NYT and USA Today Bestselling author Kaylee Ryan brings you a new standalone series surrounding the Nashville Rampage football team. Learn the Play is a coach’s daughter, forbidden, one-night stand, surprise-pregnancy romance.
Bellamy
I watched my parents’ marriage crumble when my father chose football over family. His love for the game destroyed us. It’s why I loathe it. It’s also why I don’t trust easily.
So when I meet a handsome stranger at a hotel bar, we trade nothing but first names. I’m miles from home and I’ll never see him again.
Until I do. At a family event with my dad, he’s there—my mystery man from weeks ago. Only now, I know who he is: a football player on my father’s team. Which means I need to forget him… and his tight end.
Reid
The night I meet the dark-haired beauty at the bar, everything changes. We talk, laugh, and our connection is unlike anything I’ve ever felt. The next morning, she’s gone, leaving me with only her name.
I think I’ve lost her, until she walks into my stadium, standing right beside my coach. Fate hands me a second chance, and I’m not letting it slip.
To her, I’m just another football player. But I’ll prove to her that I’m not her father… I’m my own man. And my dream girl, she was meant to be mine.

It feels like a longer novella, tbh. It was overly fluffy and cheesy (at times it made me cringe), but it was overall okay, I think.
Reid (29) and Bell (25) met at the wedding venue of their friends (separate wedding, just the same event place). Small talks turn to deeper conversations until they end up spending the night together. If readers aren't into instant connection, they probably might not like this book because that's pretty much the case for the MCs. Reid started calling Bell his "dream girl," and for some reason he's decided that she's different and she could be "the one."
But she has trust and abandonment issues, and while she experienced the same feelings and attraction for him, she snuck out the next morning. They didn't exchange full names or numbers, so there's no way for them to contact each other. But a month later they met again at an event (football-related). You could call it fate or destiny; as it turns out, she's the daughter of his coach.
This is probably where the OTT sweetness and cheesiness come into play. Reid didn't give a crap that his coach is his dream girl's father. He decided right then and there to mini-bulldoze his way into her life, as he's not willing for her to walk away the second time around. Tbf, they had no clue about the identity of each other the night they first met; they were just strangers who found some sparks and connected instantly.
In the present, when Bell found out that Reid is a football player, much less her dad's player, she decided not to pursue things with him. See, her father missed a lot of her life growing up because football became his priority. Her parents got divorced as the result of that, and since then she harbors anger toward her dad. Hence why she vowed not to date football players.
But Reid is persistent; props to him. Even though Bell blows him off at every opportunity, he has never stopped trying to show that he’s not like her father. This is basically how the first half goes: him chasing after her and her avoiding him, only to give in after a few days or a week.
Then she found out she's pregnant (from their ONS), and this is where everything changed for them. She finally stopped running away, and she said she owed it to both of them and their baby to give them a real chance. From this point on, it's pretty much a lovefest between the MCs alongside the help and support of their loved ones. Also Bell and her father have started to repair their relationship.
Welp, my review went on longer than what I originally planned, but yeah, overall, the story was okay. Like I said, this feels just like a longer novella (200+ pages). It's a quick read and enjoyable enough to pass some time. 😅
Book info: — Strangers to lovers — Instant connection — Accidental pregnancy — Coach’s daughter — Second chance-ish?? (1 month, after ONS) — No cheating, OM/OW, separation — No V — HFN (6 weeks later, just given birth, and engaged)
Notes: — No, V. Bell said she doesn't do ONS, and Reid was her first time. She's the relationship type of girl, so I guess this is why. As for him, he said he doesn't do ONS often; I'm not sure if he's a relationship type of guy. There wasn't much info about their past. — Celibacy. Reid said it's been almost a year since he last slept with someone, and that woman was someone he casually dated and brought to events. While Bell said it was longer than that for her, and no specific time frame was mentioned. — Not sure if it's worth mentioning, but Reid said he hadn't gone bare with anyone. Bell is the only woman he's done that with, and she's the only one who has ever slept in his bed.
Reid and Bellamy were just so good. I was hooked on them the minute he calls her Dreamgirl, and I stayed hooked the entire time.
Kaylee writes these down bad green flag man so good. Each books I think ive found a favorite just for the next book to blow me away.
✨ Football Romance ✨ One Night Stand ✨ Coach’s Daughter ✨ Accidental Pregnancy ✨ He falls first and HARD
Reid and Bellamy meet when they are at the same resort for two separate weddings and their meet cute was something out of a dream. Like I completely swooned. I love when it's just supposed to be one night, but then it's just... more.
Bellamy has some trust issues that are stemmed from her strained relationship with her father, and Reid patiently and steadily waits her out and shows her that she can trust him. I also really like the coach's daughter aspect, especially because Reid did not back down and he did not falter. And Bellamy, seeing her open up to Reid, and to the whole little found family of this group, it made me smile.
