Skylar Sole is focused on work, getting her degree, and dreams of the future. Men and relationships have never been at the top of her priority list. Besides, if a girl's got a good vibrator, then why risk a broken heart? The closest thing she has to a relationship is ogling the hottie from the office park who saunters by Stilettos lingerie shop every day on his way to the deli next door. Getting a glimpse of Mr. Wall Street had become the highlight of her work days and starred in all of her fantasies. However, one Sunday afternoon, fantasy becomes reality when Mr. Wall Street shows up at Stilettos with that sexy, lopsided grin and a tantalizing proposition.

5 Stars!

I simply loved this story. It's about Skylar a woman with dreams whose heart has been broken and she's not interested in relationships anymore, and Griffin, a hot and sexy businessman who grew up in foster homes, so he doesn't do commitment. Skylar has been watching Griffin walk past the store she works in, everyday at lunch time, but when he walks in and offers her a relationship with no commitment, and she accepts, they both are happy with the arrangement.

There's not so much drama in it, the story is simple, but there's something to it that I really enjoyed. It's well written, in third person with Griffin and Skylar's POV, even if it's not a very long book, the story develops correctly, there's sexy and hot encounters, a lot of inner monologue from the H and h, and a beautiful end, even though there's no epilogue and I always prefer a book with a good epilogue.

Excellent option to read!

This was a short quick read that was pretty good. Skylar Sole a very independent woman, working at a sex boutique and learning the ropes of business while putting herself through college. She hopes someday to open her own Jewelry shop where she can design or help others design their jewelry. She has no time for men or relationships and has her heart tightly guarded and locked up. This stemming from her Dad leaving her mother. The closest thing she’s come to a relationship is the daily ogling of Mr. Wall Street who passes by her place of employment. Griffin Blaze is everything any woman would desire. He considers himself a stray because he was bounced from foster home to foster. He’s managed to cut out a pretty nice career for himself but he too is gun shy about relationships. However he has been eyeing a particular sales person at Stilettos everyday he walks by on the way to the deli. How convenient. Until on Sunday afternoon he works up the courage to go into the boutique wanting to me Skylar. While she’s in the back room ranting at her boss Franco she spouts off at the mouth about not needing men and taking care of her own pleasure. When she walks out into the store she is shocked, embarrassed and everything else when Mr. Wall Street is standing at the register. For all intense and purposes I think he was just going to ask her out, but when hearing what she said the brilliant idea popped in his head to proposition her. He introduced himself and she introduced herself to him. He asked her to walk with him so they could talk and he could tell her is proposition. They stopped at the deli for coffee and iced tea and he led her to the park. When Skylar asked what the proposition was Griffin responded “SEX”. After some banter back and forth he hands her his card and tells her to think about it since neither was looking for a relationship or commitment. Skylar takes his card and he walks away. Just like that walks away. Well you know she texts him back and say “I’m in”. And so the proposition begins. After their second encounter Griffin really regrets the proposition and the statement of no relationship and no commitment. He’s falling in love with her. This was a pretty good book. This is my first time reading this author and I thought that this book was well written and that the sex scenes were good.

I never thought I would call and erotic romance but, Willow James/ Sara Humphreys’ Pumped is a steamy and sweet contemporary romance all rolled into one tight package. Pumped is the first book in James’s Stilettos and Seduction trilogy and if the first book is any indication readers are going to return for more. Skylar and Griffin are both looking for sex without the relationship strings being attached. They enter into an agreement keeping their personal lives personal. The impersonal relationship all begins to change as emotions start to come into play for the couple. The book began with steam and ends with a tender and emotional sweetness. The characters are well developed and the dialogue draws readers in and keeps rolling through the pages. Pumped is a fantastic book and I highly recommend it to those who love contemporary romance. It is a steamy romance but with a tight plot the steam fits the story.

I love reading Sara Humphrey's Paranormal books, so when I found out she was now writing as Willow James and had a hot new book out, I couldn't wait to read it.

This is a sexy and sensual story that got my attention right away and I didn't want to stop until I read it in one sitting. Pumped is a perfect title for a very enjoyable book, keeps the interest there from beginning until the end.

Deliciously sweet, romantic and sexy

“Pumped” Stilettos and Seductions Novel by Willow James (aka Sara Humphreys)

Sometimes you just want a Calgon moment; you know not too much angst and something you can sink your heart into. That’s what this book is like. A deliciously sweet, sexy romantic read.

Griffin Blaze “Mr. Wall Street” as Skylar refers to him, is everything any woman would desire.

My absolutely favorite excerpt from the book is “I love that face you make when you’re trying to come up with a word for Scrabble when you’ve got crappy letters. I love the way you look in the morning as soon as you wake up, even with that big stupid bandage on your head. I love watching you sleep in my bed, even if I’m not in it with you. I love that my cat wants to hang out with you instead of me. I know it’s crazy because we’ve only really known each other for a little over a week and I don’t have any idea how it happened because it’s never happened to me before.” Skylar asks What’s never happened to you? “Love” “I Love you, Skylar”. Okay so I totally melted. I love this book and I so give this read and Ms. James 5* I can’t see how anyone can not like this story.

