As other reviewers have said, it is a very quick book. I’m not a big fan of the second act break up or the misunderstandings they can easily talk through. while reading the book I kept skipping pages to get to the point. A lot of of it was a lot of eye rolling, I get it, he’s muscular, as I can’t believe some of the things the author set up. The drug with no adverse effects, the cheesy mayor, the father, the brother, it had gotten to the point where I was like, honey, There are too many villains. Again, you have to suspend reality, which you often do when you read a book, but there got to the point where I was just rolling my eyes every other page.
Amazing! Such a great story. I love the Beauty and the Beast premise but it’s definitely not the Disney version. There are similarities. Beast is huge and cranky and Belle is light and love and just a little sassy. We get club girls, old ladies and bikers in place of animated furniture but the heart and loyalty that they feel for Beast is still there. Oh and we can’t forget Gaston. He is handsome and slimy but where the Disney villain was mostly a bully, Ms. Dee’s version is evil, soulless and calculating. He doesn’t have an ounce of remorse in his body and we didn’t have to wait until the final battle with Beast to see his true nature. Yep, not a G rated Disney story but wow, it sure is a fabulous read! I’m wishing for more!
DNF@22% I have put down and picked this book up twice and it's just not working for me. I don't like Belle at all and from reviews I've read she doesn't get better. I love Beauty and the Beast, and this should have been perfect for me. Beast is 7 foot and scarred, yes please. I would have preferred Belle to be a sweet virgin with a backbone. Not an annoying I'm so tough woman.
Good read! My one and only complaint I just have no more patience for the h’s stubbornness because most times it goes on far too long and I feel I get bored!
My Review: I really enjoyed this book! It gave me major Beauty and the Beast vibes, but with a deliciously dark twist. The FMC, Belle, is fierce, feisty, and not afraid to stand her ground, which I absolutely loved. And Beast? Well, he definitely lives up to his name as the brooding, beastly club president. The dynamic between the two was electric! ❤️ One of my favorite parts was how all the characters were inspired by Disney but with a dark, edgy twist. That added such a fun layer to the plot. The plot was addictive, the pacing was spot on, and the spice? Chef’s kiss—top-notch! 🔥 Now, I need the rest of the club’s stories ASAP, especially Lars! I can't wait! 🙌
Boring, unoriginal, too many over used tropes. I despise the sassy, back talking, bitchy FMCs who act no different than the whores and feel entitled to know everything especially when she's told it's off limits. DNF@36%.
I was excited to read this Beauty and the Beast retelling, but unfortunately, I'm disappointed after reading 55% of the story.
From the beginning, I felt this FMC Belle character was off. I know the original Belle from B&B as clever, strong, well-respected, intelligent, and graceful. She wasn't stupid or helpless; she approached everything with grace and challenged everything, never backing down from saying no.
Fmc's introduction involves slut shaming due to an incident where her employer (OM) tongue-kissed her while she worked as a nanny, and she didn't resist, an act witnessed by his wife. Despite feeling pity for the wife, I continued reading. Later, the villain's introduction includes an attempted rape, and Fmc doesn't fight back much, which is inconsistent with Belle's character, who is typically more resilient. This inconsistency irritated me like hell.
My mistake, again I started reading... When the MMC (the Beast) threatened her with marriage and acted like an asshole, she gave up too easily. Especially the scene where he told her to remove her top in front of him, and she readily complied and cuddled with him. Then, a few chapters later, he started commanding, ordering and Fmc's blah blah talks about wanting to fuck him or begging him to fuck her or kiss her, doesn't sound like that iconic character Belle.
Well, Beauty and the Beast is a classic love story where Belle falls for Beast eventually because of the way he treated her, respected her boundaries and inner self, even though she agreed to held captive but she wasn't surrendered completely, her self-respect remained the same. This version portrays a relationship built on honesty and mutual exploration of inner beauty, making their connection compelling, it's like they both were exploring and finding the beauty and beast within them.
In this story, the male lead is an asshole, and the female lead is stupid. While she uncovers the secret West Side room around 86% of the way through which means his reason for marrying her remains hidden throughout. This contrasts with epic love stories like Beauty and the Beast, where the male lead shows respect and tenderness because of this, the lack of such qualities makes it difficult to believe his declaration of love at 91% ''I ALWAYS LOVED YOU'', If he loved her and was obsessed over her, then why he was behaving terribly towards her between 30% and 55%? This inconsistency makes me hard to understand.
There was a sweet sacrifice in the original Mmc's love, poetically rendered as follows;
''He let her go, though it broke him apart, For love means freedom, not holding a heart. And when she returned, he found his peace; She asked him, "why did you let me go?'' He tenderly kissed her and replied, ''I let you go because ... I love you.''