I also thought that the pregnancy aspect of this one was done well and just really loved it for their story. Basically this whole series is a comfort read for me. I definitely recommend.
I absolutely love this Nashville Rampage series!! This is as such a great football/sports, forbidden romance, & she’s the coaches daughter. Kaylee Ryan did it again and boy did she bring it with Reid!! The sweet, selfless, but sexy MMC that he is!! He fell hard and fast, but the way he loved her was perfection! Reid and Bellamy’s relationship was so wholesome and organic and I loved every second of it!! Surprise pregnancy isn’t usually my favorite, but this was done so well! This one made me feel so many things & the healing in this one was powerful. I absolutely love the found family in this friend group & I cannot wait to see what else comes from this series!!
Thank you Kaylee Ryan for this early opportunity to read Learn the Play!
4.5 stars! Kaylee Ryan just knows how to write a hot, swoony, devoted man 🤌🏼
-Football Player MMC -Dual POV -One night stand -Found family -Spice -Surprise pregnancy
This book had me swooning from start to finish- one night at a wedding resort, weeks later a chance encounter has Bellamy and Reid seeing each other again - and the sparks never left!
Fast paced, easy to read, I binged this in a day! Under 300 pages and the author crafted a perfect, swoony football romance!
Highly recommend this, and the rest of the Rampage series for any romance or sports romance lovers!
This is book three in the Nashville Rampage series and it was so good.
Bellamy, her father choose his career over his family, and that angered her. She hates football & will never go out with a man whose career path is football.
Reid, his the tight end for Nashville Rampage, and one of the best. His sole focus has always been his career, until he meets Bellamy and now he has to fight for his love & future with her.
Reid & Bellamy meet when his at a friends wedding, two strangers who have instant connection, spend a night together and fall instantly.
The only problem he doesn't know who she is and where she lives, until he finds out that she is his coach's daughter and he realises he has to work for everything.
Reid, I loved this hero and at times I truly felt like he deserved better. Bellamy, I understood her pain and anger but damn she got on my nerves at times 🙈
The love that Reid constantly showed her was beautiful.
And it was a great addition to the amazing series.
Next up is Daddy Sin. And I. Can't. Wait.
𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬
Loved catching up with the previous couples. Daddy Sin & Baby Camden 💜 Foster 💚 Sloane 🩷
This series. Could be one of Kaylees best because with each book I get more invested in this little rampage family!!
Reid. I thought he was going to be the fun playboy but damn he was one determined man and nothing was going to stand in his way once he found Bellamy again. He really took the challenge of changing Bellamy’s mind about their relationship and steam rolled any walls she had erected. He was all in and wasn’t afraid of the time or effort it took to prove it to her. I adored the way he took care of his little family, he was really green flags all the way.
Bellamy took a bit more time to warm up to because she had such a chip on her shoulder about her dad and she made it the fore front of every decision she made. I felt so bad for Coach Daddy because the man never stopped trying to win her approval and love back even after 15 years. I’m glad she finally listened to her best friend and her mum and was encouraged to take the steps of rebuilding her relationship with her dad. Once they found out they were having a baby, she really put all of her trust in Reid and it was a really sweet pay off in the end.
As always, Kaylees found families reign supreme and I love watching them all start little families and support each other in the best way possible.
Learn the Play is the third book in the Nashville Rampage series! It was such a sweet and feel-good read with so many swoon-worthy moments! From the first night Reid met Bellamy he knew she was the one for him! Bellamy was hesitant at first. However, Reid was one determined man and never gave up and always showed Bellamy how much he loved and cared for her!
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭: 💚 One Nightstand 🏈 Coach’s Daughter 💚 Forbidden Romance 🏈 Football Romance 💚 Surprise Pregnancy
I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved everything about this book! #LearnThePlay is the 3rd book in the #NashvilleRampage series. The series are all stand alone but involve an interconnected friend group. I don’t really mind the “spoilers” from the first 2 couples bc it wasn’t anything you couldn’t deduce from the blurbs on the back. This book follows Reid and Bellamy who meet at a hotel bar where they both were attending separate weddings. They spend the night together getting to know each other and Bellamy leaves before Reid wakes up. Reid, infatuated with Bellamy, his dream girl, has not been able to forget her and os surprised to see her again when his coach introduces her as his daughter, Reid is determined to not let her get away again. Bellamy, having a complicated relationship w her father and football (which she blames for the lack of relationship w her dad), she is hesitant to try and be w Reid. She pushes Reid away and he’s constantly trying to get any time with her until she finally agrees. He promises her that she isn’t like her father and won’t let anything get in their way. I loved this romance because it was very sweet. I feel like often times maybe the darkness or spice of romance is what connects the MCs whereas in this story, yes the one night stands connects them (literally) but they go deeper to explore their connection which I enjoyed. I’m excited for everyone to fall in love with this book and can’t wait for Daddy Sins book next!