REVIEW: Willow James' PUMPED earns five hot and heavy stars!

Willow James (aka author Sara Humphreys) has a new series that we should be talking about. Yes, I mean her Stilettos and Seductions series that centers around a naughty lingerie (and sex toy) shop called Stilettos. PUMPED (Stilettos & Seductions Book One) is a fun read. While described as erotic (which may or may not deter some people from reading), while this book is definitely steamy, I don't find that it needs any warnings. This is, really and truly, a hot, beautiful romance with some very sexy scenes.

Don't get me wrong, PUMPED is more than a little naughty as well as entertaining, sexy, and yes, serious too. It's a novella of about 100 pages, so it's a fairly quick read that I think you'll definitely enjoy. The story opens as dedicated student Skylar, who works full-time at a lingerie (and sex toy) shop Stilettos, is watching for her daily dose of eye candy to walk by, a man who's started work at the office building across the street she calls Mr. Wall Street. Marco, the owner of Stilettos, knows of her fascination with this buttoned-down hunk and plays cupid when said hunk wanders in to Stilettos, just as she's confessing a rather embarrassing lack of "lovin'" in her life.

Griffin (aka Mr. Wall Street) takes Skylar out for a walk and a cup of coffee then makes a proposition that rocks her world. He wants to hook up with her for sex-only, a no-string, no-emotions, non- relationship relationship. At first she seems upset, but when it is apparent that he's been checking her out at the same time she was looking at him, she seems a bit more receptive to this suggestion and becomes fascinated by the opportunity.

She agrees to the bargain as she's not only attracted to him, but at the same time she doesn't want the hassle that she feels a real relationship and love would bring to her life. From the example of her BFF Jess, who keeps having her heart broken by her cheating boyfriend Scott, I can totally understand her lack of interest in and fear of falling in love with someone.

From their first naughty date in the back row of the movie theater, it's apparent that Griffin and Skylar have a connection - probably a real connection. This to me is the real part of the story. I won't share any more details, but if you love a good romance mixed in with some HOT, spicy, and ever-so-naughty action, you'll love PUMPED. I'm definitely looking forward to the next two books in this trilogy and finding out more about what will be happening at Stilettos.

In conclusion, Willow James' PUMPED, her first entry in her new Stilettos & Seductions series earns five hot and heavy stars!

When a favorite author starts stretching her literary muscles it gets a little scary. When a favorite author once again proves, talent is talent.. you have to just cheer.. Author Sara Humphreys, writing as Willow James beings her journey into literary erotica.. and she manages to make it sizzle and steam!

In her first foray into the oh so sensual, Ms James, manages to offer us an almost voyeuristic view into the lives of two ordinary individuals who don't really believe in love. We watch them take the first step on a journey that is guaranteed to protect the heart and feed the body.. *snort* really?

Skylar Sole has a plan, work finish her degree, get her masters and open her own jewelry shop. Committed to the plan she has no time for "relationships" and really doesn't believe in them. A sensual woman working for now in a "toy" shop.. she has no problem recommending the advantages of using her inventory. That being said, she isn't opposed to the occasional real life man.. like the "Mr. Wall Street" one that walks by her store every day at lunch. Now there was a fine specimen of a man.

Griffin Blaze is gorgeous and successful but relationship stunted. After living his life as a "stray" raised in the foster system. Griffin doesn't really believe in happily ever after.. shoot he really doesn't believe in ever after. Tired of women who want more and refusing to purchase one who doesn't. After overhearing a comment Skylar made about a toy being just as good as a man and who needs a relationship Griffin has brainstorm. Why not offer her a no strings attached, sex only relationship. Win/win..

These two people have neither the heart nor desire to be in such a relationship. Almost immediately both realize the sheer stupidity of it but both have committed to it and neither wants to walk away. Afraid to discuss their changing needs a "perfect" relationship almost shatters before tragedy makes them face their true desires and consider taking a chance.

Even in this abbreviated form, Willow James shines.. A detailed and realistic love story about two people who want something they don't even know is real. I loved it.

Pumped is book one in her Stilettos & Seductions Series so plan on going full steam ahead.. (ok, I know too punny)

Pumped

4 1/2 STARS

This is book one in the series Stilettos and Seductions trilogy and we are certainly off to a great start! It is a HOT, Sexy, witty read!

