“So you wanna be part of the Six, huh? You wish…”
~Jared, Ace, Mark, Josh, Aiden & Eli

Riley Clifton can’t remember a time when she wasn’t a part of the Six, a group of rowdy boys who would do just about anything for her. Growing up alongside of six guys is never easy. Especially in high school. Falling in love with one of the Six? Even harder when Ace has a hold of her heart, and he doesn’t even know it.
Jake (Ace) Aceton has loved Riley for a long time, but has kept the secret oath of the Six. Riley was off limits. At least until after graduation. When he overhears Riley admitting to her best friend, Paige how she feels about him, Ace doesn't let his chance slip by. Riley, in his mind, has always been his.
When her college plan falls through, and her future is left to the hands of fate, Riley finds herself scrambling to keep up with all the changes. But that's not the hardest part. The hardest part is saying good-bye, especially to Ace.

Heartache, hard lessons, and a love deeper than her Alabama roots will threaten to crumble Riley’s world as she waits for Ace’s return.

Will Riley and Ace’s love be strong enough to hold them together when life tries to tear them apart?

Grrr. This book made me so freaking angry!

Reading this book I felt like I was dropped in on a story that was already in progress. This felt like book 2 not the first book in a series. With little to no back story and no real description of a past or what had led up to any thing, I found myself in a constant state of "Did I miss something?"
Not only that but I felt like a lot of everything was just so unrealistic. I mean really, no spoilers but half the time I just want to scream "Who does that? And who says that's?" And if it's summer how is Mark already started college classes?! I was just a little confused.

Ok now the ending was a big punch to the face. Can we talk about how it was the worst ending ever? You agree? Ok great. Ugh

The Summer I Fell by Sonya Loveday was a good book. I love most of Sonya Loveday's books. They all have these super interesting characters that make you want to keep reading. When I was reading this book I couldn't put it down. It was fun and entertaining. I liked how they had some adventure but not a lot. I also liked how Ace and Riley had to make sacrifices in the book.

All of the characters in this book had different personalities and that made this book 100 times better.

This book was a quick read for me. I read it in 2 days. I think that this book is good for people who like books with romance, sacrifice, and adventure.

Sonya Loveday's other two books were great also. I feel like the books got more adventurous and more mysterious. The Summer I Fell was a romance novel. Then The End Note had some adventure but it was mostly about love. Then finally in the book If Ever I Fall. It was more adventurous. It had romance but I feel like it was a smaller part in this book than the other two.

I wish Sonya Loveday is going to make more books in The Six Series I love them. I hope you guys do to.

Bebe

Loved this book! Was heartbroken when it was left to be continued. I want more!! Not many books make me cry, I can typically stop myself from unleashing them. I wasn't able to do so with this one. My heart broke for Riley time after time. I hope things will start to turn around for her in the next book. Can't wait for book two!

2.5 stars...To me it seemed like a lot of filler in the book. It was hard to finish the book and it ends with a cliffhanger..so I may continue the series when they come out.

What is it with authors ending a story half way through on a major cliffhanger? It honestly puts me off reading any more of that authors stories because chances are the same thing will happen again. If you don't mind when a story is incomplete and ends in the middle then you should read this book........ok rant over.

The story line was ok, I found that it dragged on in places. The story is about a girl named Riley. Who is really close friends with 6 boys. It starts off on their graduation night. Where they plan to spend the next week together before their lives go in different direction. (This is where I felt the story dragged on) I get that we needed to get to know all of the characters and their different personalities. But I found myself getting bored with the story. This week they spend together takes up over half of the book and then the boys leave going their separate ways which then leaves Riley on her own.

Riley moves forward with her life helping out at the Vet clinic until something major happens in her life. This part of her life I felt was basically brushed aside. The author spend over half the book on her at a cabin and only a few chapters on a major life changing event? Something that will stick with her for the rest of her life, something that is life altering and her 6 male friends don't even come back to support her? I was really disappointed with how quickly she moved on from that, it was as if it was just added in at the last minute but no time or thought was put into it.

Riley being a strong willed person is able to move forward with her life until..........Something else major happens. Not believing the news of this major event she calls one of the six guys. (The story line is now turned from a drama/romance story to a mystery?) Where he then tells her he is dropping everything and on his way to her. (Which I thought he, well all of the guys would have done with the first major event but anyway) which is where the story ends with the usual line of to be continued that I hate so much.

