⭐️ 4/5 — Hockey themes? ✅️ Daddy kink? ✅️ Emotional comfort? ✅️ Yeah, this one skated straight into my soft spot. 🥹🏒💞
🌶 2/5 — A sprinkle of heat, just enough to make you blush 😚🤭

💭 My Rambling 💭

Sooo… I’ve been watching way too many damn hockey reels and TikToks 🏒💀 Like, full-on spiraling levels of obsession. I know the rules now (barely 🤪), I cheer for random teams I don’t even follow, and suddenly every guy with a stick and a jersey looks suspiciously hot. 🤷🏻‍♀️ So obviously, I needed a hockey romance fix—but not the gritty, sweaty, full-playbook kind. I wanted comfort. I wanted Daddy energy. I wanted soft hands, warm hugs, and gentle words. 🫂💞

So I picked up The Puck Daddy by Kota Quinn and honestly? It was exactly what my brain and heart needed. It’s got hockey flavor, sure, but the real game here is the Daddy/boy dynamic—tender, nurturing, and sweet as hell. 😚 Don’t expect hard-hitting matches or dramatic team rivalries; think more cozy sweaters, late-night talks, forehead kisses, and soft “I’ve got you, baby” moments. 🥹🩷

It's soft. It's warm. It's like being wrapped in the coziest damn blanket while sipping hot cocoa topped with mini marshmallows 🫕 A low-angst, high-sweetness, comfort-core read that made me melt and giggle like a little fool. 🤭 Basically, the perfect cure for when life's a shitshow and you just want love, caretaking, and a Daddy who cuddles the ever loving shit out of you. 😚💖

💕✨ The Meet-Cute: “Oh My God, You’re Real?” ✨💕

Quote (Theo’s POV):
Light footsteps click across the wooden patio until they pause nearby.
“Theo?”
I blink my eyes open—and holy hell, there he is. Adrian DeLuca, prettier in person, dressed in a suit that fits him like a damn dream.
He lowers himself to the ground in front of me, those gray eyes wide and bright. Then, out of nowhere, he pokes my cheek.
“Oh my god. You’re real?” he laughs, pure giddy joy lighting up his face.

💭 THIS SCENE WAS SO STINKIN' CUTE!! GAH!!! 😩🥹This entire meet-cute had me kicking my damn feet 😆💞 Adrian has been crushing on Theo since he was thirteen (yes, THIRTEEN), and now he’s finally face-to-face with his real-life hockey hero—and HE POKES HIM IN THE CHEEK LIKE A LOVESICK PUPPY! 🥹 I can’t even! The man’s on his knees, smiling like sunshine, and Theo’s just sitting there losing brain cells over how pretty he is. The chemistry? The awe? The “oh my god he’s real” energy?? ✨️Perfection✨️. Pure serotonin. 💘 My heart melted faster than ice in a penalty box 😍🫠

💔 Even the Strong Get Tired Too 😭

Quote (Adrian):
People never understand. All they see are my muscles and build, and they assume.
All my previous boyfriends and hook-ups assumed I was a top. No one ever bothered to look after me. No one catered to my wants or needs, even when I asked.

Quote (Theo’s POV):
Adrian shakes his head. He rakes a hand through his hair. “This is going to sound really bad, but…” he trails off.
“It’s okay, you can tell me.”
He looks over at me, his eyes pleading with mine. “I’m so tired, Theo. And sometimes I just wish… I wish it was my turn. Sometimes I wish someone out there would care enough to want to take care of me.”
I inhale sharply, fisting my hand and rubbing my chest. I rub at that spot just above my heart.
I pull Adrian to my side, wanting to cuddle him close to me. He snuggles into my embrace.

💭 God. Those scenes destroyed me. 💔😭 You can feel every ounce of exhaustion in Adrian’s voice—that quiet, aching kind of tired that doesn’t come from lack of sleep but from always being the one who gives, protects, endures. The man’s built like a damn tank, yet right here, he’s bleeding soft. 😫😢 And when Theo pulls him close instead of pulling away? That’s not just comfort, that’s salvation. The moment someone finally says, “You don’t have to be strong all the time because I'm here now.” 🥹

🏒💞 Full-Circle Feels and Fate’s Assist 💞💫

Quote (Theo's POV):
“I’ve been dying to ask you about that first night we met. How did you know who I was?”
Adrian squirms. “You’re the whole reason I decided to become a center.”
My mouth drops open. “When?”
“Nine years ago. I was thirteen. You were still playing in the NHL… you might have been talking to a whole lecture hall, but deep down, you were only speaking to me.”
I whisper, stunned, “Damn.” It hits me square in the chest.

