Philia’s hope of wedded bliss is interrupted by the news that the pope, sacred leader of her faith, has passed—and that his will names her as his successor?! Together with her fiancé Prince Osvalt, she heads to the neighboring nation of Dalbert, seat of the papacy, to investigate how this came to be. There, the duo finds proof of a conspiracy that tampered with the pope’s will! Can they get to the bottom of this? Or is Philia’s newfound happiness in Parnacorta doomed to be short-lived?
Things are finally peaceful, and Philia is enjoying her new life, even if she is still somewhat unsure in certain aspects of her relationships as she's still unused to being seen as more open rather than always compared to her sister. Oddly, her sister and Grace seem to have a rather amusing jealous feud going on, though they mostly keep it under control at Philia's urgings. Her interactions with the her new fiancé are also very sweet, even if their relationship may be a tad rushed. There's an unusual twist here with this new adventure to the holy land and the ties back to Parnacorta's past. Fortunately, Philia has some rather strong bonds in her new life and an uncanny knack for figuring out difficult situations. Add it a lot of work and a good deal of faith, and there's still a fighting chance for their happily ever after.