I don't write many reviews but since I had read this books reviews before reading it and had no idea of it ending on a cliffhanger I thought it needed to be addressed.

I doubt I will bother with this author again.

OMG. Sonya has done it again!!!
The Summer I Fell is her new book in a brand new series, and I absolutely LOVED every page!!!
This book literally ripped me apart. The love story of Jake (Ace) and Riley is absolutely amazing. So sweet, innocent, and first love.
Going through the Six’s last week together before everyone leaves was emotionally rough. You could feel their sadness about leaving each other, about going separate ways, but also the excitement about doing it. Leaving childhood friends behind isn’t easy, but leaving your true love behind? Impossible.
Riley is left behind in the small town after her college plans fall through, and she is left to pick up the pieces of her heart and soul. Seeing her struggle with everything was rough reading.
There are SO many good things about The Summer I Feel: the relationship not only between Ace & Riley, but the dynamics in the group was wonderfully written and I found myself speeding through the book to feed my growing addiction. They all know each other so well, have found their places between them, they rest among each other, rely and depend on their friends and nothing can tear them apart.
Sonya has created another masterpiece, and for the second time this year, I’m having a book hangover because of her, and I would do it all again. The Summer I Fell made me laugh, shake my head, smile at the antics from the guys, snort loudly and it also made me cry. Boy did it tear me apart. All I can hope right now is that Sonya hurries up and finishes the sequel, because DAMN! Leaving it like that was cruel to me!!

I didn't get this story. Everything happened very fast and still excrutiatingly slow. The set up was really good, but it did not live up to my expectations. I would have wanted more character depth and more storyline. The romance was sweet, but felt extremely rushed and then nothing.....

Boo! There were some good parts, but this was like three random books unsuccessfully squeezed together into one, like the author chose story ideas out of a hat at random. Plus, there was no ending. The story just stopped. Not a fan.

‘We love you Riley. We always have…we always will.’

I just need to say that as I write this review, I am sobbing my heart out and my vision is definitely blurry. OH MY JESUS CHRIST. My heart is actually hurting and being torn apart by The Summer I Fell. I don’t know how to accumulate all my thoughts because my mind is spinning circles over the ending. I need book two asap, I need to know what the hell is going to happening and if my heart will survive it all.

This is my first book by Sonja and she has me in a tizzy. I always say if an author can make me cry, then their book is a damn bloody great one, and The Summer I Fell definitely is a book you all need to read – right now. Sonja has a flare in which you will go from page to page, relishing in the scenes you are reading, loving the relationship between the guys and Riley, the relationship between Riley and Ace and the whole group dynamic. They just all gel, they wind each other up, they show-off but you know that The Seven of them love each other unconditionally. No one else matters to them, no one will get in between them. You know each of their personalities, know who is who – their voices are distinguished. You will laugh at the craziness of the group, their banter, their comebacks and biting, you will swoon over Riley and Ace, you will feel the heat sizzle between them and then comes to barrage of emotional scenes. The scenes which will tear at your heartstrings, both good and utterly devastating ways. Ways in which you can see above – in which I am an utter mess.

The Summer I Fell is about Riley and her boys – The Six. She has been with them for as long as she can remember and she will do just about anything for them, and vice versa. She doesnt have it easy in school, especially as her best friends are six boys. It’s also hard when she’s in love with one of them – Jake ‘Ace’ Aceton. She just cant tell him.

Ace has been in love with Riley for as long as he can remember, but due to an oath The Six made, Riley was off limits until Graduation. When he overhears her telling her best friend she loves him. It’s fair game now, and he wants Riley for himself. He’s pined and waited long enough.

But with Riley’s college plans falling through, and The Six going their separate ways, Riley is trying o hold it all together, hating the change happening but she cant stop it. Saying goodbye is hard, but saying it to Ace is even harder. But when life comes crashing along, crumbling Riley’s world, all she wants is Ace back.

But what happens if that isn’t possible?

Riley is the glue to The Six. The guys will do anything for her; protect her, tease her, love her, make her feel part of the group and you can really see how much they dote on her and how much she adores them all too – apart from one of them. Jake ‘Ace’ Aceton. She is actually head over heels in love with him. I loved her character. She’s feisty, she’s hotheaded yet there is a vulnerability to her. That comes with a parent who works away a lot, how she feels the guys just put up with her and due to her college dream falling through. But once her gets over her inner battle, she is carefree, she’s caring and just wants to see her friends reach their dreams and leave their small town, even if it kills her that she is left behind.