💭 This scene wrecked me in the best way. Like—hello?? That’s not just admiration, that’s a whole lifetime of quiet devotion crashing into the present. Adrian’s been carrying this tiny spark of awe since he was thirteen, and now he’s sitting right in front of the man who unknowingly shaped his dreams. And Theo? Completely floored, because he never realized he could mean that much to someone. Ugh. Fate really said “Let me make you feel this one.” 🥹💞💫

🌶 Mild Heat, Major Feels ❤️‍🔥

Quote (Adrian’s POV):
“Fuck, baby boy. Please. Please suck Daddy’s cock.”
Oh god. Just hearing Theo Walsh beg for me is the single hottest thing I’ve heard in my whole life. I eagerly take his cock down my throat.
-
He groans so loud, I almost thought he was actually coming, but his cock is still thick and leaking in my mouth. “I’m gonna come, boy. Whatever you do, don’t swallow. You hear me? Hold it in your mouth until I say.”
“Don’t swallow,” he commands again, still panting heavily. “Now go on, spit. Use my cum as lube and get yourself off.”

💭 Okay, so the spice? Let’s call it gentle simmer because it's super low on the quantity. 🤭 Theo might have that Daddy energy, but it’s soft, tender, earned. The focus wasn’t on the filth—it was on the trust, the surrender, and that quiet, holy shit moment when you realize this is what safe desire feels like. Sweet, intimate, and hot enough to make you blush without needing to hide your e-reader under a pillow. 😏😚

📝 TLDR 📝

Give this one a go if you’re into:
💞 Low angst, high heart, and a boy who finally gets to rest in someone’s care.
🧸 Soft Daddies who know how to care, not just command.
🏒 Light hockey vibes—more cozy locker-room banter than intense play-by-play.
🫂 Comfort, caretaking, and emotional connection that feels like a warm hug.
🫕 Cozy, comforting read—like hot chocolate with a shot of Daddy feels.

-
Quotes: ⚠️ Spoilers ⛔️

From his kneeling position, Adrian’s pretty, large eyes sweep up my body. It’s as if time stands still. I’m lost in that gray gaze, captivated. Frozen in place. The fact he’s kneeling and looking up at me in that sweet way has my cock jerking and my jeans growing tight.
My gaze sweeps down to his flushed cheeks and over to his plush lips. Adrian’s stare drops to my groin, proving that he isn’t a kid at all. I fight the urge to cover up my half chub so I don’t bring more attention to it.
“Oh yeah,” Adrian breathes. “I’m definitely gay.”
-
I would kill for someone to do sweet Daddy-like things for me—like click my seatbelt in place, wrap me up in his strong arms, or just look after my well-being. There’s something so hot about the idea of a dominant man taking care of me. Not just from a sexual perspective, but damn, I also wouldn’t mind calling someone Daddy while he dishes out a little ‘funishment.’
-
I couldn’t care less about someone’s age. It’s more about the vibes or their personality. Theo projects an aura of self-assurance and power. It’s that commanding presence that I find attractive, not how old he is.
-
Felix kicks me in the shin. “Yeah, not stalking him, my ass. Why didn’t you freaking tell me the guy you’re crushing on is the same guy who helped little baby Adrian come to the realization he’s as gay as a rainbow?”
-
If anyone were to get a good look at us, we’d probably look ridiculous; a grown man buckling in another man who is even more built than he is. But fuck it. Fuck them. Anyone who has a problem with it can look away.
-
Some people might think it’s strange that he’s reminding me to eat and drink, or to get plenty of sleep.
But I fucking love it.
-
“And for my second question, please tell me we can get physical.”
My cock jerks to attention. “That isn’t a question, boy.”
A teasing smirk filled with mischief replaces the innocent look he was giving me. He pushes his empty plate to the side as he leans across the table so only I can hear. “Please, Daddy. Can I be physical with you?”
Fucking hell. I don’t think I’ve ever paid the check faster.
-
I’m about to get off his lap when he hugs me tighter. “Where do you think you’re going?”
I laugh. “I guess I’m staying put.” Even though I’m bulkier than Theo, I decide that if he doesn’t want me to leave, I’ll just take advantage of it and cuddle up against him.
-
“Daddy?”
“Yes, Adrian?”
“I really want to move in with you. I wanted to the moment you asked me. I just didn’t want to come on too strong or seem too needy.”
I pull him into a soft kiss. “You could never be too needy for me, boy. Now, let’s go home. You’ve made Daddy very happy.”
-
A snapping sound can be heard, and suddenly I know my Daddy is opening his bottle of lube and coating his thick cock.
“My strokes are fast and desperate,” I moan. “But I’m so empty. Empty for you, Daddy.”
Daddy groans. “Fuck, baby. Is that what you want? You need Daddy inside of you?”
I nod frantically until I realize he can’t see me. “Will you do that, Daddy? Will you stretch me open and fuck me?”
“Yes, sweet boy. I bet that little hole of yours is so tight.”
Oh, my. I never realized how into dirty talk I am. “I’m so close. Please, please, let me come.”
-
He kisses the back of my neck tenderly, cuddling me from behind. He’s still hard, and inside of me. I want to fall asleep like this.
I smile, feeling lust drunk and happy. Sweet boy. Filthy boy. Baby boy. I love all the titles. But I especially love being called his.
-
After only one night of sleeping in the spare room, he wiggled his way into my room, his new stuffed dragon in hand, and cuddled up with me until he fell asleep. He’s been in my bed ever since.