I feel like a broken record when I say I LOVE THIS SERIES! Every book has been an absolute LOVE for me! EEK! I’m obsessed with the heroes of the Nashville Rampage Series. If you love sports romance novels with a sweet and spicy kick, don’t hesitate and pick up The Nashville Rampage Series by Kaylee Ryan. But be warned, this series has marathoning written all over it. You’re not going to be able to stop with just one!
Learn The Play is the third book in the Nashville Rampage Series written by Kaylee Ryan. All it took was one night for Reid to figure out what his best friends have been talking about in regards to their happily ever afters. One night with his dream girl is all it took for the big picture to align. But that night was all that was promised, and Reid’s dream girl disappeared without a last name or a phone number. Holy Cheez-its! This man literally had my heart swooning and enveloped in all the feels! I couldn’t get enough of Reid and his ambitious mind! My heart is still lovesick over Mr. Reid Montgomery!
Bellamy isn’t the one night stand kind of girl, but something about Reid spoke to her and she decided to throw caution to the wind and share one night with a stranger who understood her on a deeper level. Before the first rays of morning sun hit Bellamy packs up her stuff and leaves Reid sleeping peacefully. I’m not going to lie, there were moments when I felt fear for Bellamy and the happily ever after she could very well miss out on. I was so scared she was going to push to much. I felt like her fear of trusting a football player was warranted, but the keeping her heart hidden made me extremely nervous for this novel. I have to say, that is the only reason why I decided to rate this novel a 4 ½ star rating. I wanted glimpses of that armor breaking down slowly, instead of it breaking fully when the… news… is found out. I wanted to see that Bellamy was all in before that….news…. Was mentioned. If that makes any sense. Bellamy’s story put my heart through the emotional wringer! And that’s all I’m going to say on that one.
Overall, I adored Learn The Play by Kaylee Ryan. I don’t know how she does it, I’m completely enamoured by this series and this novel. The friendships, the endless passion, and a message that is learning to forgive. What more can I say, I loved every moment this novel had to offer! I’ll end this review by stating the feeling is extremely strong that the next book in this series will be my most favorite!

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Learn the Play is book 3 in the Nashville Rampage series by Kaylee Ryan. With each new book released in this series, my love for this found family deepens. Despite their individual struggles, they consistently demonstrate trust and support for one another. Bellamy and Reid are no exception to this dynamic. I am particularly struck by how Reid’s friends rallied around Bellamy, teaching her the importance of trusting others and allowing them to support her. There’s a clear reason why this group of individuals naturally came together, forming the family and safe haven they have created. I eagerly anticipate what Kaylee Ryan will reveal next about the rest of the Nashville Rampage team.
And that’s the perfect way to start this month ❤️ I wasn’t even half way through the book and I already knew was going to be a five star read and I was sooooo right about that 😭❤️
I’m just going to say one think, Reid Montgomery is THE standard and we all deserve a man like him 😭❤️
I loved Bellamy and Reid’s story, I loved every single second I was reading them, and I could relate to Bellamy so much because I have the exact same daddy issues as her but unfortunately for me, my dad’s nothing like Coach Will but I’m so happy Bellamy could have her dad back into her life, and I also love for her that she found Reid, he is everything she was afraid of, but he was also exalta what she need it! I man that always shows up, that’s always there for here no matter what, he is the perfect example of, when a person really wants to, they going to find the way to, and oh my god he did 🥹❤️🩹 Reid told Bellamy every day he’ll show up, that he would fight for her even against her, and he did and it was perfect and beautiful and I lost count on how many times the book made me cry happy tears 😭❤️
This is now one of my favorites reads of the year and I can’t wait for next book 🙂↔️ I need to read Daddy Sin having his HEA and also I need Foster’s one please ✨🛐
A quick pace, insta love sports romance. I loved how quick the chemistry between Reid and Bellamy grew; might have started as a one night stand but their love definitely sparked that first night.
This is the first book I’ve read of the series but I didn’t feel confused; the found family with all the friendships and teammates was included well.
I’m a big fan of accidental pregnancy, which is why I picked this book up without going back to the first two beforehand. I loved how much Reid was all in from the beginning and then even more committed when he found out about the baby. & Bellamy slowly letting her walls down the more Reid showed up was precious.
The 3.5 is because I tend to like a bit more spice and I would have enjoyed a little bit more of a slowed down timeline to enjoy the pregnancy aspect more. But that’s pure personal preference so rounded up to 4 for goodreads.
Tropes: insta love football player coach’s daughter reserved fmc he falls first accidental pregnancy found family
Loved Reid and Bellamy. Their romance was just what the doctor prescribed. They met, had a connection, spent an amazing night together and thought they'd never see each other again. Reid was bumed that his dream girl got away, but little does he know just how connected they are. When they met again, Bellamy learns he's a football player and she wants nothing to do with him. But the connection was too strong and she finally lets him take care and love her the way she needs to be loved.
