"IT WAS FATHER WHO LED EVERYTHING TO THIS POINT!"Jun was a teenage recluse, content to seal himself away in his room, but fate had other plans for him! When he orders an actually magical doll named Shinku, he gets swept up in a supernatural adventure beyond his wildest dreams! Shinku, captured by Kirakishou, flees to a temporary body in an alternate world where Jun chose not to awaken Shinku. In this world, she lives with a university student version of Jun. Faced with a harsh reality, Jun begins to create his own doll, only for an unexpected visitor to arrive! The fourth volume of the collector's edition commemorating the 20th anniversary of the timeless masterpiece Rozen Maiden!
Peach-Pit (ピーチ・ピット Pīchi Pitto) is a female manga artist duo in Japan, made up of Banri Sendo (千道 万里 Sendō Banri) and Shibuko Ebara (えばら 渋子 Ebara Shibuko). Their group name derives from the diner hangout Peach-Pit from the TV show Beverly Hills, 90210. Although both have similar styles, with some artwork it is possible to identify which artist drew it. Both are known for their bishōjo styled works. As noted in their books, they are both Geminis and have "Almost flushed our phones down the toilet...twice."
The two of them grew up together and went to the same elementary school and have been best friends ever since. Both started as doujinshi manga artists, but not as Peach-Pit. Then they were scouted by Dengeki Comic Gao!. In 2008, one of their manga, Shugo Chara!, was awarded the Kodansha Manga Award for best children's manga. Shugo Chara was also turned later into an Anime television series.
The fourth volume in the newest collector's editions! This time we are still at Unwound Jun who isn't doing too well. If only he could see what Shinku can see that he did so many awesome things, he went to school, he went to uni, he is doing all sorts of things, he has grown and he has so much potential waiting for him, he just needs to open his eyes. I loved that. And we also get to see Suigintou, Kanaria, and various other dolls which I just loved! We even got some excitement with Kirakishou and I was on the edge of my seat reading that. What would Jun do, what would he pick knowing all he knows about this world that is losing its opportunities, I just loved every moment. Plus, we also meet Wound Jun + there is a whole lot more. This is a packed volume and I cannot wait for the next instalment given everything that happened and all that needs to happen. Go both Juns!
So cute, so adorable and so enjoyable. I was smiling, screaming and kicking my legs into the air. I'm surprised dogs were not barking with how hard I was squeeing
I picked it up, and finished reading it a couple hours later. I tried putting it down for a break--but was unable to
Then the biggest tragedy happened... a cliff hanger
I had not seen any information on a Vol 5 so I started screaming and howling. Was this another case of a series cancelled before it was finished? Taken down at a height of heights with nothing further--oh wait no, there is a Vol 5 being worked on... it will come out in April 2026
Still... got a good cardio workout from that. Won't need to go jogging for a whole fortnite
I will be rereading this--and the other three--before the next Volume is released in April 2026. Luckily none of my neighbours seem to own dogs, so the noises I make while enjoying reading this will not bother anybody
This series is so ridiculously unreasonably cute and adorable and lovely and squee inducing