Very cute, simplistic Daddy-boy hockey romance. Adorable meet-cute when college hockey star Adrian sees his long-time hero, retired former pro-hockey-player Theo, working in his local pub!

Safe for me.

Not super deep, not super layered, but, good solid fun if you want to unplug and just eat up something filling and enjoy Daddy kink. There is some weird fake-dating nonsense that was ridiculous because, just...you really like each other and should just actual date, the whole "fake" thing felt forced just to say it's that trope. But. Whatever. I had fun!

HEA, age-gap, college hockey star meets childhood crush/hockey inspiration, Daddy-boy dynamic. Fake dating discussed, which was silly/didn't need to be a thing/didn't add anything. These two were into each other from the start. Safe for me! Recommended.

I liked this but I was pretty disappointed and just wanted more...

I didn't particularly understand why fake dating was ever brought up. They were already interested in each other so why was there the need for all the discussion around fake dating when they could have just dated for real? Baffled me and took up a lot of what is already a really short book.

I did like Theo and Adrian together and the build up to them getting together, but I didn't connect to either character emotionally because they felt like side characters in their own story. There were too many other characters getting page time for me. There's Adrian's coach and teammates, Adrian's brother, Theo's ex and his mum, Coach's son, Theo's co-worker, the professor, the coffee shop worker... There aren't even 200 pages in the book so it just felt too diluted. If this had been longer and actually had more content for the couple, then I would have loved it.

The whole ex drama also confused me. He was mentioned SO many times but then nothing came of it. Why was he talked about / thought about so much?? I would have preferred to get to know the actual MCs because by the end of the book, I really don't know much about them except one's a Daddy, one wants a Daddy, and they both study business and play/played hockey. That's it! There's a really hurried conclusion where they decide what their future together will be and a really rushed love declaration...it just felt off?

Oh Daddy! This book had me in its grip from page one. There is something so special about Adrian, the way he cares for his younger brother, the way he tries to be both the parents that they lost while still giving Felix independence. Oh be still my heart!

Adrian is about to graduate college and hopefully sign a contract with the Olivia Cove Wyverns. Even though he’s a good guy, the media paints him a player. Plus, he’s tired, stressed, and he just wants someone to take care of him for a change.

Man oh man! You know what I love about Daddy books? I love that the mc (Adrian) is such a good guy, overwhelmed, but still trying to take care of others. Then in walks a Daddy (Theo), who wants to take care of him. I mean who doesn’t want to be taken care of sometimes?

Theo is a strong mc on his own as well. He is a former NHL player, for the Wyverns. He got hurt and stopped playing, but that allowed him to find another passion finances! He getting his degree so he can help other players manage their finances wisely in case they are ever hurt.

