This is a prequel paranormal romance novella from the Kings of Hell Series. It’s told in dual pov following the MCs, Tabitha and Donovan. This story provides more insight regarding their tumultuous relationship. As a novella, it’s a short quick read but is packed with the same degree of emotional intensity and angst as the full length novels. If you haven’t tried this series, I highly recommend if you are seeking your next paranormal romance addiction.

This was a great prequel!! I enjoyed the storyline, and the characters. I’m excited to see what happens next.

If you have not heard of the Kings of He'll series you are in for an incredible treat because this dark paranormal urban romantasy series is one of the most addictive series I have ever read.
I have been following this series since Book Two and have fallen in love with each King of He'll as his book was written. These are all the best morally grey, touch her and I willl una1ive you, but I am putty in my woman's magical hands men who are the most amazing tattoed, black leather wearing, hard fighting and utterly loyal moral men that will absolutely steal your heart. And their Witchy Women are equally strong, powerful, an oh so generoud while each leading their man on a very merry chase.
But there is always one King that keeps himself just out of the frame, the broody and somber Nova that just keep drawing me back to him like a magnet because i have to know more of his story. We have been promised a story that would not only add to the mystery that drives this series, but one that will answer the questions and theories long time readers have been craving... and in Before The First the author delivered that and more...here we got the background story to end all background stories and one that created more questions and theories and hope for Nova to find finally find his Queen... as with all the kings this will not be easy, but it will make for a read that will leave you writing the author with one question..When is the next book? and then have you state...why are you answering me and not writing!
This was an all encompassing read that is a perfect link the story chain that only Alexis Maree can write. I literally read this book in one sitting...and yes I called out sick to work that day...cough cough 😂
