My life was rich, famous, happy, and sort of in love - until that demon was forced into my life. Romeo 2.0 isn't just any droid; he's impossibly humanlike, dangerously possessive, and disturbingly irresistible.
He claims to love me, to protect me, but his presence stirs the darkness I've buried deep inside. With every touch, every word, he unearths the pieces of me I'd rather forget, breaking down the walls I swore would never fall. As my world collapses into chaos, he's both my shield and my captor, the only thing standing between me and annihilation.
And with every secret that surfaces, I'm torn between the safe illusion of love and the raw, dangerous pull I feel for a monster who shouldn't exist.

Endley Tyler writes over-the-top, pitch-black dark romance for readers who like their love stories toxic, obsessive, and impossible to put down.
Her books are intense, taboo, fast-paced, and unapologetically messy, featuring morally gray men, damaged heroines, possessive obsession, jealousy, dominance, danger, and relationships that should probably come with warning labels.
If you like dark romance that pushes limits, ruins your sleep, and makes you question your own standards, welcome home.
I was really intrigued by the premise of this book, but the execution lacked depth that was required here. Overall, I enjoyed the fast pace and the action, as well as the world building. The romance, such as it is, lacked depth and MC's interaction felt repetitive. They kept going in circles of "I will never love you, let me go; just wait you will love me eventually" and so on and so forth. I appreciate that the FMC was quite flawed. She was spoiled and shallow as well as completely dependent on technology. There's a history of trauma that could've been explored quite a bit more. Especially, since that trauma illuminates the FMC's behavior. At the same time, the impact of certain MMC's actions didn't feel explored and acknowledged in the light of that trauma. All in all, this is the type of story that could've been really impactful on both the intellectual and emotional level if it had sufficient depth. There were certain brilliant moments in addition to the interesting premise that kept me turning the pages.

FMC is an influencer with a robot husband. Then, one day, she’s told to get rid of her husband because the AI company wants to give her a new one. She fights, of course, but that means nothing.
This new husband is very human and not a submissive servant. One thing leads to another and their first sexual encounter is when he rapes her in front of other robots until she blacks out. There’s no body betrayal here, folks.
Then the world goes to shit as robots launch a rebellion. The MCs and a few others (included the FMCs ex husband), escape and try not to be killed. Romeo, the MMC, is also a killing machine. Eventually, everyone in their party dies. It’s also revealed that the MMC was constructed using parts of the man who raped the FMC years ago because his creator was a massive incel who hated women. The other half of him is a robot who was obsessed with the FMC and went to her fan events. Incels galore.
There’s tons of non-con here. Not hot non-con either. Only towards the end does the MMC do anything but like immediately penetrate her. One of the people in the party keeps telling the FMC she’s developing Stockholm Syndrome and it pisses the MMC off so bad lmaooo
This is a book where the incels won and the FMC is traumatized into loving a robot who treats her like ass. I know this is marketed as a dark romance, and I guess it was just too dark for me idk. I didn’t buy the romance and the spice wasn’t for me (give me body betrayal or forced orgasms or SOMETHING where he wants to actually make her feel good even if she doesn’t want it. Any kind of foreplay, really).

Things I appreciated: I thought Ariella’s entitlement was humorous. She was well-written, complex, and even relatable at times. I loved both Antin and Kiko. And Romeo, well, I at least felt something. I guess he’s like art. What’s important is that you’ll feel strongly towards him (good or bad). I enjoyed the world building. Overall, I thought the plot was unique and easy to follow.
Things I didn’t appreciate: Despite the author’s closing thoughts, I didn’t really see Romeo as redeemable by the end. Maybe bc all of the “groveling” was done by Ariella, and well, there was a lot Romeo should’ve been sorry for. The story wraps up feeling a little too incel-apologetic in my opinion, which was a turn off. And lastly, though it’s labeled a dark romance, I don’t really recall anything that was truly romantic. An interesting cautionary tale, nevertheless.
This could have been a really good book, it has a decent set up. I went into this trying to keep an open mind especially considering its pitch black. I read the trigger warnings and was expecting the rape scene mentioned in TW (which ended up being multiple by the MMC, & I do mean legit rape not Dub Con or CNC). I got past that. However having the FMC apologize to her rapist at the end for "making" them rape her was just to much for me. It doesn't matter if the Author writes a footnote claiming she knows all the wrong is on the rapist, what she did was still victim blaming. I've blacklisted this Author on all my platforms and won't ever consider reading another of her books. Anyone with that mentality doesn't deserve my support.
Gripping, can't put it down read! I am already a sucker for androids and life like robots and feel they need to make romance about ai! Thank you Endley you have never disappointed me! Great author and great book
I love robot/android/Cyborg stories, so I was stoked to read this. I really liked the premise, and I feel like it has a lot of potential. It read a little bit more like a first draft, lacking some depth. Regardless, it was still an enjoyable, darker themed read.