Now, how wonderful is that?! Theo took a tragedy for him and turned it into something beautiful for himself and others. He sees areas where Aid needs help and he wants to help him. He wants to be Daddy to this boy.

I love stories like this and I really love Kota Quinn’s writing. She is steamy and sweet. When I read her books, I don’t just fall in love with her main characters, I fall in love with all the characters. I mean Felix is Adrian’s little brother. Yet their relationship stands out to me just as much as Adrian’s relationship to Theo. Also, speaking of standing out, the Olivia Cove references!! Whenever a story references or builds onto an already built world, it feels like a continuation of old stories and old characters. This brings such a familiar feeling to the world the story inhabits that I find comfort in them. It also makes me want to reread some of those other stories again just for fun. For now, I will excitedly look forward to Felix’s story coming soon.

So dang sweet

A cute quick read of a former NHL player finding his boy in an up and coming NHL player. Adrian wants nothing but an NHL contract and a daddy of his own, yet it doesn't seem both will work until he meets Theo, a man he idolized when he was playing in the NHL. Theo moves back to his hometown to return to college and get his degree to move on from the loss of his career and the loss of a boy who didn't stay when he needed him the most. These two have a sweet relationship that just has you smiling from start to finish. Mix in Adrian's relationship with his little brother Felix (who will be getting a story yay) and you have a perfectly sweet summer read.

I love trading multi authors serie because sometimes you find gem and this one is one, a true gem 💎!

The slow burn was perfect ! 👌🏻
The relationship between the two and the daddy kink situation was just perfect.
I need at least 10/20% more of those two together !

I’ll be definitely checking this author work and I’ll read the next coming up book regarding the brother looking for his forever daddy.

This was such a fun, sweet and steamy novella. It had a great amount of plot and feelings. I just loved Theo and Adrian so much! They were cute, sweet and swoony and I was rooting for them to communicate and realise that they are on the same page with what they want from a partner. I loved the caretaking aspect, and how much of a cartekater Theo was. I would have honestly been happy to read another 150 pages of Theo and Adrian's story. It was great to see both of them finally get what they needed from a relationship and partner.

This was a great novella, perfect to read if you want a sweet and swoony pick me up.

This made me crash out

Look, I understand that there are hockey romances and romances with hockey players. The problem is this book fails of both.

Let's start with the first sin, The hockey aspect. I'm not asking you to be a fan of the sport, I'm not even asking you to watch a game. But I am expecting that if you're going to write a book with two hockey players, you Google some basic things about the sport. Because I don't know about y'all, but I'm a pretty big hockey fan and I have truly never heard of a double hat trick. Was the goalie present? Was the other team on the ice? It's a low scoring game so a single player scoring six points in one game, it's not happening.

The gameplay was also poorly described. The golden rule of a sports romance is two to three solid scenes of the sport being played, not counting practice. Both of these characters (don't ask me to Google their names I do not care) are hockey players, so the sport should play a bigger role but it doesn't. We hear about them at practice and talking about really shallow things about this board but that's about it. Is this sport is supposed to be a big part of these characters' lives and their story then it should feel like it.

Sin number two, the fake dating. Now full disclosure, I am fake dating's number one hater. I think it's pointless and it never makes any sense. This book validates my hatred. Because why, I ask again, why are the characters together in private but they're going to fake date in public. Oh, and did I mention that this doesn't come up until about 65% in to the book! Make it make sense Mama because I am truly lost.

Sin number three is personal but it's my review and I can do what I want so I'm counting it. The daddy kink. I love Daddy kink like every other girl with issues but this... This wasn't hot. It was honestly kind of cringe. And I have no issues with littles, I love littles. Something about this didn't work though. I don't know. This might be for a specific person and that person is clearly not me.

Now is this the worst book I have ever read, God no. The writing isn't bad and if you are a fan of that cutesy little baby talk then you might actually really enjoy this. But my issue is that the things that are wrong are pretty massive. If you're going to write a fake dating book then write a fake dating book. Don't have the fake dating come up towards the end because by that point it doesn't matter, especially when our characters are together. If you're going to write a hockey romance then Google some things. Give us some real gameplay, make this sport feel like it truly matters to the characters. I have nothing against this author and I truly hope they are living their best life but this wasn't for me. Two stars because I may or may not have crashed out once or twice reading this.

