Reign of the Glittering Flames is everything I crave in romantasy: rich world-building, complex characters, and a new firey book boyfriend.
The world is full of magic, twists, and turns, but the heart of this story is Reign herself. Her struggles with trauma, identity, and the power of choice resonated deeply. DnD girlies will love all of the little references and Easter eggs, but there’s something here for all book lovers.
If you love fantasy romances that are character-driven, a little dark, but keeps you laughing and on your toes, Reign of the Glittering Flames is a must-read.

SPOILER-FREE REVIEW!!!!
The best way I can describe this book is that it gave me that rare feeling of discovering a completely original world and being instantly hooked. It reminded me why I love getting lost in a great story.
It’s such a refreshing twist on the tropes we love; a story with a voice and vision that felt completely its own. The world building was seamlessly woven in, never overwhelming, no info-dumping, just effortlessly immersive.
- Fated Mates done in a completely unique and captivating way
- Found family, including lovable side characters that I can't WAIT to see more of
- The perfect amount of spice... and executed flawlessly (in my opinion, this can make or break a book for me... and Elizabeth Starling is a woman of the people 🙏)
- This man... THIS MAN.
- I also loved the FMC so much. She was a badass with strong divine feminine energy.
What stood out to me most is how thoughtful the writing felt- like every detail had purpose, but nothing was overexplained. It trusted the reader to follow along, and that made me even more invested. The emotional beats hit just right, the romantic tension was tense in the best way, and the pacing had that “just one more chapter” energy. I was shocked by the twists in this story, but nothing felt random either. The way the threads all came together in the end was genuinely a rush I haven't felt in a long time.
If you love fantasy romance that balances plot, spice, and character depth, do yourself a favor and read this when it hits the shelves!!
Already counting down the days for when I can add a physical copy to my bookshelf!

WOW!! I am so pleasantly surprised with this book and how hooked I got. This romantasy is just the beginning of a thrilling series that is full of surprise, romance, and turns of fate. I’ll be hanging on the edge of my seat waiting for the sequel!

A pure, salacious delight!!!!!! Made me fall in love with fantasy again after a bit of a slump. The authors ability to storyteller and set a scene is unparalleled i felt like she was walking me through the story by a campfire and i was engrossed the entire time. Read it. Read it. Read it.

I genuinely appreciate the author providing this e-arc for review. This was an absolutely inventive concept for a book. The last 25% of the book wove the story together in such a beautiful way, we were given all these bits and pieces throughout the story and I loved seeing them all come together.
The magic system is unique, which is always a refreshing change. I really enjoyed seeing how Reign's magic changed throughout the story as well. It was fun to see how different beings were able to use magic. The world-building was another unique aspect to the story. I felt largely comfortable with the descriptions of the 9 realms, but I could have used more in depth information on those realms and the human world. Especially as it's relating to magic.
There was one aspect of the story that gave me an ick, but I decided to trust the process and was well rewarded with this story. That part fits into the story eventhough it largely made me uncomfortable at the time. I feel as though that was just a me issue, it didn't make me want to stop reading the story. The pacing and some of the plotting for this story was clunky. Like these incredibly slow moments were placed during what should have been a fairly tense time. That aspect didn't hit for me. And once again that may just be a me thing. The whole thing had an aura of chaos to it. It could have been a brilliant book, unfortunately it didn't hit for me in the way I wanted it to.

This was such a surprising 5-star read for me! I don't usually expect a lot from reads where they go to the nine circles and mess around with demons. The ones I've read, while good, are pretty predictable. Not this one!
This world was seamlessly woven together with beautiful characters that I wanted to explore more and more. This world was completely immersive and well-balanced. The romance came about naturally with a beautiful amount of tension,banter, inner monologue, and growth for both characters.
I had such a hard time putting this book down, and I truly hope you give it a chance to 'wow' you like it did me! ❤️

Fans of D&D and fantasy romance will likely appreciate the thoughtful magic system and solid world-building. I particularly enjoyed the sections at the magic school, though I wished we could have spent more time exploring this fascinating setting.
While there are many positive elements to the story, I found that the main couple's relationship develops rather quickly, which sometimes made it difficult to fully connect with their journey together. The supporting characters have interesting potential, though I wanted to learn more about the main character's mother and would have enjoyed more interactions with her best friend Freda.
Overall, this is an enjoyable blend of magic, adventure, and romance that provides an entertaining escape for fantasy readers. Thank you to Seven Sisters Fables for providing the eARC.

Upon a reread I must award this book with 6 ⭐️’s.
First and foremost, my jaw was ON THE FLOOR from the plot twist!! This book single-handedly reignited my faith in the Romantasy genre. If you're a fan of Kerri Maniscalco and/or the magic that is Kingdom of Ash, Reign of the Glittering Flames will be your next 5-star read. That's a hill I'll die on (I don't claim to die on many hills).
The magic system was super unique (to me) and so fun to learn about. There was the perfect amount of world-building that left me intrigued without ever feeling too "info-dumpy". We love a bad ass FMC that doesn't take any shit, but pair that with an MMC that will do anything to help her become her best self? Basically, I was swooning from the second they met.
I could also tell that the author thought through the side characters really well, giving them depth, personality, and leaving the reader with a great deal of curiosity about their stories. I need book 2 pronto!!
The only problem with this book, is now I'm looking for a black cat, my soul mate, and "one round trip to the Fire Circle, please!". Highly reccomend (:

I recommend this to anyone who enjoyed the ACOTAR series! Reign of the Glittering Flames does a fantastic job of building a new world filled with magic and creatures of your fantasy dreams. And, the characters are well-developed, which makes you actually root for them and invest in their journeys. The new mechanics for magic were fun and different from anything I've read before, and reading how the characters took part in their own destinies had me HOOKED. I could read many more books about these characters and I can't wait for more!

This book was an absolute blast! If you're anything like me and live for a male main character who is utterly, completely devoted to his female counterpart, then you are in for a treat. This MMC takes devotion to a whole new level – he'd burn the world down for his love, and even better, he'd hand her the match if that's what she wanted. For fans of fated mates and soulmate romances, this is an undeniable must-read. You won't be disappointed!

This book was a perfect blend of romance, fantasy, and a bad ass female main character that doesn’t need to be rescued (but still appreciates being protected). There must be a book two!!!
