Darius Mackenzie is the first gay, African-American player drafted to the NFL. After starting with the team, he experiences discrimination in the locker room, which crushes his spirit. It’s not until he meets fellow gay, closeted player Carlos Cortez that he finds the strength to persevere.
But Darius’s newfound friendship with Carlos causes trouble at home with his longtime boyfriend, Tanner Smith. Tanner’s always worried that Darius is going to leave him for someone better—or another player. To show Tanner that Carlos is just a friend, Darius invites Carlos over to dinner.
When Carlos misinterprets Darius’s friendly dinner invitation as an invitation for something more, will Darius and Tanner’s relationship survive?