I understood her pain when the guys left, especially Ace. We all have that constant pain in our heart and chest when the one we love goes away, and although I understood why she cracked, I loved that she put herself back together and got on with it. Got on with filling up her day, trying to keep herself and her mind busy until she could wind down and think about Ace. I connected with Riley, I understand how hard long distance is and not knowing when you are going to speak again but she is strong and she had her best friend, Paige and Ace’s mum around, as well as her job and being a surrogate sister, in a way, to Seth. Who was the cutest little guy.
And then everything came tumbling down within weeks. No joke, I sobbed for the last parts of the book. My chest hurting, my eyes blurry and I wanted to reach through my kindle and hug Riley and sooth her, let her know I was there for her. She has a tough ride – she needs the Six with her and you understand her denying, her pain, her tears; everything that leads her to breaking down. Her life has now been altered and its a lot to take in. Man I cried. And I need book two to know just what the hell is going to happen!!!

Jake / Ace is the strong and silent type. You can see why he choose the career he did. He has a bit of a temper, but the guys and Riley know when to reel him in and calm him down. I truly loved his character because from the get-go you could see how much Riley meant to him, how he would do anything to see her happy, take he pain away and to just be with her; chilling with her, comforting her, loving her.

Riley had an affect on him. He was in a trance when she was around, she was is everything and had been for years, but due to an oath the Six made, she was off limits. I loved that he felt the same way as she did for him. How he didn’t want a life without her in it, damn he didn’t want a future without her in it and you knew, just knew, that wherever he went, he would take her with him.

His love for her was unbelievable. You could see the adoration shine from him, could see that he wanted to spend every single moment with her and never let her go. But then he had to leave and you could see how much he didnt want to, but he had to, it was his dream. I loved the little scenes between he and Riley. The teasing, the love, the declarations he made before I left her. Even I wished I was Riley to have Ace. He was the perfect mix of loving, dominant and everything inbetween. A guy who you would be lucky to have, but he would say he was lucky to have Riley. They were lucky to have one another.

There are some sizzling scenes between the two of them as well. Sonja has written their transaction from friends to lovers perfectly. She has gotten their chemistry down to a T. Every little feeling, look and emotion they both convey for each other, when they were friends and to lovers could be felt and you could see the love they had for one another, the bond they had, both in and out of the bedroom. Yeah, these two have been pining over each other for years and now they have each other, there isn’t anything that can tear them apart…

I’m going to reiterate that ending. THAT ENDING THAT KILLED ME. My heart is in pain and I need book two now. Sonja, please don’t make me wait long to find out what happens. I don’t think I could take it!

Meg's Review:
AHH! This Novel! I Beta read this, and then ARC read it after it went through its final edits. Sonya is a genius. This novel is a MUST READ. I couldn't put it down when she first sent it to me. It was New and Interesting. A novel with a concept I hadn't read before. Okay, I should probably tell you about the novel itself and such I suppose.

TSIF

#GetSixed

I sure did and it was wonderful. I started this book and got pulled right in. The Six. These characters claw their way not your heart from the first chapter. Jared, Ace, Mark, Josh, Aiden & Eli are a force to be reckoned with. They are a group of best friends that define that title by no other. Riley. Riley is the center force for The Six. She is the glue that hold it together. She is their best friend. The girl that is just like one of the guys.

The novel takes place right after their graduation. It follows the struggles everyone faces after they graduate high school: The Future. The Six have secrets, and after graduation  it is time for those secrets to be unearthed. Those secrets bring forth shocking revelations and the aftermath is a fun ride.

While everyone has futures to pursue, no ones in more uncertain than Riley's. She is the girl who wanted out the most, but wont be able to leave.  She is left in her small town in Alabama while the other pursue their dreams.

I don't want to saw much more, other then this book has some big twists you don't see coming. Sonya weaves her magic yet again with Riley and The Six.

TSIF2

The novel is very easy to connect with, and the characters make it effortless to fall in love with them. This is hands down the best NA I have ear yet this year. Sonya works magic and weave this compelling story that you don't want to escape. The plot in this story is unique in its own and you wont be able to put it down. It unpredictability and emotion evoking scenes will leave you thinking about it for days after you read it. Grab some wine and a comfy blanket, because this novel is an all nighter. I need more!

