I've been engrossed watching the 4 Elements series on tv. Having faithfully watched the Earth and the just-concluded the Water series, I really look forward to the Air and Fire series. I was very happy to find that the books these shows are based on have English translation. So, while waiting weekly for the episodes to be released, I can read the books. Pretty sure the tv show will have changes from the book, but no matter. They have to condense the book into 8 episodes. I really enjoy the story of Lom and Blew. It's the classic bodyguard and princess falling in love. There's a murder attempt and plot to replace Princess Blew with an imposter. But all through it all, Lom is there to protect her, with the help of her family.

I literally flew through this book. Less than 24hours to finish it not bad. It was an extremely easy read. Very entertaining. The story feels like a short one but it wasn’t. It just grabbed my focus all the time so it went by fast. Most of the book was packed with action scenes and then it turned to a diabetes festival at the end. It was sweet and cute.

One thing I keep mentioning on these reviews is that these book are not truly that serious. They read more like fanfictions if you know what I mean. Come to read it with that in mind so don’t judge too harshly.

The cousins were so so involved in this story it honestly made my day. I love when all of them would pop up. It is interesting to see them in different situations outside their own stories. Also seeing how their relationships evolved as well.

I started to read all of these books because the adaptation is coming up soon so I wanted to be prepared. I just wanna say that freen and becky will for sure do a great job with this book. Most of the series has vayo longing for the princess silently while being proper and respectful. I bet Freen intense eyes will do wonders to convey those emotions. The yearning is something freen and becky do very well. I cannot wait to see it.

So far this is the worst of the 4 elements book i have read (i still have fire to read).

The author really doesn't know how to convey the runaway experience, they just move from place to place to talk to people and then the rebels find them and they escape again to another place. And somehow they fall so deeply in love with each other in one month of running away?

Also this "european" monarchy is truly the worst, maybe the rebels were right trying to overthrow it.

First of all the death penalty in a country that considers itself civilized its an oxymoron.

Second the fact that you have to give up your royal title because you want to marry a commoner, stupid. Because that is closer to what happens in the japanese monarchy were women cannot inherit the throne, but here Blew is going to be the Queen which means they have already changed their rules for her to inherit and if this is a pure monarchy what can stop them from changing this stupid rule too.

The king deserves to be dethroned, i can't even imagine what kind of hell do the citizens of Madeline live in. And why is he so intent on leaving the throne to his 20something child? Because he's a bad father and even worse king, that's why no one wants him and they are trying to dethrone it.

I really struggled with this book, I hope Freenbecky can turn it around.

Lastly i understand Din and Nam being virgins, it made sense story wise. But then you have a playgirl and she's also a virgin that doesn't get laid before marriage? (having sex before marriage is not a sin and you are not sullying your partner...well it is a sin in many religions but so is lesbianism and yet here we are) If the author really wanted to keep her puritan view of the world (just hugs and kisses like in middle school) Wayo could have just not being written as a PLAYGIRL.

One more book to go and I'll be free.

เล่มนี้เป็นเรื่องของ วาโย วาทินวณิช (ลม, วินด์) ผู้หมวดคนเก่งต้องมาทำหน้าที่อารักขา เจ้าหญิงแคทเธอรีน บลู เดอเลน่า (คุณบลู, พัดพา) แต่ดันเกิดปัญหา มีกบฏนำเจ้าหญิงตัวปลอมมาสวมรอยแทน ด้วยหน้าที่ผู้หมวดจึงต้องปกป้องเจ้าหญิง และเสี่ยงเป็นเสี่ยงตายปฏิบัติภารกิจเพื่อนำพาเจ้าหญิงกลับคืนสู่ราชบัลลังก์

เรื่องนี้มีความตื่นเต้นพอสมควรและหักมุมท้ายๆเรื่อง อ่านแล้วรู้สึกว่าคู่นี้เป็นลูกรักของนักเขียนแน่ๆ 5555 แต่อ่านแล้วมีตะหงิดหน่อยหนึ่ง คือไม่เคยเห็นเจ้าองค์ไหนให้สามัญชนเรียกตัวเองว่าคุณมาก่อนเลย พระ-นางใช้คำราชาศัพท์น้อยเกิน ทั้งๆ ที่เป็นเป็นเรื่องเกี่ยวกับราชวงศ์ และมีบทสนทนากับคนระดับมงกุฎราชกุมารีเลยนะ มันเลยไม่อินเท่าไร เรียกคุณบลูทั้งเรื่อง จริงๆ ใช้คำว่าฝ่าบาทก็ได้ เพราะดี แล้วก็ฟังดูเท่ ดูไม่อาจเอื้อมดี

แต่ชอบสุดๆ ของเรื่องนี้คือการแต่งงานของพระ-นาง คือประทับใจมากจริงๆ เป็นการแต่งงานในโบสถ์ใน village เล็กๆ ในมาเดลิน มีแค่บาทหลวงและพระเจ้าเป็นสักขีพยาน ทั้งๆ ที่แคทเธอรีนคือ Crown Princess เป็นรัชทายาท No.1 คือโคตรดี โคตรโรแมนติก คืออ่านแล้วรู้สึกว่าเขารักกันจริงๆ อ่านแล้วเห็นภาพลอยมาเลยประทับใจมาก

ต่อให้เก่งกาจหรือมีฝือมือแค่ไหน เจ้าหญิงสูงส่งที่อยู่หลังกำแพงสูงชันก็ไม่มีวันที่เธอจะก้าวข้ามไปถึง
วาโย: "ใช่ ซึ่งฉันไม่สามารถข้ามไปได้หรอก เพราะฉะนั้นต่อไปนี้ระหว่างฉันกับคุณบลู..."

I’ve only read two books from the 4 Elements series so far, but this one is now my bias, ig. If I were younger, I might have snubbed this book. Haha. I’d probably tell my younger self to stop being such an elitist, ‘cause gurl, you don’t know what you’re missing.

This is prolly one of the books I’ve read the quickest. It was so satisfying. Me love some good dose of court politics, and somewhat tour to different regions of Thailand. Reading it kinda felt like a cultural experience also. Much like watching The Loyal Pin, learning more about Thai cuisine and practices.

This book actually made me cry twice (555). I’m so excited to see this adapted on screen, esp with Freen and Becky. Lom and Princess Blew are such beautifully flawed characters.

It’s honestly so good to be gay in this era.

Me gustó, pero no tanto, Está bueno para pasar el rato, pero a comparación de las otras 3 historias no está tan buena esta. Personalmente la historia se me hizo medio aburrida, sentía que no avanzaba. También siento que la blue no tiene personalidad, el personaje es muy chato, como que no hace nada siempre está ahí sin hacer nada esperando que wayo haga todo

Even though this is the third book of the saga owning a good plot as well, i must say that the first two had me so hooked and lost with the plot that i couldn’t figure it out how they were going to end… so i’m rating it this way just because it was such a predictable novel.
However i liked it a lot, but i rather like the first two even more🥹🙌🏼👑💂‍♀️

This that this book is an interest read about how Wayo found her true love without actively looking for one, and how all of the tension and depth that has been built throughout her adventures with Princess Catherine Blew -whilst protecting her safety. This novel is well translated and I was able the grasp the feelings felt by both the lieutenant and the princess. As a bonus, they author had added an addition of five special chapters covering through their lives together as partners.

I never read gl stories in my life. This is the first gl book i ever read. Good story line and character development outstanding. Thinking about freen and Becky while reading this story made me comfortable to imagine the storyline so easily.
