She and her husband live delightfully close to their four grandchildren in Lexington, South Carolina. Lord, I Believe: 60 Devotions for Your Troubled Heart by Lori Hatcher is a powerful devotional for those who are faced with times of lack of faith. It could be because of grieving a loss of a loved one, a shattered dream or the overwhelming responsibilities to name a few. What is true is that many of us face these faith lacking feelings often. I so appreciated the focus on God and His Word in these short daily passages. Along with the written devotional is a focus thought (Embrace the Truth) and a course of action (Declare Your Faith). We all have difficult times in life Lori Hatcher’s Lord, I Believe is a wonderful and needed reminder we are never alone.

No matter how many books from Lori Hatcher I’ve read, she continues to create insightful, fresh content that speaks to everyone. In her latest Lord, I Believe, she wisely reminds readers of 60 strong beliefs they can name and live out. When our hearts are troubled, we sometimes forget the God who carries us. Here, though, the author reiterates transformative truths with charming life stories, relatable beliefs, and assurances galore. So many of my friends will be impacted by her heartwarming words and embrace who God meant them to be.

It's one thing to say we believe biblical truth about our relationship with God. However, Lori Hatcher's devotional, Lord, I Believe, offers gentle, relatable illustrations and applications that spoke to my mind and heart as she gently shares those truths. Each individual devotion became a hug from the Holy Spirit, reminding me that what I believe is not limited to words I say, but is also a heartfelt reality lived out day by day.

Lori Hatcher is gifted with the ability to make stories and situations—from two thousand or so years ago—seem like they happened last week. Outside of the settings, the themes are evergreen timeless. Bad things happen and we all need hope. Lord, I Believe shares a lot of hope.