At Brynn U they take their hockey very seriously. The university is in a small town in California so they also take their hockey stars very seriously, treating them like mini-celebrities. These is especially the case for Adrian DeLuca, a brother, a student and a star hockey-player. Oh and the only one who has been drafted to an NHL team. That was two yeatrs ago and though he doesn't yet have a contract it is almost guaranteed. After all the team who want him agreed to postpone his start so that he could graduate with his younger brother.

Adrian and Felix lost their father when Adrian was just 13, when he turned 18 they lost their mother and since then they have only ever had one another. They have always been close, best-friends, so it makes sense to Adrian that they will graduate together. Hopefully they will both move to Olivia Cove, where the team Adrian has been drafted to have their home.

The story opens with a 13-year-old Adrian being teased by Felix. Adrian's crush, hockey player Theo Walsh, is on TV. It is thanks to this crush that Adrian realised he was gay and he has never wanted to hide the facet. Theo on the other hand, despite no longer playing, owing to a career ending injury, has never found the courage to come out. What we soon discover is that the pair now live in the same town, attend the same University, even have some of the same classes and that their relationship goals complement one another perfectly. A small age gap, only ten years, won't stop anything developing, it is a push from coach which really urges them to take action, that and Adrian's frat house having far too many late night parties.

Felix plays a great role in this story too though the spotlight is very much on Adrian and Theo, Felix's story is to come next. With hockey, coming out and plenty of swoons this book kept me smiling and made me late for falling asleep but I will not be complaining. Kota Quinn has developed a University with a brilliant hockey team, a group of players and their associated friends and family who are not all accepting but are all at least tolerant and backgrounds that are plausible, believable. Above all he has created a truly beautiful romance that will most certainly have your heart beating faster!

This was just Daddy sweetness w a little spice. A great hug of a story. This is only 196 pages, so the story moves quickly.

Theo is a retired NHL star who had to quit at a young age due to an injury. While he was a pro, he made a huge impression on a 13 yr old Adrian. Theo was his hockey inspiration and his first gay crush.

Fast forward 8 yrs later and Adrian is a senior in college and a hockey phenom. He has the sweetest “meet-cute” when he sees Theo is the bartender at a local spot.

Their relationship grows from there and it’s so so sweet.

- No third act breakup
- Communication - there’s no silly miscommunication; they talk openly about themselves and what they want.
- Daddy/boy - Theo enjoys being a Daddy and taking care of someone and a terrible breakup w his ex hit his confidence. Adrian’s parents have passed away and he’s been taking care of his slightly younger brother and loves the Daddy/boy dynamic because it allows him to be the one receiving care. He’s a big strong guy so him in that dynamic is very sweet.
- Brother, Felix. His brother is also into the life style, but is physically slighter. He and Adrian are very close.
- No OM - there’s one moment when someone kisses Adrian at the bar, before they’re together, but Adrian makes it clear to Theo (even then!) that he didn’t want it and that they’re not together.
- Spice - just enough. 😉
- Proximity- Adrian lives in the hockey house and the partying is out of control. Theo suggests that he stay w him at his place.
- Nicknames - Sweet boy
- Dual POV; HFN / both are going to be working/playing for the same team. Theo is now a financial analyst and Adrian will be playing hockey professionally. They’re both excited to find a house together.

❤️ I really loved all the care and small moments between these two (the little stuffed Icy, Theo showing up at his practices, the mutual respect). A lot is packed into a short book. There’s no necessary drama; both are mature and thoughtful.

I loved this book. It was such a fun, sweet romance. I loved both Adrian and Theo. Their chemistry was scorching. I liked that Adrian had idolized Theo for years since he'd been a teenager. I liked even more that Theo had been following Adrian's career. I liked the balance of that dynamic. I also like the Daddy/boy. There were some cute and funny moments between them, too. Their first meeting at the bar made me laugh...

