Courage for a Soldier is Book 2 of the Rescue and Restoration series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine, forced-proximity, curvy girl gets her military man romance. Griffin is a hunky, slightly grumpy, somewhat reclusive ex-military man who suffers from anxiety and PTSD. He works in cyber security and also helps at the local animal shelter. Victoria "Vic" is a sweet and curvy ray of sunshine that works in graphic design. She is home helping at her family's diner while her sister is on maternity leave. When Griffin sees her at the diner, he is immediately drawn to her. A few weeks later, they end up working together for the shelter to pick up some dogs and end up together at a hotel waiting out a storm. Things get pretty hot and steamy, but Griffin is afraid he's too damaged. Can Vic show him that she is all in and not going anywhere. These two were perfect for each other. They accepted each other as they were, had hot chemistry, and we got a great HEA. This was my first book by this author, but it was definitely not the last. I loved it.
