Wait wait wait? That's the end? Why did that feel less like the end than any of the other volumes?? I mean I think I get it because the story is no longer Hazuki and Naoto's. This volume focused so much more on the kids and even the teachers. It makes sense for the author to pursue a spin-off instead of milking the same story, but I'm going to miss this little family. I'm sure we'll see them in the teacher's spin off, but not in the same way.

I did really enjoy this volume. Seeing more of Shizuku and Daiki and their school life. Watching how Shizuku and the other children have grown up. I loved seeing how close Hazuki and Shizuku have gotten and how everyone kept talking about how similar she was to him. I feel like Naoto and Hibiki weren't in this volume as much as I would like, but the moments that did happen were precious. This is an incredibly sweet series. One of my favorite omegaverse and it's honestly a crime that not a single English publisher has picked this up for translation?? What are they doing??

With the previous volume in the series, I started getting worried about where the story may go. I was still loving every second, but Naoto was still incredibly insecure and nervous, and I felt like we were getting trapped in a cycle I would quickly tire of, which would have been a shame considering the series' immediate grasp on my emotions. I'm glad to say that we have broken free!

The volume focused more on the children, and it was done in such a well-done and thought-provoking way, I couldn't put the book down. We get to see Minato adjusting to being a big brother, but what really grabbed my attention was Shizuku and Daiki's story. In a world where societal biases exist in such a way based on designation, seeing how that translates to the development of the children in such a world is an amazing addition to the story and the character's progression. I loved getting to contemplate the impacts of a prejudiced parent's views on their children and how that, in turn, influences how that child interacts with their peers, and I enjoyed seeing the kids find confidence and self-esteem in themselves.

This book honestly makes a great example for why books, no matter the genre, are political. In this volume alone, we deal with gender discrimination, hate speech, health care, education systems, and non-heteronormative family dynamics, all of which are topics that are actively being silenced right now.

I read it as soon as I got home and found the book in my mail, and I'm glad to say that this volume has revitalized my love for the story. I can't wait to see where this goes.

Well that was a fast turn around, going from hey let's think about a third to bringing a new baby home. Minato doesn't take very well at first to no longer being the baby of the family or the center of Mama's attention. Shizuka continues to be a huge help at home while learning to navigate her own changing world. She really does seem to take after Hazuki in some ways though, especially given how she confronts her classmates and then decides she's found her mate. It would probably be more shocking at this point if she didn't see that through, if the series goes that far, though her parents are certainly struggling to be supportive while also falling apart that she's growing up and cares about someone outside their immediate family now.

I'm not sure why omegaverse stories are so good at heartwarming family tales, but they very often are, and this series is no exception. This volume also does a remarkably good job of exploring the ways that parental bias gets passed down to children, as Shizuku's omega-hating classmate discovers that his mom's virulent hatred of omegas not only isn't universal, but stands to hurt him just as much as those he rejects. It's very well done and, needless to say, has real-world parallels that are important to note. Fantasy racism gets a lot of grief, but sometimes the best way to address a real world problem is to put a coat of fantasy paint on it.

Shizuku, the woman that you are, I completely adore her. And Daiki, he's such a lovely boy, too. Seeing them all grown up like that made me feel nostalgic, like I still remember when they were in kinder.
I really hope we'll get more volumes focused on the kids, mostly cause they are so cute and I absolutely love reading about them, but also because the main story between Hazuki and Naoto feels finished

This series is all the feel goods!!!! It's sweet and cute even though it hit issues like discrimination and in the earlier books rape. It's mostly about finding the person that makes you feel safe and loved. The kids are the cutest and I love watching them grow, especially the daughter who the book followed mostly. I always smile when I see this come in the mail and the series hasn't disappointed me yet.

This was such a sweet volume!! Even though I would've loved to see more of the actual pregnancy instead of (1st page) "Welcome the new family member" though this was cute too, and left more space for the rest of the story.

It was interesting to see the interactions between the kids, adapting to Aoi being here now. Along with this whole volume being more focused on the kids and their development and relationships, both in- and outside the family.

Really looking forward to the next volume!