The only problem I had with this story is her dad? Why are they all treating him like he's a monster? Even when her mom told her how he didn't want to push her and how he kept trying to reach out, they all still acted the same - i mean the man loved her and wanted to be in her life, and some hiw he's still the bad guy??
Ok rant over but i had to get that out of the way so i can say this- Kennedy Ryan can do no wrong in my opinion. Her ability to make me love her characters and their way to HEA is truly unmatched and I'm a huge fan!

Sports romance 🏈 TE x coaches daughter One night stand He falls first and hard Surprise pregnancy
‘To her, I’m just another football player. But I’ll prove to her that I’m not her father… I’m my own man. And my dream girl, she was meant to be mine.’
I absolutely loved Bellamy and Reid’s Love story! Seen Bellamy struggle with her daddy issues because Bellamy’s father always chose his football career over her and her family. Watching her mother struggle. And then overcoming her daddy issues are working through them with Free and his unwavering support he he’s always there for her. At a mutual friend’s wedding, their chemistry is explosive leading to a one night stand. Bella let me sneak sneaks away before Reed wakes up. They come face-to-face seeing each other again at her father’s football event… He’s his star TE. I loved how Reid was fearless going after what he wants and not letting her get away a second time. Loved how maturely they handled the pregnancy. This read was absolutely quick and fantastic. I’m loving this series!
was such a sweet, feel-good read with just enough angst to keep me hooked. Bellamy and Reid’s story hit all the right tropes—coach’s daughter, forbidden love, surprise pregnancy—and still managed to feel heartfelt instead of overdone. Reid was the kind of patient, steady hero that makes you melt, and Bellamy’s walls felt so real given her past. Their chemistry from that first night at the bar was instant and electric, and seeing it turn into something deeper made me root for them hard.
SERIES: Nashville Rampage BOOK: 3 RELEASE DATE: 14th October 2025.
Firstly, where can I get me a Reid Montgomery???
Having attended a wedding of his friend, he meets Bellamy, a girl at the bar who is also attending one of her friends' weddings. (Not the same wedding) they talk about life and then go their separate ways.
He discovers she's his 'dream girl' and wants to find her but believes fate will bring them back together!!
However, it does, but all does not go smoothly!!
Bellamy has trust issues and pushes Reid every time he tries to reach forward.
Oh, sweet Reid is nothing short of persistent.
He's determined to make her his. Does he have what it takes to break down Bellamy's walls, or are her trust issues too much to for him. Will she let him prove he's nothing like she expects home to be.
Thank you, @kaylee_ryan_author, for this arc copy.
I'm so invested in this series, and I need to read Fosters' book.. but I also need Bakers', too...
Nashville Rampage Head Coach’s daughter, Bellamy, struggles with the fact her father has always chosen football over his family. While attending a wedding, a conversation between strangers leads to an incredible one-night stand. Bellamy is gone before he wakes but a month later the two come face to face at a football event and she’s stunned to discover the man she can’t stop thinking about just so happens to be…. her father’s star tight end, Reid Montgomery.
𝓜𝔂 𝓽𝓱𝓸𝓾𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓼: Kaylee Ryan scores again with Learn the Play. This tatted tight end falls so hard and fast for Bellamy and I could not get enough of them. These two are proof that teamwork makes the dream work!
Bell stirs feelings within Reid that he has never felt, she slipped away once and there’s no way he is letting her get away again. He puts in the work! He is so patient, understanding, protective, and supportive. He was willing and ready to learn whatever play it takes to score his dream girl. Swoon.
I loved how real their relationship felt, it grew so authentically. These two worked together and communicated so well. The surprise pregnancy trope was written so well. I loved how maturely Bell and Reid navigated the situation. Even if this is a trope you would normally shy again from, I highly recommend giving this one a try.
Their chemistry was off the charts, the spice was 10/10!
I adore this entire series. I love how each teammate plays such a large part in each book. The found family within this series is top tier. These guys are so much more than teammates, they are family.
What to expect: 🏈Football Romance 🍼Tight End x Coach’s Daughter 🏈One Night Stand 🍼He Falls First & Hard 🏈Surprise Pregnancy
Huge thanks for Kaylee Ryan for allowing me to read Bellamy and Reid’s story in advance.
