He is considered a true representative of poets of his generation having certain creative traits in an age when his nation and countries in the neighbourhood witnessed dramatic transitions particularly in the arena of politics. He won Bangla Academy Literary Award (2013).

মোট ৬৮ টা "কথামালা", যার বেশিরভাগের দৈর্ঘ্য ১ বা ৩ লাইন, তা দিয়ে ১৪৪ পাতার বই! অনায়াসে ২০ পাতায় সব লেখা এঁটে যাবে। পাঠকের সাথে প্রতারণারও একটা সীমা থাকা উচিত।

কিছু বইকে ০ স্টার দেয়া যায়না বলে আফসোস লাগে। পাতার পর পাতা অপচয় করে কিছু রোজকার লাইন লেখা হয়েছে। অতি সাধারণ লাইন, যার কোনো বিশেষ অর্থ নেই।
হেলাল হাফিজের নাম ভাঙিয়ে এগুলো বই আকারে প্রকাশের কোনো প্রয়োজন ছিলোনা, একবিন্দুও না।
