Motherhood is... a journey of love, loss, and transformation. Best-selling poet, Jessica Jocelyn, captures the raw, unfiltered reality of motherhood—from the first cry of a newborn to the bittersweet moment of letting go. Through powerful and intimate poetry, she explores the joys and struggles of raising a child, the weight of mental health battles, and the silent grief of pregnancy loss.
Motherhood is... speaks to every mother who has loved fiercely, sacrificed endlessly, and carried both the beauty and heartbreak of motherhood in her soul.
Jessica Jocelyn is the thirty-something author of four poetry books (Chasing Wildfires, Finding Daisies, Girl(Remastered), and Ever More), a proud mother, and a nemophilist. By sharing her lived experiences, she strives to deeply connect with her readers and remind them that they are not in this alone. Jessica’s poetry may be hard to hear at times, but it’s always healing to read. In the same vein, her past may be dark, but writing serves as her spark of sunlight. When she isn’t storytelling, you can find this free-spirited goth spending quality time with her family that inspire her every day.
as a mom, this book meant the entire world to me. it captures so many emotions you feel on a daily basis of motherhood but also reminds you to slow down and take it all in because, despite how tiring it all feels, it also moves so very fast. this was a beautiful collection, and the cherry on top was finishing it as i clean up my own daughter's tea set and the critters that go inside her dollhouse, waiting for her.
