This interaction with Suny and Kross is mad embarrassing. She’s coming off as so pathetic to me. I hate it.

Mel is a trip. I can’t believe the way she stepped to priest.

I’m annoyed Kross told Robin about Kaia before his brother or the rest of his people since he made it seem like she’s insignificant in his life

That introduction and interaction was so cute

I’m confused I thought Suny had blonde hair, so why they both assumed Kaia got her blonde hair from Kross’s family??

I’m surprised they go all the way to Nashville to meet his family instead of connecting with hers right there in Atlanta. Was kind of going for Papa to get in that ass

Hmm I kind of feel Kross was disrespectful to Papa when Suny respectfully answered his mom when she gave her the 3rd degree

The spacing was a little off at times. Some spots when it was a totally different scene it was written as part of a paragraph from a different setting in the book making it a little confusing.

I like the convo with Reid and Suny. However the one with Kross and Robin, she was coming off as desperate. She still went to get food after all this man said. Tuh.

I love how much Kaia loves her daddy

Just when I started to respect Suny again, she’s acting pathetic and yelling like she just didn’t tell folks off any acting up in vein of her daughter. Then she did the ultimate loser move by having a man question paternity bc he trusted her not to have a DNA test.

So I really enjoyed this story even though people pissed me off from time to time. I’m looking forward to delving into book two

I don't know if I'm not in a reading headspace because it takes ages to finish a book. Okay, I'll start off by saying the one thing I like about Unique's books is that she injects a sense of realism. The characters are allowed to be flawed and contradictory. It makes for an interesting read because to some extent it's unpredictable. Although it's a short story it's jam packed with drama and action. That cliffhanger wasn't really a cliffhanger because Suny hasn't slept with anyone since Kross 😝 so Kaia has to be his she was just trying to get under his skin. I dont know why he didn't tell her he was moving to California it wasn't really a big deal. Suny was just being overdramatic. But let's see what part 2 is saying lol 🤸🏾‍♀️🤸🏾‍♀️

Im telling you from start to end this book was so good. The amount of times that they went back and forth. Honestly feel like Kross is trash. I hope he redeems himself. But Suny deserves better
