Me and the Devil could be a chilling horror story, weaving elements of supernatural dread and psychological terror. Here is a possible description. The story follows a troubled protagonist, consumed by guilt and despair after making a pact with the devil in a desperate bid for power, wealth, or revenge.The devil, not a mere metaphor but a dark, tangible entity, appears when least expected, often in the form of a mysterious stranger or a shadowy figure. This figure haunts the protagonist, offering twisted bargains and pushing them further into darkness.

As the protagonist battles inner demons, their actions become increasingly erratic and immoral, drawing them into a spiral of madness. Their world begins to blur between reality and nightmare, with the devil appearing at the edges of their vision or in their dreams, constantly reminding them of their pact. Every choice becomes a test of their soul, and with each passing day, they realize the price of their deal was far more than they ever anticipated.

With every encounter, the protagonist is pushed to confront their darkest fears and deepest regrets. In a climactic confrontation, the protagonist must decide whether they can break free from the devil's hold or if they are forever bound to the consequences of their choices.

The story explores themes of guilt, moral corruption, the corrupting power of temptation, and the inescapable consequences of dealing with dark forces. The devil is not only an external presence but also a reflection of the protagonist's inner turmoil, making Me and the Devil a gripping, psychological horror tale that leaves readers questioning the cost of making deals with dark powers.

Shubham made his debut in the world of publishing with this book in 2012, while studying in NIT Jaipur's engineering program.