Learn the Play is absolutely incredible! I truly loved Learn the Play by Kaylee Ryan; it is an incredible he falls first/accidental pregnancy love story. It is the third book in her Nashville Rampage series. Kaylee Ryan is an amazing storyteller and is a must read; one click author for me. I was hooked from the first few pages, it was impossible to put Learn the Play down, and I loved every moment on every page. It filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions. It is one of the most enjoyable books that I have read recently. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? I love how Kaylee Ryan somehow manages to find the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong woman on her own, to balance out her men. Learn the Play is the story of Reid Montgomery, starting tight end of the Nashville Rampage and Bellamy Warner, operations manager for Riggins Enterprises. Bellamy and Reid meet at a beach bar after attending separate weddings in California. They share drinks, a walk on the beach, and a night together, but not last names, phones numbers, or where they live. When Reid wakes up, Bellamy is gone. At the Nashville Rampage family day, Bellamy attends with her best friend, Amanda to support her father, Will Warner, the head coach, introduces Bellamy to the team. Reid is so excited to be reunited with his “dream girl” but quickly remember that she hates football. During their time together Bellamy told Reid about her relationship with and her feelings for her father. Reid tries to convince Bellamy to trust him to prove he is different, but she is not interested in having a relationship with a football player. Bellamy soon discovers that she is pregnant. I love the instant chemistry between Bellamy and Reid, their conversation flows so easily, with innuendos and playful banter, and Reid constantly flirting and dirty talking. As they spend time together things change between them, and Reid shows Bellamy that he will be there for her and their baby. I love all the little things that Reid does for Bellamy, and how he calls her “Bell” a nickname that no one else has called her. I love all the changes that both Bellamy and Reid are willing to make in their lives to have a life with one another. I love the text streams between Reid and Bellamy, and Reid and his teammates. An unexpected plot twist causes Bellamy to end up in the hospital; I love how Reid proved that he would put her first regardless of the game and how it changed her relationship with her father. I love how they finally admit their feelings for each other. I love all the heart-to-heart conversations that take place in Learn the Play, especially the ones that they have with their families and friends, and Bellamy has with her parents. Make sure you have Kleenex nearby. I love how Corie, Sloane, Rowan, and the Rampage teammates quickly embraces Bellamy, and become family. One of my favorite parts is the baby shower gift that Bellamy’s Dad gives her, you might need your Kleenex again. My favorite part are the epilogues one told from Bellamy’s perspective, the other from Reid’s perspectives and how it goes above a happily ever after. The epilogues are the perfect ending of their love story, from Reid’s proposal and the location to the name they chose for their baby. Another favorite part was the bonus scene shown from both of their perspective it is the perfect ending of their love story and all the changes that they have made together. I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. I love that the dialogue that Kaylee Ryan chooses perfectly fits her characters. My favorite part of the book is how Kaylee Ryan incorporates the title of the book and the picture on the cover into the love story, and how the title is used multiple times throughout the story. This page turner is filled with heartbreaking, heartwarming, poignant, and bittersweet moments as well as plot twists and surprises that I have come to love and expect in a love story and was not disappointed with Kaylee Ryan’s delivery of those things. I love how Kaylee Ryan managed to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong, sassy woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy man. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Learn the Play. The characters feel like family and friends, especially Bellamy’s relationship with Corie, Sloane, Rowan, and Reid’s teammates. I especially love all the love that everyone showers on Camden. I love that their friendship feels like family. I love how the football family embraces Bellamy and Reid, who are only children. I enjoyed all the interactions between all the Nashville Rampage football players it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I love the descriptions of the Nashville location. I loved the relationship between Reid and his teammates. I love how Kaylee Ryan incorporated characters from her other books into Learn the Play. I loved Learn the Play and am so excited to read the other books in the series. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? This book had my interest from the start, and I fell in love with the story. I thoroughly enjoyed Learn the Play who does not love an instant chemistry/accidental pregnancy love story. Highly recommend this incredible love story. Received an advanced copy from the author.
Once again Kaylee Ryan has produced pure sweetness in her third book in the Nashville Rampage series. Just like the earlier books our MMC he falls hard and he falls fast, the problem is it’s a one-night stand that slips away before he gets her last name or number.
Reid Montgomery is the tight end that goes to LA for one of his college best friend’s weddings and while taking a break from the festivities he meets Bellamey. The two share a drink, a walk on the beach, and a lot of talking before a night in Bellamey's room that was more than either could have expected.
Reid plans to it make known that despite the fact his job is in Nashville and he has no idea where she's from he wants to see more of her, but when he wakes up, she's gone. He has faith though that he'll find her again and weeks of missing someone he only knew for a few hours hasn't diminished his want for her.
Bellamey also heads home and tells her best friend, Amanda about the amazing night she had. Amanda thinks she's crazy for walking away with no idea how to reach him but she knows better than most her hang ups. Despite denying that it was anything more than an amazing one-night experience she can't stop thinking about him.
Reid has watched two of his friends fall hard for the women that have changed their lives, and another become a father. He then watched another of his best friends get married and have a baby all of which has had him seeing what he wants. He's not looking specifically but he knows what he's looking for and when she comes along, he plans to hold on tight.