3.5/5

The Summer I Fell is the first book in a contemporary New Adult series called, The Six. I felt like it should have been called the Seven, since all of the guys admitted that Riley was one of them and always has been. The Six are a group of six guys, Jared, Ace, Mark, Josh, Aiden & Eli , that are always together. They grew up together and they are a great group of friends.  I really liked watching them interact, and I loved the way that they were with Riley. The Summer I fell is both a beautiful story and a heartbreaking story. The first half felt so carefree and fun, and I was smiling the whole time. You get to watch Riley discover her first love and hang out with a great group of friends. It is really great.

And then life starts to get in the way. They have all graduated high school and some are going in different directions. The second half of the book had a distinctly different feel than the first half. The second half of The Summer I fell took me by surprise. Without getting into spoilers, there are some pretty crazy events that happen that got my waterworks going. And I really wasn't expecting that. I thought we would continue to cruise on the good times and the smiles from the first half. But I guess I couldn't expect that to happen even if the "bad thing" didn't because all the guys were no longer together. They weren't "the six". They were individual guys each off doing their own thing. It was very bittersweet. It is one of the few new adult books that I will call a coming of age story. It was watching each of the members of the seven come into their own. The Summer I Fell is marked as New Adult, but I feel it is more of a crossover book. Falling somewhere in the range of upper YA to younger NA. Great for readers of both genres.

The Summer I Fell is part smiles, part tears, super sweet and heartbreaking all at the same time. It is reminiscent of the bittersweet feeling of summer ending. I really enjoyed this read, and I kind of need to continue on with the story. The Summer I Fell took me down a different emotional road than I was expecting. I had no idea it would make me feel quite as deeply as it did. And yes, there is a cliffhanger. And yes it is a big one. That is most of the reason why I need to continue on in this series. The ending completely GUTTED me. I have to know what happens next.

“They had lots of codes they stuck by, but never talked about. And I had a feeling one of those codes had something to do with me."

The Summer I fell begins with Riley Clifton who introduces the readers to the Sexy Six-Jared, Ace, Eli, Mark, Josh and Aiden. The Six, as they are affectionately called, are a group of rowdy high school seniors who never really grew up. They stick by each other—always have—and they’ve forever kept Riley at the centre of them all, silently calling her the seventh Six.

But not all of them harbour brotherly feelings towards her, and especially not Jake Aceton.

While I felt like the book kind of started all of a sudden with little to no premise or background, I found myself immersed in the story completely. Riley is a likeable character, a bit too insecure, but that’s only because she feels like these larger-than-life boys couldn’t possibly love her as much as loved them. Same with Jake (Ace), who as it turns out was totally in love with her too!

The book actually begins with their graduation party and describes how all the Six are going to split and move away from Alabama, to pursue their careers. This leaves Riley melancholy, and the Six decide to celebrate the weekend at a cabin they own.

I throughly enjoyed the antics of the Six! Riley noted more than once that these boys had grown up only in age and that was so true. They were the kind of friends a girl would be lucky to have. However, they are boys and sometimes, boys keep secrets ;P

I found Riley to be a little too melodramatic for my tastes. She was in the constant habit of blowing things wildly out of proportion and that definitely irritated me, a lot. That being said, I saw some definite growing up from the book’s beginning to its end. She changed and grew up as a person. Some events in the book were so sad, I found myself sympathising with this dramatic female. The book ends on a cliffhanger (so be prepared for some epic hair-pulling) but if you’re looking for a cute, small summer read, then I’d faintly recommend this to you, inspite of the gigantic cliffy :)

4 Stars and recommendation for lovers of angst and readers of the young adult romance genre.

Meet “the six”. A group of young men, recent high school graduates, getting ready to embark upon the rest of their lives. The six are not without female company, but its really only two girls that have made their inner circle. And its on one of them them we have the central character in The Summer I Fell, Riley Ann Clifton. Set in rural Alabama, we meet Riley, her best friend Paige, and the gang on the day of their high school graduation. The story is given to us from Riley’s POV which immediately puts us on her side in most everything. But we given good reasons to like and support Riley as she is an endearing character.

