Years ago, my three alpha mates rejected me. Now they’re back, but I’m keeping a big secret… I had their baby.
When I met my mates at a bar, I was young, naïve, and foolish. I followed the mating bond right into bed with them… Only to be rejected the very next morning.
Without their protection, I was vulnerable. A vicious attack left me scarred, broken, and unable to speak. But at least I have my daughter now.
When my mates return, my world fractures again. They’re caught up in something dangerous that I don’t understand. The packs have gathered for peace talks, but something is wrong. People are dying mysteriously. Neighboring villages are being attacked, and no one knows why.
My mates know more than they’re letting on…so why are they lying to me? But despite everything, they want me back… And they’re willing to do whatever it takes to claim me.
Our mating bond pulls us together, and my heat turns me into a needy mess But I can’t forget their rejection… and there's no way I can forgive them.
But our enemies are circling us, and I have to make a Is it worth letting my mates in one last time?
SPOILERS AHEAD: I generally don’t dnf, I’ll push through or skip sections to get to the end of the story, but I cannot do it for this one. I love a sweet FMC, and MMCs who do their FMC wrong but you need to have grovel and the knowledge they did wrong and try to fix it but these MMCs suck. Big time. Oh sorry we rejected you, then you had the most traumatic thing happen, but get over it because I say so now. Could the FMC get and be stronger? Sure! But she was really traumatized from her mates rejecting her/ruining her first nest and then immediately getting her neck torn apart, she deserves a little time here, and the MMCs to feel bad. I kept hoping for a glimmer of something from the MMCs but no, it almost felt like they blamed the FMC? And even the fact that once they saw the FMC again they continued to think they might just take their kid from her, the only good and happy thing she’s got? And again 38% in, they need to take the FMC away (for no reason other than they want her alone with them to strong arm her into something she’s not mentally ready for) she’s uncomfortable leaving her kid and her needs/wants/emotions mean nothing to the MMCs. Even Ian trying to get her to talk for the first time, it comes across as “I want her to speak so I will make her speak”, no love/care/that’s my mate and we will learn this hump in the road together. I just can’t.
DNF but only bc I couldn't suffer through their dumb thought patterns. I skimmed the rest of the book after that.
The FMC forgives them so fast (even if she hems and haws about trust while still letting them do whatever they want) that the sole source of conflict has to be OW fucking drama from then on. 🙄 These idiots brought her into this psychotic woman's path, putting her in danger, while being unable to keep their hands off her while they were supposed to be undercover(ish) and playing the OW's ego and desire for them. So the FMC got to watch them be pawed at while they gave her no explanations when she was hurt by it, and the OW got to have free access to her to put her plan in place. Why are they this dumb??
Not to mention that they were angry with the FMC for "hiding" their daughter from her when they rejected her after their ONS and left her devastated and without their last names or any way to find or contact them for years. Then they were thinking about just kidnapping the daughter and leaving the FMC when they saw her years later because they decided they were owed that much since they found out she existed. They reiterated multiple times that they WERE NOT there for the FMC at all. They just wanted the daughter. Then they decided after like a second that they deserved the FMC too.
No grovel of course because why would fated mates need to grovel? /s
This was my least favourite book in the series. The alphas were pretty selfish by hooking up with her in the beginning, when they knew they were in no position to be able to. By setting that up at the beginning after a one night stand, there was no getting attached to them, and what they did was despicable 🤬.
The story was also overburdened by the Lexa plot. It just wasn’t that interesting. Too much time was spent on Lexa, the peace talks and the compound. The story would have been better served with more time between the mc’s. There was not enough time to get to really know the boys, or understand why she would have been willing to forgive them. Some MAJOR grovelling needed to happen, and it didn’t.
It got better, but not until pretty much the very end unfortunately 😕.
The plot points were great, but the FMC was literally wet paper. These guys ruined her life and the second they show up again, she lets them do literally anything they want. There’s zero fight or resistance. There’s zero grovel or apology from the guys. I’m 38% in and DNF’ing because there’s no point in continuing. Story is already done.
