She never imagined it would make her a target.Eighteen-year-old track star Katherine Corrigan was destined for Olympic gold—until she vanished without a trace. Now, she’s on the run, hunted by a powerful, shadowy organization with connections that stretch across the globe. Alone, starving, and terrified, she must rely on the very instincts that once made her a champion to stay alive.
Detective James William has spent years chasing ghosts in the Missing Persons Unit, but this case is different. The deeper he digs into Katherine’s disappearance, the more he uncovers a sinister network operating in the shadows—one with ties to his own haunted past.
As time runs out, Katherine and James find themselves entangled in a deadly game of cat and mouse. The truth is buried deep, and the price of uncovering it might just be their lives.
I might be a bit biased due to knowing the author, but this was honestly a very enjoyable read. Loved the Australian setting and found the story to be quite captivating, keeping me hooked all the way through to the end.
