Better than what was filmed but not as good as the novelization, Pickett's script is not significantly different in plot, character, or dialogue. The only other version I've read is Gibson's, but I am surprised Pickett was not given a credit or that he considers his draft so different and so superior to what was filmed. There's some good writing here, as well as some sloppy writing, and some groan-worthy exposition. This does not live up to the hype Pickett gives it, but I do love certain things about the themes and story much of which can be credited to accident and previous creatives who worked on the project.