(For context, it’s a well written and good book, I personally just didn’t like it.) Non-existent apologies. The pack did something terrible to Erin, rejected, abandoned, and left her to get brutally attacked and scared. When they find her again, they have no plans to even apologize to her. In fact, in the beginning, they just want to take her daughter and leave her behind. But then when they realize they want to sleep with her, they antagonize her, and belittle her to get a reaction out of her and she just takes it! In fact, she even starts to like them again! Not once in the entire book do they say they’re sorry. In fact, the words “I’m Sorry” are only mentioned three times and never directed towards her. The only sorry she got was from Ian and he’s says, “oh, I never apologized for what happened four years ago, I am sorry.” She’s a pushover unfortunately. And the men or egotistical bullies. Which kind of ruined the book. Sure, she tried to be strong, but she always crumbled under lust and the excuse of pheromones and them being her mates. It felt like a really toxic relationship and when they did tell her why they abandoned her, they made it out to be this great sacrifice they had to make to keep her safe. Not once bothering to ask how she’s feeling. Overall, it made me want to cry in frustration and hurt that she was being angered to do things. They made her angry to force her to speak. Angry to sleep with them and just never really showed themselves to be men who can own up to their mistakes. The writing wasn’t bad, the flow of the story was smooth and the plot was interesting, but I just really disliked the characters and the story line. It was frustrating. I didn’t feel good after reading this book.
The plot was intriguing at first but just not well thought out I think. Like the people getting killed and attacks on villages from the synopsis was mentioned maybe twice? The fmc couldn’t speak but then she spoke and nothing was really said about it after the fact? and then there was no real fleshing out that she could speak and had overcome this big thing which I found a bit lacking. Also I think the villain was first introduced and said something like ‘I can’t believe you guys outrank me’ and then later she is the head bad guy, idk. Also the whole plot of ‘get everyone together with the ominous new leader’ like duh it’s something fishy, it just felt really weak. After all that I mostly skimmed after 60%
Also I don’t think the mmcs are ever described besides height.. and one had gold eyes. “Powers” were also mentioned a few times but then never shown or explained?
And the worst and most egregious offense is what is actually some of the worst dirty talk I’ve ever read, I’ll leave you with the worst “pup jelly”.

This was one of the most disjointed one of the series. The writing felt somewhat juvenile, strewn with run-on sentences a student might use to reach a word count. Key events felt like they were left out, I had to backtrack to remember Erin saying any names during her heat. It felt like the conflict was rushed and treated as a throwaway despite the build up. I was also waiting for Erin to have some omega power as this was a theme in the other two. The epilogue was wholly unnecessary, it should’ve told the story of their final bonding together.
Narcissistic mmc's... think that they have a right to their daughter just because she is biologically one of their's even though they rejected and abandoned their mate? Selfish... Forcing her to talk about her trauma when she isn't ready? Bullies... They don't even seem sorry... AT ALL. They just show up and expect her to forgive them because they want something from her.
And the fmc has the opportunity to avoid them and leave it all behind but instead doesn't want to "let them win" so she stays? She's just as annoying for different reasons.
There is no chemistry. Just a bond that is forcing this traumatized woman into the arms of 3 abusive men.
Some of the awful, toxic, abusive, crap that the mmc's say/think:
"Don't make this into something that it isn't, omega."
"I'm forced to watch helplessly as they destroy my nest and steal their clothes back."
"Our mate? I've never heard anything more pathetic."
"if our omega doesn't want to give us our pup. She's hidden her away for long enough (THEY LEFT. NOT HER?) We have rights. (WTF!) She should have known better. (As if she had any real choice in the matter when she had no way to contact them?)"
"There is no way to fix things with Erin, but our child? I'm not going to waste that chance."
"She would protest, and our wolves would fight, but I would find a way to make her understand." (Okay... so literally thinking about assaulting her because she has made it clear she has no interest?)
"I'm not here for her. None of us are here for her." (They are just there to take her daughter...)
"I'm going to hunt her down... and then I think once she scent me, it will be all easy-peasy." (Because of course she has no real free will in their minds?)
"The brute in me wants to march inside, throw the kid over my shoulder, and leave this place at once. Erin (THE MOTHER OF SAID CHILD) can come if she wants." (Right... because they have more rights to the daughter than the mother??)
"A bit too trusting, if you ask me. (Talking about the child.) Sure, it's good that she's sweet, but she's clearly growing up soft." (Right... because growing up by a loving parent that makes you feel safe is SUCH a bad way to grow up?)
Sorry for the long rant... but this shit ^^^^^ is not okay. And we need to stop writing books with men that act like this and a woman that actually accepts the behavior.

I truly wanted to give this a higher rating but I can’t stand the MMCs. This may be a personal preference as I wanted to see real grovelling from them. The men when they discover they have a daughter plan on taking her from the FMC and are angry she never told them. Yet they took years to find her and she had less resources and information than them. When they do see her again they bully their way into her life completely disregarding anything she says. It’s meant to be teasing but it comes across arrogant and selfish. They even trick the Dr into revealing the FMC’s medical file and then bully her when she gets upset about it. They never once actually sat down and actually talked about what happened to her, but had no qualms in telling her what they’d been through. Then they take her away from her daughter for the very first time not for a few hours but then several days. They take her with them cause they want her safe even though they’re taking her somewhere extremely dangerous. One of them even says he’s unsure if it’s the bond or their feelings drawing them together. Then few hours later he marks her during a heat. When her heat ends there’s no real aftercare. The MMCs (or one at least) has sex with her even though she’s extremely sore and sensitive. They then all leave her even though one says he’s going to get her food. Surprise (sarcasm included)! He doesn’t so she ends up in a dangerous situation. Then at the end she’s forgiven them saying there’s nothing to forgive. Not once have they truly shown with words or actions that they are good for her. They’ve simply bullied her into accepting them. There’s so much they do wrong and probably only one maybe two things they do right. If they grovelled just a little I probably would’ve liked it more. Ultimately, well written but they would’ve been better off single.
