Herbs and Spices: Natural Health Benefits by Anil Jaya Love this book because with the way we eat now-no salt we rely on spices at every meal. What I liked about this book is it lists many aspects of the spice we hadn't realized. Each spice is broken up into sections: summary of what the spice is, cultivating the spice, nutrient and medical value also with how to use it in foods and what it will go best with. Easy to look up a spice as they are alphabetically arranged. Not sure why a different author name is listed. A KEEPER!
This book is easy to understand and a good basic resource on the uses of herbs and spices. It is a well done overview for the average person of the most commonly seen herbs plus it covers some that are less well known .