Just after graduation, the six include Riley in the unearthing of a time capsule that holds memento’s that the six boys put away four years prior. On this night secrets are exposed that change the course of Riley’s life. We get our expected “ teenage guys” barbs and high jinks but overall, the language and attitudes are mature enough for a reader well beyond high school to endure. All the main “six” characters have redeeming factors and the bond between them is well depicted. We spend a good chunk of the book in events that happen over a couple week time span, and then everything changes. As the boys depart, Riley is left to consider her work as a veterinary assistant and to decide whether or or to pursue Veterinary school. But she is in a holding pattern really, waiting for her future. Riley then goes through one very life altering event and her life seems to spiral on a downhill projectory. You’ll need to equip yourself with tissues because life for Riley is at times heartbreaking.

The Summer I Fell l is an easy read in that the story line flows very well and the writing is incredibly descriptive. You’ll feel everything, including some moments you’ll want pain meds. But there are also some sweet, sweet moments as Riley lets go and lets herself go for the guy she wants. The sweet that is countered by heartbreak is HUGE and these life altering events are unfortunately piled on her. It’s been along time since I’ve felt bereft at the end of a book and now I’m giving fair warning that we are left with a cliffhanger that guarantees you’ll need to come back for the rest of the story...

I always wanted a group of friends like this one in high school so I immediately warmed to The Six. The book did seem to focus on a few of the six more than the others, but as book one of a series I guess we will get more of the rest of the group in further books. I really liked Rileys position in the group, she was a mixture of mum (keeping control of them all) and little sister (with a whole load of big brothers to protect her). There were a few times when I felt like the six were a bit too over protective, but it wasn't enough to change my liking for them.

"They had lots of codes they stuck by, but never talked about. And I had a feeling one of those codes had something to do with me."

I am a massive fan of friends to lovers type romances. I really liked the whole development of Jake and Riley's relationship, and the fact that they already have like a strong foundation from years of friendship just made their relationship all that more stronger. Although they had this foundation and so it wasn't insta-love, but it still did feel like they very quickly went from friends to very intense relationship and I don't know it felt a little bit too quick for me. However I still found it a believable and very sweet romance that I would definitely like to read more of.

"We love you Riley. We always have ... we always will."

This is the first book in the series, but it did feel a little bit like we were reading book two, that there should have been something more before this one. We spend the first half of the book reminiscing about all these amazing times the six had had in the past but I think I would have preferred to have actually had the book start earlier in their story. I really loved the scenes containing the whole group and just wanted more of them!!!

Riley was one of those girls that guys stirred clear of and the popular girls picked on. Why because she had the Six as her friends and protectors. It wasn’t all bad because she kept her focus on what she loved and had 6 guys who protected her and made her feel special. But one of those guys she was in love with. Ace (Jake) was his name and he acted like he cared but never showed interested. And now it was the end of their senior year and still she had no clue. But she would soon find out he had feelings for her and the rest of the guys did at one time or another, but the made rules that they kept till that fateful night when everything came out after a knock down drag out fight between her and Samantha (the sheriffs daughter). Will Riley know what to do after all the secrets come out? Will her and Ace date or will their friendship fall apart along with the rest of the group because of the Six’s rules? Can she deal with all the changes? Read it!
I really enjoyed this book and loved Paige and Riley’s friendship along with the Six. I loved the dynamic of the group and how each of them leaned on the group for support for so long that when they had to go their separate ways they had to relearn how to function without their group. Riley made me think of myself when I was stuck in the same rut on what to do with my life after high school and how to choose a path that would work for me. My favorite scene was when they guys gave her the necklace. Priceless and very creative! If I can find a necklace like that I will soooo wear it!
18+ do to sex. Romance with a country twang. Great read and a very high recommendation, but be prepared to be sucked in and want more! I sure can’t wait for the next book!

I want to absolutely love The Summer I Fell, but I am not sure how definite I feel about it. I loved the story line and plot, but there were some major gaps and everything happened really fast.

One of the biggest issue with The Summer I Fell was the gaps in the story line and the lack of a back ground information on 'The Six. The story begins right after the graduation ceremony, 'The Six' and Riley are at some big back woods bonfire partying it up with other high school graduates. There are no real introductions when it comes to all the characters. You are just told they are boys and have been friends sense forever. I have no idea how Riley was able to join their boy group, unless I somehow missed that portion of the story, I didn't read where that was explained.

