying to do something to Tornado, but we don't know what yet. Meanwhile, Garo is wasting both monsters and heroes alike at this point, but I cannot wait for Saitama to teach him a lesson. I predict hilarity will ensue.
Another one masterpiece from the creative team of ONE and Yusuke Murata! The story and the plot delivers masterfully many aspects of superhero comics and shonen manga. It is enjoyable,binge-read and has great action and humorous scenes, which makes it even better!