Bellamey knows what she doesn't want. She watched her mother and father fall apart when her father prioritised his career over them. It's left Bellamey with some deep emotional scars that have her afraid to let any man in. She understands the importance of a career and big dreams but she just wants to be someone’s priority.
Bellamey has no idea what Reid does for a living and when the two meet up again it's a huge cause for her to flinch back from Reid and not just be wary but try to fight off his advances. Reid had no idea how much their talk from that night about her family is going to be a huge roadblock in his way.
Luckily Reid is determined like never before to win Bellamey over. He's not just putting on a show to get what he wants but he's all in to prove to Bellamey that's he can and will be everything she needs. He's not only got his determination and strength of character but he has his found family right behind him. The guys and their girls are there to support him and help Bellamey see the forest through the trees.
If you're looking for a story that's full of sweetness and romance and just all-round heartwarming then Kaylee Ryan is going to fulfill your needs. I'm loving the Nashville Rampage players falling for their girls and I can't wait for the others to find their happy ever afters.
Learn the Play is book 3 in the Nashville Rampage series and follows Reid as he finds his dream girl, who just happens to be his coach's daughter. Talk about complications.
Reid is the top tight end in the league right now. His core group of friends, who he calls family, is made up of his teammates and their families. After seeing two of his best friends fall in love and get married, he is now wishing to find his dream girl.
Bellamy is a child of divorce. She believes her father chose his career over his family years ago. She was raised by her mother and never had anything to do with her father after he left by her choice. Because of this anger and feeling of abandonment, she wants nothing to do with a football player. She does not trust easily. She knows what she wants in a partner, she just has not found it yet.
Reid and Bellamy meet in California where they are each attending different weddings at the same resort. Both escaped their relative weddings and meet up at the beachfront bar. After having a couple of drinks, they decide to take a walk along the beach. During their walk, they open up to each other about what they are looking for in their partner. It is a conversation you would expect from a committed couple, not strangers who just met at the bar.
Bellamy is not a one night stand girl, but with Reid she is willing to do just that. These two only exchanged first names, so when she sneaks out the next morning, he has no way to contact her. Until fate intervenes.
Bellamy has avoided her father for years. But she is so distracted, she does not look at the caller id and just answers her phone. When he invites her to attend family day with the team, she is noncommittal. But fate, and her best friend, have different plans for her.
When she runs in to Reid at family day, she is beyond shocked. Not only is she spending time with her father, but she has run in to her one night stand. And he is a football player on her father's team. Why her?!?!?!
When the girls in Reid's family step in and adopt both Bellamy and her best friend, Amanda, she finds it hard to say no to them. On top of that, Reid is doing everything in his power to prove to her that he is in it for the long haul. But, again, fate has a different plan for them.
There are so many twists of fate in this book. Bellamy finds it hard to keep pushing Reid away. The girls have adopted her and Amanda into their group. She is being accepted for who she is with utter devotion from those around her.
When she faces a crisis, everyone steps in to get her the care she needs. Reid, the girls, his teammates, her mom and even her dad. They all come through for her.
This book is full of emotions. Anger, resentment, shock, love, undying devotion, fear and forgiveness. Be prepared for all of the feels. This book is full of them.
Kaylee Ryan did it again and boy did she bring it with Reid. The sweet, selfless, but sexy MMC that he is. He fell hard and fast, but the way he loved her was perfection!
Reid and Bell met at the wedding venue of their friends (separate wedding, just the same event place).
Reid didn't give a crap that his coach is his dream girl's father. He decided right then and there to mini-bulldoze his way into her life, as he's not willing for her to walk away the second time around. Tof, they had no clue about the identity of each other the night they first met; they were just strangers who found some sparks and connected instantly. When Bell found out that Reid is a football player, much less her dad's player, she decided not to pursue things with him. See, her father missed a lot of her life growing up because football became his priority. Her parents got divorced as the result of that, and since then she harbors anger toward her dad. Hence why she vowed not to date football players. But Reid is persistent; props to him. Even though Bell blows him off at every opportunity, he has never stopped trying to show that he's not like her father. This is basically how the first half goes: him chasing after her and her avoiding him, only to give in after a few days or a week. Then she found out she's pregnant (from their one night together), and this is where everything changed for them. She finally stopped running away, and she said she owed it to both of them and their baby to give them a real chance. From this point on, it's pretty much a lovefest between the MCs alongside the help and support of their loved ones. Also Bell and her father have started to repair their relationship.
Reid and Bellamy's relationship was so wholesome and organic and I loved every second of it. This one made me feel so many things & the healing in this one was powerful. I absolutely love the found family in this friend group I still can’t get over how welcoming and they are so supportive of one another. The chosen family that they have is indescribable.
And we’re back for book 3 in the Nashville Rampage Series. This is a football romance and if you like- guys that fall hard, she’s his everything, teddy bear athletes, this is it. These guys are swoon worthy.