It seemed like the author had a hard time juggling all the characters and their stories. This created a lot of gaps in the story that you just had to guess about what had happened. The biggest being what happened to the boys after they left their small town of, I believe Opp (?? I think I read that it was Opp, but it was only mentioned once in the beginning so I have no idea). We know two go to college, two join the military, one goes on a volunteer trip to Haiti, and one is suddenly a rock god. Some characters we hear about others just seem to fall off the face of the earth.

I should give The Summer I Fell two stars, but I was feeling kind this afternoon so I gave it three. I am anxious for book number two sense this one ended with a cliffhanger. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a new side of Jared and Riley's relationship now that Ace is gone away in the military. It's a love it or hate it kinda book. I am choosing to love it because I like the story line.

3 stars with an asterisk.

It’s a funny/emotional story that kept awake for most of the night. So, why the asterisk? Well, the blurb is really interesting and it’s the reason why I decided to read this book. I really enjoyed getting to know The Six (Aiden, Josh, Jared, Mark, Ace and Eli) + Riley + Paige. They seem like a great group and I kind of envied all of them.

The story starts with summer break. They’re all graduated now and each one has a different future ahead of them. It’s about how their group, that as once a unit, is now breaking apart. I really liked the idea the author had. However, I think that 8 characters were a bit too much to keep up with. They all seem very important, but, at the end, only 4 of them really are present in the book.

I also felt the way that the story was told was a bit choppy. The descriptions were lacking something and sometimes their actions and thoughts weren’t very coherent with the situation. Maybe the crazy teen hormones had something to do with it, but I was a bit lost here and there.

So, my asterisk was used to show you guys that I wouldn’t give this book 3 stars… I’d give less. But I really think this story has potential (especially after making me cry and sob like crazy at the end), so the asterisk is me, putting all my positive thoughts, believing there will be a good story by the end of the series.

I loved this book. The author did an amazing job of setting the tone for the story. The feelings and interactions between the characters was true to their age. The story was very refreshing and you can see the worries and feelings of the characters in the story. Graduation high school is a big thing and making all the decisions that come after can be very stressful. Riley has always hug out with the "sexy six" but on graduation night things change. Feelings are expressed and emotions run high. Can her and Ace make things work? All of Riley's friends leave there little town to start there adult life while she is left alone. A tragedy happens and Riley wants to prove to everyone that she can manage on her own. She is just feeling more confident when tragedy strikes again. Riley is devastated! I enjoyed all the characters in this book. I want to learn more about each one of the 6 and where their story goes from here. At the end of this book I almost wanted to scream "NO"........ With this authors work I can never get enough of the worlds that she weaves!!

This is The Summer I Fell... IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK!

There are so many things I like about this book. There's the rowdy group of boys and the tough as nails girl that gives as good as she gets. They think of her as just one of the boys... unless someone tries to hurt her and then you better watch out. They all have their own secrets, their own plans for the future and now that they've graduated they have to face reality... Summer will come to an end and they will each go their separate ways. This may be their last chance to spend some time together as a group and they want to make the best of it.

I laughed, I cried, I even got irritated a few times. It was a rollercoaster of emotions and that's just how I like my books.

There are romantic scenes in this book, but they are not explicitly descriptive. I personally would recommend this book for readers 17 and up.

Must've been nice having six good looking guys as your best friends through your teenage years. Wish I lucked out like that when I was in high school. Would have definitely made my experience much more exciting.

So this was good and for the most part pretty darn cute. I think it needed to be fleshed out a little more though. A lot of it was the honeymoon phase and that was loads of fun because the characters individually and together were great. But since it took a good portion of the book, there wasn't much going on. The hits at the end came quick and I kind of saw that coming. This book honestly felt like setup so just when the heavy stuff, the substance of the story, would start the book ended. Looking forward to the next one since I'm really curious about where everything is going. I have my ideas.

Where to even begin........ This book had me laughing one minute and "awwwwing" the next! I have to say it brought tears to my eyes more than once but especially at the end. I am an AF wife myself so it was very emotional for me. I absolutely can't wait for the next book!! The Summer I Fell is a must read. If you were ever a part of a circle of friends that would do anything for each other, then this book is for you.

A cliffhanger...F*©k!!! I really hate cliffhanger.

I really enjoyed the story of Riley and her Six. Each of the Six were amazing in their own way. All the characters provided so much to the story. The book was sweet, sexy, loving and heartbreaking.

I am looking forward to book 2, especially after the cliffhanger.