'He leans forward, slowly reaches out, and pokes me in the cheek. It doesn’t hurt. It’s more playful than anything, but what truly has me captivated is the way his face changes from fascination to pure giddy joy a moment after his finger touches my skin.
A wide smile breaks across his face, and he laughs. Honest to god, laughs. Unable to fight this weird pull between us, my lips twitch, forming a wide smile that mirrors his. What the duck is happening?
“Oh my god. You’re real?” He laughs again, the rumbling noise a little deeper this time.'

But things soon heated up and Adrian isn't letting this chance pass him by. I loved Adrian's chapters the most because I loved being in his mind when he fanboyed or got excited. Too cute. I could definitely relate to him.

Another wonderful read from Kota Quinn. Can't wait for more! 5 stars.

🏒 Review 🏒

Talk about a sweet “slow burn” book with a Daddy x Boy that gave me a sweet tooth. This book was short and gave me the feelings I needed at the time I read it. Even with being a slow burn I enjoyed it.

Daddy x Boy Hockey romance was a new for me and let me tell you Kota didn’t disappoint. Like I mentioned earlier expect all the sweetness.

Theo & Aiden were destined to be together. Theo was the sweetest Daddy that just wanted to take care of his Boy. Aiden was a boy who didn’t realize it till he started feeling things // doing things around Theo. He found himself in a different way.

Want all the sweetness then go grab this gem.

Please ✔️ TRIGGER WARNINGS before jumping in. If you have none then just jump in 😉.

How often do you find your childhood hero and crush irl and it does not disappoint? Adrian can't believe Theo is right there in this age gap romance. First it seems to stear to fake relationship, but it never read like that he. They click really well and over a few weeks period they do find their is really something there. Theo is the caring petson who knows what it is like to be an university and NHL player. Now Theo had to change his plan for life and in that process he finds the man who needs him in more ways than one. They are a match that fits really well and explore what they need to thrive and be grounded
They both had losses in very differwnt ways, and do their best to find self acceptance and success.
As a side character I did like the glimpses of Felix, Adrian his younger and extremely smart brother and only relative left, and I am wondering what his story will be and with whom.
This story is well paced for me. It however felt it took place over a longer period than it actually did.

This is a sweet, no drama romance with D/l aspects. Adrian is a college hockey player (l) who has been lusting over Theo since he was 13. Now he's almost done with college and looking to go to the NHL. He meets Theo in a bar and sparks fly. Theo is a retired hockey player, now college student (D) who's looking to help other athletes with the realities of life after sports. When he meets a sexy man at the bar he tends in, he's smitten.

This is a really good, really sweet romance. Adrian and Theo have good chemistry together. The story was good and I like that it showed Adrian young and finding himself. I liked Kayla and absolutely loved Felix. There were so many lol moments too, such as: Theo describing the bathroom incident, Adrian's actions on the patio, funishment, when Adrian and Felix meet to talk. I would've liked more story as it was short. Also more closure on Grant and an explanation for Rizzo's odd treatment of Adrian. Hoping Guy gets a book and looking forward to Felix's book. Definitely worth reading. It's a short, fast read and took me out of my funk.

This book was so sweet! It’s a short read with a fast pace but it still gives enough space for Adrian and Theo’s relationship to grow naturally.

Adrian is a boy and Theo is a Daddy. From the start, the attraction between them just clicks. Adrian’s had a crush on Theo for years, he was his hockey idol, his role model…and also his sexual awakening.

I love Daddy kink books but what I love even more is when the author clearly understands the lifestyle. It’s not just about sex, it’s emotional, supportive and complex. The Daddy/boy dynamic is beautifully written here and we even get glimpses of little behavior through Adrian’s brother, Felix (I’m so excited for Felix’s book!!)

Theo and Adrian are adorable together. The ending felt a little rushed, but with a relationship like theirs, it makes sense that the feelings would come in fast and strong.

It was such a comforting and heartwarming read, I really enjoyed it!

I love Kota Quinn, I love the stories and the happy endings and the everything in between! And this story as another adorable one. Felix and Adrian’s relationships is so beautifully healthy and heartwarming. And the fact that there are so many little connections between Adrian and Theo from the beginning makes this story even better. I was super glad when an ARC opportunity came up, and I leave my voluntary review. This story is adorable. The hockey part is interesting without weighing it down for those who aren’t big fans. I felt sorry for Guy though, but he has a great dad, so he’ll figure things out. And the wall of pictures. Seriously, there are so many little details connecting the MCs throughout the story that it makes you think there were truly meant to be, and they deserve their HEA. I am looking forward to reading Felix’s story!