I didn't realize this book was part of a series until I had it downloaded on my phone, but I went ahead and jumped right into it because of the surprise baby meets rejected mates’ angle that the synopsis was talking about. However, I just feel like I would've enjoyed this book more if I read the series in order and I really wish that the synopsis mentioned something about reading in order. I just felt like I didn't understand the world or how the omegaverse system worked here. I don't blame the book I should've looked into the series more before reading. I'm just so used to everything being a series of standalones nowadays.
Anyway, as for this book, I wish that we focused more on the action side of things. It just kind of felt like the book was trying to stuff everything into one book. I really liked the suspense side and would've loved to have more backstory for the guys and Erin.
This was probably my least liked omegaverse I’ve ever read. I can’t even begin with the amount of bull these men pulled. You know what? Actually if you LIKE when a girl gets her nest destroyed, abandoned after getting impregnated and then her throat gets ripped out,but then they want to steal the kid she had, so they betray everyone, she goes into heat and miraculously forgives them all. Magic, fairytale, doormat bull. Then this is the book for you. These men have the emotional depth a teaspoon. They are just pathetic little self interested puppets. The fmc is a pathetic doormat. That literally is supposed to have ptsd from BEING ABANDONED AND GETTING HER THROAT TORN THE F OUT. But it’s okay her inner “omega” likes these pathetic men so HEY LETS LET THEM AROUND YA CHILD.
One hot & steamy night together led to a morning where Omega - Erin to be rejected by Trent, Wren & Ian. As well as being attacked the day after and left pregnant with no one to rely on but herself. She found her way to a sanctuary that took her in. Only for years later the same Alphas to rock back up into her life stirring up trouble. My heart went out to Erin in this book. She went through so much & even though I understood why the Alpha's left it was still heartbreaking to read. I genuinely liked Erin and how she grew as a character throughout this book. A great read with characters that I loved from both this book and tying in books in this series.
Reading this book made me feel frustrated and helpless. I got pretty far but DNF after the highlights in kindle bc I couldn't stand trying to read it enough to get to the resolution. Which apparently never comes. I truly don't understand how this passes for story. Are there actually readers who enjoy reading about spineless h's who get no say in their own lives, slaves to men and their own hormones? It baffles me.
when I saw so many of the tropes (secret baby, rejected mates, mute FMC), I was so excited for this. it totally fell flat. there were so cringe moments (especially during the spicy scenes - like telling the fmc he was about to "ejaculate" (who says this!?) or fill her with his "jelly" 🤢) the MCs were so mean/cruel and demanding of the fmc. there was just a lot I didn't like.
I really enjoyed this book it was very emotional which I wasn’t prepared for but still loved it. It also made me fall in love even more with Rian’s pack so I definitely recommend reading the other books before this one so you can get the vibe from all the characters and have a better understanding.
There were things I liked. Erin was a great character. I couldn’t imagine the strength it would take to survive after all of it.
I absolutely hated how all 3 guys would taunt her to help her with her voice. They were complete jerks for most the book. I don’t believe they redeemed themselves as well as they should have.
Really not my kind of FMC. She forgave them so quickly and I felt like she never got to grow and show her strength. I do think it had some good suspense with world building though.
Está bien si estás con el azogue de leer hombres-lobo harem con omegaverse (esto la verdad es que me da igual). Anda... Que es el último de una saga de 27 :_)
This story minimizes trauma and everything surrounding recovery in an irreverent and, frankly, offensive way.
This essentially has the FMC (18) experience her first time because of *pheromones* (okay, that's not awesome, but not horrible because they're supposed to be a perfect match and fate and all) and then she is cruelly rejected by her three would-be mates (30?) and then as she walks home after being rejected (which has serious physical psychological and/or magical effects for omegaverse and werewolves) she is brutally attacked, nearly bonded (basically pheromone slavery) against her will, has her throat ripped out, and then left to die.
Then the alphas (30s?) show back up and essentially tease and screw the trauma right out of her.
If I could have given it a lower rattling, I would have.