For a brief recap, this series is five teammates, five best friends; Knox, Landry, Reid, Baker and Foster. With Knox and Landry now living their HEA, it’s Reid turn to see what the fuss is all about. Reid has been ok with being single, but as he watches his friends fall in love, he sees the appeal and is a bit envious. He isn’t actively looking for his One, but he certainly won’t turn her away if he finds her.
After one of his friend’s weddings, Reid needs a bit of air and heads for the beach to walk. Before he can get up, a woman, Bellamy, plops down beside him at the bar, clearly not having a great night. When Reid gets a good look at her, he freezes, she is stunning. Not quite understanding his reaction to her, he decides to ask her about her night. The conversation flows. Bellamy tends to ask him about his dream girl, and as Reid describes her, how can he be single? It sounds like he’s the dream guy. From a drink, to talking, to walking on the beach, neither are ready to say goodnight. With that, they don’t. But when Reid wakes the next morning, he knows instantly, Bellamy was his dream girl….and she’s gone.
Bellamy grew up in a household where her father was gone all the time. He chose his job over his family. Now that she’s older, her walls are up and she never thought she would fall in love. And she definitely would never be with a guy that had a job like her father. After an amazing night with Reid, she knew she had to leave. He’s the type of guy you can get attached to. Several weeks later, Bellamy attends family day with her father, the coach for Nashville Rampage, when she’s introduced to some of his players…Reid being one of them.
Reid has a tough road ahead but when these guys see something they want, they don’t back down and they fight hard. These books are so good. Lighthearted, so entertaining, fun, and a great world created. We see lots of the friends and they don’t disappoint. Always there to offer their love and support. Can’t wait for the others, their stories, and their HEAs. Thank you #Greyspromo.
This is the first time I have read a book by this author. Bellamy and Reid met when they both were at a bar when they were each at a wedding. They hit it off and enjoyed their night talking, walking and other things. He treated her nothing but a lady, and she for the first time in her life didn’t know how to process it. They never exchanged numbers, last names or even where they were from. Wasn’t it a shock when they meet again. When she shows up for family day, for the football team that her father coaches on. While she has a rough relationship with her dad, she doesn’t want to give Reid the time of there day. He’s a football player and they never put anything or anyone else first. However, she quickly learns thats not the case and he does everything in his power to show her that she really his “Dream Girl” and she is everything to him. The first time that she sees it is when they meet for lunch and he leaves the guys at the guy for her. Over the course of the next few weeks he does everything from calling her, to checking on her to even showing up on girls night. That’s the same night she finds out that she is pregnant and tells him. She expected him to run, but it’s the opposite. He couldn’t be more excited, and his her move in with him. As time goes on, he comes to realize he’s in love with her. She also finds herself thinking the same thing. She is also learning thats her relationship with her father needs to be developed over again, when she starts giving him the time of day and learns some things from the past. She couldn’t do it without Reid and he’s there through everything for her. His friends welcome her into their family and she finally isn’t afraid to love. This a quick read, as I was able to read it in one evening. There are some heart felt moments, and some emotional moments. This is an easy story to follow, and it pulls you into the story. There were a few moments that i was getting a little on the confused side, when Reid’s nickname for her kept changing. He kept calling her by her full name, then Bell, then Dream Girl and then finally baby. I think it the author was able to keep it to maybe 2 names for her, it might flow a little better. I also felt like their relationship was to perfect even thought they just met, became parents and got engaged all within 9 months.
"This book was nothing short of amazing and I think it might just be my favorite in the series - for now!! Bellamy and Reid’s story had me invested right from the beginning. And then the way it progressed, well it just kept getting better and better. There were a few moments that had a bit of shock value. Mainly to me it was that Bellamy is Reid’s coaches estranged daughter. That’s a whole story in itself but does play a huge part in their relationship. I liked the way Reid handled this, because it certainly wasn’t an easy fix and he was definitely going to do everything he could to win her over. There are so many fantastic supporting characters, mainly Reid’s teammates, that add so much to this already incredible story. When you see a trope named “found family” this is the Rampage in a nutshell. After reading these three stories, and what I can guess is still two more to come, I cannot wait to read them both, even if they’re only half as good as the previous ones." ~Sharon
"The story follows Bellamy, a woman determined to avoid the world of football after watching her father choose the game over their family. Her walls are high, her trust issues deep, and her rules simple—no athletes, no attachments, no repeats. But one night with a mysterious stranger in a hotel bar changes everything. Reid, the charming, grounded, and refreshingly genuine football player, is impossible not to fall for. When fate throws them back together—this time as the daughter of his coach and the player under her father’s leadership—their connection becomes both irresistible and complicated. What stands out most is the emotional depth Ms. Ryan brings to both characters. Bellamy's struggle with her father’s betrayal and her fear of history repeating itself feels raw and real. Reid, meanwhile, is a perfect mix of confidence and vulnerability—proving that not all men in her father’s world are cut from the same cloth. The banter and chemistry between Bellamy and Reid are electric, but what makes their romance special is the tenderness underneath it all. It’s not just a story of attraction—it’s about learning to trust again, breaking cycles, and realizing love doesn’t have to hurt." ~Stephanie
Another new to me author that I loved! Learn The Play by @kaylee_ryan_author is book 3 in the Nashville Rampage series. Nothing better than books about football with gorgeous, protective, possessive men that fall hard and will do anything for their women!
