This was a bit of a different vibe to other Laura Carter books I have read but in a great way. While there were elements of romance, the focus is predominantly on female friendships and relationships with particular focus on building and repairing oneself as well. The three PoVs felt like a lot at times because I didn’t feel like I fully delved deep enough into any one of the main character’s lives. There were definitely aspects I wish were developed further as a result of this; such as the growing friendship between Nayomi and Maggie, the romances and the rekindled friendship with Emily at the end. Overall, the themes of friendship, finding your true self and self belief made for an enjoyable read.
I really loved this story! Working through the aftermath of a great loss. The idea that sometimes a huge change puts you on the right path meant for you instead of just going with the flow like you were. Analyzing your life and if you are still doing what makes you happy. This book had such a beautiful message as you follow 3 different women whose lives become intertwined into their future.
