In this heartfelt, cozy novella sequel to 'Love on the Line', Blake and Sierra’s story continues as they begin to settle into married life. Just as they start to feel confident in their new routine, life throws some abrupt and unexpected curveballs their way. As they navigate these challenges, they learn to lean on each other and their faith, growing stronger together to face whatever comes next.
Home on the Line is a sequel to Love on the Line. While you may be able to enjoy this as a standalone, I definitely think readers will get the most out of the story by reading in order--- both to have a little more understanding of some of the characters being a short read, but also to avoid potential spoilers.
This was such a sweet read... and quite different than the romances that we typically see. Unlike those stories where we get to see the characters fall in love for the first time, this one picks up when Blake and Sierra are already married and learning to work through life together (though we do get a few flashbacks to those earlier days too). As much as I love those meet cutes and first kisses, I absolutely believe that the real love stories are found when they're put through the fire and come out on the other side... it's in those moments of going through life together and facing the struggles... and I thought Blake and Sierra's story showed that very well. It was a super short read--- easily read in just one sitting but packed an emotional punch in those pages just the same. While this story ultimately has a happily ever after and messages of faith and healing, it is important to note that it does deal with a miscarriage and the grief that comes with that. As someone who has experienced recurrent miscarriages, I thought the topic was handled with sensitivity.
Home on the Line is a closed-door Christian romance with subtle fade-to-black between a married couple. It does have one minor curse word.
**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.
Home On The Line was a quick read, following the lives of Blake and Sierra from the previous book. I’d call it tiny but mighty.
Like some of the other reviewers mentioned, it’s probably best to read Love On The Line first to get more context but this novella can certainly hold its own.
My attention was hooked from beginning to end and I thought Jordan handled the delicate subjects in this book with grace.
The faith based aspect of the book is a big plus for me! It is really nice to read about couples who trust in the Lord even through the some of the hardest parts of their marriage.
I really love the endings to Jordan’s books so far. This one in particular was wrapped up in such a sweet way, it almost left me in happy tears but I won’t post any spoilers!
Absolutely adored this novella of Blake & Sierra! I loved seeing them grow in their marriage and seeing more of their story together while they were dating.
I also was so excited to see some glimpses of Kayce and Wrenley and how they’re doing in their current season of life!
Jordan Riley does such a great job when it comes to character development in her books. So many of their struggles of navigating dating & marriage and personal insecurities are so relatable! I’ve loved watching all of these characters grow personally and together.
All in all, this was the perfect novella. It had enough excitement & plot to keep you interested the entire time!

Guys if you couldn’t tell I’m a bit obsessed with @jordanriley.author’s books!!! Here is another amazing story! This novella, of Love on the Line, was a very short but sweet read. This book was sooo good. It follows Sierra and Blake’s married life. I loved how Jordanriley showed some of the struggles of married life with Blake working longgg days and Sierra being a teacher, you see some of their struggles with not having a lot of quality time together. I can’t say too much without spoilers but this book was amazing and I highly recommend you guys reading it!
another cute little story with a happy ending that also showcases that no ones life is perfect and that couples fight. it’s normal. although, sometimes these couples fight a lottttttt. anyhow, this book does discuss miscarriages, but i personally feel like the events of the miscarriage and then them wanting to try for a baby immediately after was unrealistic, especially since she was depressed and hating her life to all of a sudden being magically better because her husband finally wanted to start trying. after that, it was a sweet story and i love the faith representation and the prayers and the reminders to trust God in every aspect of life! bravo to jordan as an author!
I loved Blake and Sierra’s story! And I also loved how this novella is tied into the author’s latest series.
I may have enjoyed this novella more than Love on the Line 🙈😅BECAUSE Blake and Sierra remind me of my husband and I! So it felt a little more personal and sentimental to me. And more relatable! My husband also was a farm hand, and the hours were horrible and hard! We were newly married and I also felt alone! So I could relate to Sierra in that aspect.
Such a sweet story and I’d highly recommend reading it if you enjoyed Love on the Line ❤️
This story tackles the obstacles that some couples might face as they start the journey or marriage, and parenthood.
As someone who has gone through a miscarriage that was very similar to Sierra’s I found the story very relatable. Her emotions, and Blake’s, in response were very accurate.
I didn’t expect the little twist with the job issues, but again, it paints an accurate picture of how that usually goes down.
Of course in the end all are happy, and everything works out.
Such a good little novella. I feel like Jordan did a wonderful job with such a sensitive and hard topic. I was torn between wanting more of their story and loving how it all came together. Sierra and Blake had such an interesting story. Seeing them work through all their issues and Sierras past/insecurities was so good to watch. The novella was short but I think it had a big impact on the storyline.🩵

I was so blessed be to able to read the Acr for this book and it was amazing! I absolutely love Sierra and Blake! A lot of there relationship reminds me of my husbands and I.
I’m so happy for sierra and Blake, they really are met for each and their little family!
Thank you Jordan Riley for letting me read this arc and thank you for writing, you are amazing! God bless you!
I loved Blake and Sierra in Love On The Line so I knew this short story based on them would be amazing. Following their story from childhood friends to a married couple with real struggles was so realistic and emotional. Their story was such a joy to read and I loved their happy ending. Adored seeing more of Wrenley and Kayce as well!
This is the novella that goes hand in hand with Love on The Line! This story is following Blake & Sierra (brother & best friend to Wren in first book) 🧡
This is a novella so it’s short and I loved it! Easy to get through of course, i read this early morning one day and was crying & then i finished it. I wished these two got an actual book and opportunity to be highlighted because i think this story would have been so much better than Wren’s if im honest….🫢
A sequel to Love On The Line, definitely recommend reading the first book to know a little more about them.
I love how Blake and Sierra help each other and support each other throughout their relationship. Especially when facing something unexpected. Then when change comes there way they face it on full force with full support.
I love this book, was written well and also hit home for me. ❤️
HOTL kinda redeemed Blake a little for me. I loved his and Sierra’s little story! Such a sweet read. Just like Wren and Kayce, this couple, while their relationship/marriage may have started out all sweet, they definitely faced some not so sweet trials along the way to their HEA. But keeping God at the forefront helped them along their journey and showed them everything is all apart of His timing. TW: Miscarriage
This book had me in all the feels & I didn’t want to stop reading
This book felt incredibly real, deeply emotional and completely captivating. Jordan beautifully portrays the reality of marriage- the highs, the lows, the tough decisions, and the late nights. I loved watching as Blake & Sierra navigate these challenges while continuing to love each other while trusting God's plan through it all.
Not to mention we got a few glimpses at our favorite couple from Love on the Line - speaking of which, I would recommend reading LOTL first just to get a idea of Blake & Sierra so you can be cheering for them from the start!
This was an arc read, but all opinions are my own