This book is part of the multi-author Daddies of the League series. Each book is a standalone read. This is the story of Adrian DeLuca and Theo Walsh. Adrian is a young hockey star that is looking forward to playing in the NHL. As a boy, he is looking forward to finding his perfect daddy even more. Theo is an ex-NHL hockey star who is working on his business degree at Brynn U. His hockey injury cut his career short. The two meet at school as they share a few classes. As they get to know each other, they realize that they have more in common. This is their story. The book is written well and is easy to read. This is a sweet and sexy story of two hockey players who fall in love. I have to say that I also adored Felix, Adrian's younger brother. I am looking forward to his book next.

This is a super sweet and might I say inspirational story. I absolutely love the relationship between Adrian and Felix. But not nearly as much as I love the relationship between Adrian and theo. Adrian had a crush on Theo since he was a kid Tia was in the NHL and Adrian wanted to follow in his footsteps. Theo ended up with a career ending injury and decided to go back to college to become a financial advisor. He believes he's unrecognizable when Adrian approaches him. What follows is a very sweet and inspirational love story. This wasn't an overly abundant smutty book and as much as I love smut I appreciate that about this book. But their first intimate scene together was so hot that I had to Splash cold water on my face.

4.5/5. This was precious! And it immediately had me hooked! I love Adrian. He is strong, confident, and caring (especially toward his brother), but he also just wants to be cared for. I love Theo, too. He oozes confidence and care. I'm obsessed with the fact that these two were both such big fans (and secret celebrity crushes) of each other. And they fit together perfectly with Adrian looking for a daddy and Theo looking for a boy. I loved seeing them meet, pine for each other, and then fall in love. Felix was a great side character, too. I'm excited for his book. Overall, this was the perfect sweet and swoony book I needed to get out of my minor book slump.

Notes: 2/5 spice levels, daddy/boy, hockey, college, age gap, fan/player, childhood crush, caretaking, raising a sibling,

This was okayyyy BUT the book was in serious need of an editor/proofreader. The author consistently mixed up the two main characters in the narrative. Mentioning "Adrian Walsh" (their names are Theo Walsh and Adrian DeLuca), referring to "Theo and me" in Theo's POV, and doing the same in Adrian's chapters. As someone who listens to books via screen reader, this was incredibly frustrating and confusing to me. Knowing which of your characters is which and keeping track of whose chapter you're in feels like a pretty baseline expectation when going into a book. Without that issue, this would have probably been a 3.75 to me, but down to a 3 with the editing.

Dnfed at 76% !!
Can't finish !! It's so boring !!
Why fake dating when they are already very attracted to one another ?
It's the kind of story when the MCs are going too fast in their developing feelings. The daddy is already in love and there hasn't been any sex yet !! Come on !!!
And there are some inconsistencies. It's mentioned at the beginning that Theo's mother wants Theo getting back with his ex. She even texts him telling him that Grant(the ex) and Theo were good together. Then, later, Theo thinks of coming out publicly but has to tell his mother first !!!
Finally, the daddy kink is not for me ! Sorry

ARK rewiew

This was a good one. I think it was my first book by Kota Quinn so I didn't quite know what to expect, but this was just amazing!
Adrian and Theo what a pair. Both experiencing things in life that let them keep their feet on the ground. I loved how the author had them connected by the past, and not just the obvious reason. It was fun, sweet and clever. Who dosn't love surprised like that. The only thing I have to remark is that I wished It was longer.
I will definitely be looking for more books from Kota because I had a blast reading this one.

Kota Quinn’s books always put a smile on my face. They’re so sweet, and cozy, and make me so happy.

You’ve got Theo, an ex-NHL star working on a business degree at Brynn U, and Adrian, an up-and-coming hockey star who’s in his senior year at Brynn U. It’s adorable (the whole celebrity crush thing), and Icy, and Felix, Adrian’s little brother. I’m happy he’s getting a story soon, too!!

Adrian is a doll! He's such a good person, it's unreal. I love him! Theo is protective and caring and so dependable. I feel like he anchors Adrian. It's beautiful. I always get stuck in my feels when I read Kota Quinn.