Reid and Bellamy have a one-night, instant and amazing connection. But their night leaves such a lasting impression on both of them. And fate literally brings them back together! Bellamy is the coach’s daughter. Struggling for many years with her dad being the coach that left his family for the team and the fear that has caused in her with men. Reid knew by the end of that first night that she was his dream girl and the second chance to be in her life, he takes it arms wide open and will keep her at any cost! I absolutely loved Bellamy and Reid’s story—every single second of it. He’s everything she was afraid of and yet exactly what she needed. A man who always shows up, who’s there no matter what—he’s proof that when someone truly wants to be in your life, they’ll find a way. Can there please be real Reid’s in life?!?! Add in a surprise pregnancy, that for once I loved how the author wrote it so authentically. Add in their complete burn and heat and passion, HOT!!
I adore the characters and family dynamic in this whole series. They feel less like characters on a page and more like real family and friends. I love how they are a found family to each other that will do anything for each other! Again, can I have some of this in real life?!?! Kaylee's books hit me right in the feels, and this one was no different. It was definitely a bit more insta-love than I usually go for, but honestly, the love story was so good I couldn’t put it down! And I can't wait for for Daddy Sin and Foster's books!!
Rate: 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 3/5🌶️🌶️🌶️
TRULY THANK YOU Kaylee Ryan and Grey’s PR for my ARC!🖤
💗 Coach's Daughter 🏈 Football Romance 💗 Forbidden 🏈 One Night Stand 💗 Surprise Pregnancy 🏈 Interconnected Standalone
😊What i liked -
✔Coach's Daughter/He Falls First/Forbidden/Surprise Pregnancy/One Night Stand/Sports. ✔I am so in love with Reid (where are such men in real life?).I loved how he showed Bellamy that she is it for him. The Plot, the characters are all so good (even the ones i did not really warm upto). The chemistry was on point. I laughed and I shed a few tears too while reading. Kaylee's storytelling is a treat. The amount of support the MC's have was amazing to read about. Though the guys have been my Favorite since the first book but my absolute favorite character in the whole series has been Sloane (can't wait to read her story). This book was exactly how I thought it would be.
🤔What could have been better-
✔ I sympathized with Bellamy but I felt in quite a few places she was behaving like an entitled brat (i am sure many people won't agree to this).

Thank you, Kaylee Ryan & Grey's Promotions, for a copy.
Learn the Play (Nashville Rampage Book 3) by Kaylee Ryan is a captivating NFL sports romance featuring tight end Reid Montgomery and Bellamy Warner, the coach’s daughter. The novel explores the unexpected connection between these two characters, set against the backdrop of the Nashville Rampage football team. Bellamy and Reid meet as strangers after leaving separate weddings of their friends. Their paths cross in a nearby hotel bar, where a spontaneous conversation leads them to spend the evening together. They enjoy walks on the beach and eventually close down the bar, continuing their magical night in Bellamy’s room. Both choose to withhold their last names and job details, making it impossible for them to contact each other after Bellamy leaves Reid sleeping peacefully early the next morning. The encounter remains unforgettable for Reid, who finds himself constantly thinking of Bellamy and hoping for another chance to see her. Meanwhile, Bellamy’s reluctance to trust stems from her past, where she witnessed the negative impact of football on her parents’ marriage. Reluctantly, Bellamy attends a pre-season formal family event where her dad, the Nashville Rampage’s team coach, takes her around the room introducing her to his circle of friends and team players, which includes Reid Montgomery, who is thrilled to see his “dream girl” again. From that moment forward, Reid begins his pursuit of Bellamy and attempts to integrate her into his circle of friends and their partners. He has decided to spend his time showing her that he is different from the one who emotionally crippled her and kept her from trusting and moving on in her life. Reid, being patient and just showing up, hopes to have a chance with his dream girl, Bellamy. Kaylee Ryan’s Learn the Play (Nashville Rampage Book 3) brings the drama, with tender moments and romance all mixed in, creating an incredible romance that is both emotionally healing and sigh-worthy, with a satisfying HEA. I love reading Kaylee Ryan’s books, as no matter what she writes, the reader knows the book picked up will be hot, steamy, and an enjoyable read. ,