Skylar is a very independent woman working in retail and making her way in the business world while finishing her degree. She has been spending her days working in a lingerie shop and learning the business ropes from her friend/boss
Franco.
She sees "him" walk by the shop each day at lunch on his way to the deli. It has been a daily ritual for months and then recently they have begun to make eye contact through the glass. The handsome business man that she refers to as Wall Street has definitely noticed her as well. They have never exchanged words. Skylar's friends are always encouraging her to seek out male attention but she does not want to be bothered with the hassle. Skylar and her boss Franco happen to be discussing her ways of self gratification and joking about it when they realize Mr. Wall Street is standing there listening. The first conversation between them has so much sexual tension that you can feel the heat on the page! She wants to know why he is here and he states that he has been listening to the conversation and has a proposition for her. They decide to go for lunch and have a chat about what he is thinking. He suggests that neither of them really want the hassle of a conventional relationship so maybe they could have a no string attached sexual relationship to fulfill their needs.
They exchange numbers and Skylar makes her way off to take this all in. She doesn't know if she is capable of this but she can't resist him, so she agrees.
I don't want to give it away so I won't but they end up with a few twists and a little more than they bargained for. The emotions have now clouded their judgment and they must reevaluate their relationship. No one has ever said that a NO-strings affair would be easy!!!
Great read go pick it up to find out what happens to this hot little couple!!!!
I was given this book as an ARC to read for an honest review.

A VERY SENSUAL contemporary romance!

This is actually the 1st book in Willow James', aka Sara Humphreys', new Stilettos and Seductions trilogy. I will definitely be looking for the others as this was a stellar start to the series.

Skylar, our heroine, works at a women's fetish store. Skylar stays busy with work and school, but she dream-lusts after Mr. Wall Street, who passes the shop every weekday as he goes to a nearby diner for lunch. He never comes in ... that is until one Sunday, when he walks in just as Skylar is loudly proclaiming the virtues of her vibrator....

Wes, our hero, is a loner. He's not interested in a romantic relationship but he steals a glance at a young lady who works in a woman's lingerie shop that he passes every day on his way to lunch. One Sunday, he decides to make her an offer...

IF you like your books HOT, pick this up! It wasn't just sex, the story was very good and laugh-out-loud funny too. I couldn't put it down once I started it!

Just finished Pumped by Willow James (aka Sara Humphreys) and absolutely loved this ebook! The story begins with heroine Skylar, who works in a naughty lingerie store, with the highlight of her day seeing a gorgeous guy aka Mr. Wall Street walk by her workplace. It becomes more than just a passing fancy when they begin making eye contact though Skylar is not interested in any guy because she also goes to school. Hero Griffin "Mr. Wall Street" enters Skylar's store one day and that's when they decide to engage in a non-traditional relationship. No spoilers, but sooner or later their plans change and emotions are causing them to re-think their relationship. If you want to find out what happens to these likable characters, don't miss Pumped!

Pumped by Willow James

Skylar Sole checks out Mr Wall Street every lunch time as he passed the shop front window where she worked. That is until the day he walked in and listened to a conversation she was having with her boss.

Griffin Blaze is happy to be running one of the company offices away from the city. He also doesn't mind the sexy girl he sees watching him each day as he goes for lunch.

Deciding to go to the shop Griffin's intentions aren't clear but after hearing a conversation he decides to make Skylar a proposition. Will Skylar accept what Griffin is offering and what will happen when the rules get in the way.

I enjoyed reading Pumped and look forward to reading more of Willow James in the future.

4.5 stars, only because of the length. I loved the dynamic between Griffin and Sky (not to mention I LOVE the name Skylar). I liked how the author built their relationship and showed how it grew within only 70 pages. I felt for both characters as they had to come to terms with what they were feeling. I would have liked the story to be longer since I didn't want to let the characters go, including the supportive characters. Not to mention, Fat Boy is just awesome! If you are interested in a good, short read then I'd recommend this book!

I LOVED this book. Skyler who works at a "toy" shop just doesn't believe in love...why have a man when you can just use "bob"? In comes "Mr. Wallstreet" who walks by the shop everyday on his lunch break. Yeah, he is hot, but she doesn't want to even meet him. Until one day he comes in the shop and overhears the MOST embarrassing line ever by Skyler. This is the beginning of a beautiful, HOT, blossoming relationships. These two decide sex is all they need, but soon find out the heart wants what the heart wants. A must read. Can't wait for the next.

How do you go into a purely physical relationship, and keep your heart in tact?
An interesting scenario and an exceptional first book in the Stilettos & Seduction series by Willow James.
The characters were immensely likeable, and the torn emotions from both parties were genuine, heart felt and endearing.
I truly hope that Ms James keeps us updated on their journey in future novels.
My only gripe; the book ended far too soon!

I picked this little jewel up as a freebie and I am so glad I did. I loved it! It was great writing with good editing (only a few errors). The flow and character development kept me interested and entertained.

From the cover and synopsis I was expecting a little more down and dirty sex than what I got. I was pleasantly surprised at how sensual and romantic it was, especially towards the end.

Loved it and I hope to read more soon!

Talk about insta-love! After a few days and some sexy time both H/h were thinking they were in love and the other was the one. I know I know, I must suspend some reality when escaping into these books, but insta-love just seems so far-fetched to me. That aside, I thought the book was good. It was short and to the point and HOT! I would read more from this author.

Not bad but....

The book was ok but they need to do some editing. there were a lot of spelling problems like on when it should be in... and or when it should be on. Little things like that. But other wise I really did like this book.

good, but short.

Since this book was short, it was hard to get to know the characters better. That being said, I did enjoy the story and look forward to the next book.
