Seo Hyunsoo’s relationship—if you can call it that—with his coworker Baek Youngchan is getting too complicated. Hyunsoo knows his personality is difficult to deal with, which is why he’s always had a hard time making friends. So how can the ever-positive Youngchan put up with him, both in the office and in bed? However, his decision to end things doesn’t go over well with Youngchan, bringing new tension to the office that everyone can sense. And to top it all off, Hyunsoo’s mom ends up in the hospital. If ever Hyunsoo needed a boyfriend to lean on, now would be the time. But is Youngchan up for the challenge?
The back and forth between these two is ridiculous 😂 I keep coming back for more though 🙊
If there was one thing I appreciated about this volume was that we got to see Seo allow himself to be more vulnerable around Baek. He’s going through a rough time considering his mom has returned from the US after being in a string of abusive relationships, and he’s suddenly needing to support her during this difficult time while she’s recovering in the hospital. Instead of completely pushing Baek away, he actually leans on him and shows that he needs him. It was so sweet 🥺
The only aggravating thing is that Seo seems to be completely oblivious to how serious Baek is about him 🤦🏻♀️ It’s obvious that Baek is head over heels for him and genuinely cares about his well being, but Seo is now even more uncertain because Baek has revealed that he’s never been with a man before. I need Seo to get a grip!
Regardless, I look forward to the next volume in this series 😌
Argh, the angst starts here. I feel for Hyunsoo. He’s such an uptight person who tries not to have feelings, while Youngchan is pushy and may come off as imprudent. Because Youngchan doesn’t really have experience with relationships, he doesn’t know how to add, and sex is the only way to connect with Hyunsoo.
Hyunsoo has a small support group now, the barista and Yeonji, but still doesn’t open up.
“The gaze yearning to lick me and swallow me whole and the scent of cologne lingering around my nose are suffocating me.”
The misunderstanding and miscommunication killed me here. Two grown-ups not knowing how to talk about feelings and their situationship. Like, come on!
Hyunsoo’s relationship with his mother is so complex. I now understand a bit more of why he keeps people away.
😳😳😳🥵 Hyunsoo and Youngchan are slowly overcoming each other’s personality to find some semblance of a normal relationship. Although they’ve not defined what they have Youngchan seems more vocal to the fact that he likes and cares for Hyunsoo. There are questionable moments like the office scene in the beginning of the volume but it also seems like Hyunsoo is using certain times like that to forget what’s bothering him in the moment. We are left with another cliffhanger as to who this man is and I agree with our barista buddy that Hyunsoo attracts dangerous looking people.

This has been my favorite volume of the series so far. I loved seeing Hyunsoo's vulnerable side so much. I still don't really get Baek Youngchan's character, but their relationship is moving in a direction that I kind of like especially now that they're having more direct conversations. I'm hoping the rest of series continues to improve. I was sure I would drop it soon, but this volume really turned it around for me.
This is definitely the best volume of the series so far. The depth of the characters, especially the focus on Seo was so well done. I enjoyed reading every single page!!
Also, the panels where they got rougher were chef's kiss 👌 Thoroughly enjoyed those.
They still aren't on the same page but we're walking towards the right direction! This definitely had more spice than all the other volumes so be warned 😏 and that cliff hanger ending?!?!
