Brooklyn Monroe is doing just fine, thank you very much. She’s running the family business in her hometown and enjoying spending time with her nieces and nephew. Sure, she wouldn’t mind finding a special someone with whom she could spend the long nights, but Brooklyn’s not in any rush to settle for someone who doesn’t make her heart race. Then Wyatt Hudson comes into her café.

Wyatt grew up in Starlight Valley. He wrote his first songs in that town, sitting next to a beautiful girl who captured his heart. But a tragedy tore them apart, and it’s been eight years since Wyatt has seen Brooklyn. He’s gone on to have a wildly successful career as a musician and has traveled all over the world, making an insane amount of money along the way. Despite all his achievements, there is one thing missing in Wyatt’s life that he no longer wants to live without.

Brooklyn has no desire to become part of Wyatt’s world of fame and excess. She knows that being with Wyatt would mean risking a heartache that might never fade. When Wyatt asks her to help him find his voice again, Brooklyn can’t say no. Deep down, she can’t keep running from the only person who’s ever made her want to settle down. As Wyatt opens his world – and his heart – to Brooklyn, he reveals a deep secret that has the potential to destroy their second chance at a happy ending.

Will love truly conquer all, or will Brooklyn decide that protecting her own heart might mean breaking his?

Falling for You is a haunting and honest love story about two old friends finding their way back to each other and learning that the things that break us also make us stronger.

Falling for You by Juliet Keane was a different story and a nice change.

Wyatt, Ryder, and Brooklyn were high school friends in Starlight Valley. Brooklyn and Ryder were a couple with a troubled relationship that Brooklyn tried to hide. There a terrible accident that affected each of them differently (one more so than the other two).

Fast forward several years, Wyatt is now a world famous Rockstar and an alcoholic in partial recovery. He does a show in Starlight Valley, where Brooklyn came back to and settled down. There's strong heat between Wyatt and Brooklyn, but big problems, too, including Wyatt's alcoholism.

Besides Wyatt and Brooklyn, the cast of characters include a money hungry exploitative agent, a supportive alcoholic sponsor, deceased parent who's the catalyst for Wyatt's addiction.

The love story between Brooklyn and Wyatt is strong but fraught with issues that can make or break the strongest of couples.

I found this story refreshing as the hero was actively dealing with his alcoholism. Yes, it was plot mover, but Ms. Keane portrayed the acholic's path as the winding and bumpy path as happens in every real alcoholics life. There was sugar coating, of course, but she showed Wyatt as a fallible alcoholic.

I enjoyed the characters, the Rockstar lifestyle, the freshness of the story.

I loved this book from start to finish. Wyatt and Brooklyn were so easy to like. They were destined to be together despite the challenges that tore them apart.

They met freshman year of high school and became friends along with Ryder. They formed their own band and had big dreams. For whatever reason Brooklyn dated Ryder, but loved Wyatt. Tragedy tore them apart and Wyatt moved on to become a star and she went back home running the family’s cafe.

Wyatt has lived a dream life on the road performing but not without demons and challenges along the way. The one missing piece in his life has been her. Now he is back home to perform a concert in his hometown for the first time. It is his chance to get the woman he has always loved.

Brooklyn has dreams of traveling the world but for now has to settle for running the family cafe. She is completely unprepared for Wyatt to come home, let alone show up in her cafe. Once she sees him again her feelings can’t be denied.

I loved their story and the way it was told. They each had some things to work through and the fact that they did it together was refreshing. Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