This type of magic was missing. Here, the Mmc talks to Belle like this... " What the fuck are you doing" ''Do this .. that''

This is the first book in a new series, and this is Beast and Belle’s story. Beast is a giant of a man who is the President of The Knights of St Bon MC, and he is haunted by past demons. Belle is feisty and sassy, and after collecting her uncle who has a gambling addiction from a casino, they are attacked on the streets, and Beast comes to their rescue, not just one but twice. Beast has met his match with Belle who gives him a run for his money, but she marries him so that he can keep his president position as per club rules. This is a well written action packed story, with family dynamics, friendships, emotions, danger, suspense, intrigue, secrets, loyalty, enemies / lovers, forced proximity, touch her and die vibes, an arranged marriage, and love, which leads to an entertaining, spicy, tragic, twisted, and dark romance which is a retelling of Beaty and the Beast’s story. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Holy moly, what an awesome book to start this new series! When I heard this author was writing a Knights of St Boniface MC series using fables I was intrigued and I can one hundred percent say she has succeeded brilliantly.
This dark story has a slight resemblance to the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ tale, the character names in particular, and their ‘good or evil’ roles. However, that’s where the similarity ends and the carefully crafted storyline begins with this unique tale enabling readers to experience its fantastic entertainment and enjoyment.
The lead characters, Belle and Beast, were perfect for each other and their chemistry was unbelievable. At first, I thought Belle might have been a bit low in confidence but hold the phone, she had such a feisty nature, letting others know in no uncertain terms what she would accept and what she wouldn’t accept that she definitely was like a breath of fresh air.
Beast was quite a complicated character, as one would expect given the fable, however, as each layer was unveiled I couldn’t help but like him more and more. He was loyal to his club, super protective, and caring.
There are so many twists and turns in the story, which I loved, that just when you think things will calm down in the drama and action department—nope, more happens to make this story extra exciting. At times my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest I was so anxious. When reading a book and I feel involved at this level I know it’s a great book.
I didn’t know what to expect when first reading about Beast. Well, let me tell you, he’s my newest book boyfriend. Belle is a beautiful young woman who lives and takes care of her Uncle Maurice. Her Uncle is the only family she has left and she would do anything for him. Beast is a complex man and the President of his MC. His past has scarred him both physically and emotionally, until he sees Belle. Belle awakens something in Beast and as the story unfolds you will learn how Beast and Belle’s past are connected. This is a story full of twist and turns and just when you think you have everything figured out, a new twist has you thinking otherwise. Read the book and let it take you on a journey of mystery and true love.
IYKYK—there’s nothing more exciting than a retelling of my favorite princess story, and this one absolutely delivered.
The MMC completely stole the show for me. A 7-foot, long-haired biker gangster with a soft heart, fierce loyalty, and that forever kind of love? Yes, please. He’s possessive in all the best ways and balances danger with tenderness perfectly.
I loved how the story wove in nods to the original tale while still carving out its own unique identity. The guaranteed happy ending didn’t take away from the suspense at all—I still found myself eagerly turning the pages. And let’s just say, the twist caught me completely off guard in the best way.
The side characters were equally intriguing and left me wanting more from this world. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for the next installment in this series.
A solid, swoony, and twisty retelling I couldn’t put down.
I truly loved this book! Beast (Adam) was such a complex character. Belle was such a kind person but as we find out she can be tough in her own way. We even have a Gaston, a truly evil person. This book has it all. The town is full of mysterious drugs with a corrupt mayor. There is so much going on and Ms. Dee in her amazing ways weaves it all together. I wish I could say more but I do not want to give anything away. I received an ARC from the author but this is my honest review 5 stars. I also bought a copy for my very own. Please read this book. You will enjoy it!
What a great start to this new series. Beast is a story loosely based on Beauty and the Beast. Belle is our Beauty. She has no problem standing up to Beast, the president of the Knights of St Bon. She is sassy and is not afraid to speak her mind. To pay her uncle’s gambling debt, she agrees to marry Beast. Can Belle and Beast keep their feelings for each other hidden? There are many surprises in this book, some of which I never saw coming. My favorite is how Belle shows her loyalty and love for Beast and his MC club. She is truly his soulmate.
Quickie Review: What an amazing read. It literally kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. What I thought was going to happen ended up going a totally different direction. And I loved being proved wrong. It made for a fantastic ending and the most amazing story. Thank you Penny Dee for absolutely blowing my mind. The story is an absolute favorite of mine. Something I find try true after finishing one of her books. 5 (hundred) Stars!
What a great take on Beauty and the Beast story done with the right amount of the MC lifestyle. Beast is the President of The Knights of St Bon MC and lives up to his name. Belle is a woman who takes care of her uncle who happens to have a gambling problem.
This author spun this fairytale making it a fantastic MC read that had me turning pages as fast as I could.
For a Beauty and the Beast retelling this wasn’t horrible. Do I wish they didn’t have the same names? Yeah a little bit. But it’s an easy read, kind of absurd plot at times but it was fun overall.
This storyline is intriguing, so you keep reading. It's not an all-out war between 2 clubs, but the animosity is there. It's the connector that is the real threat. The characters are dynamic and multifaceted, and you get drawn into their lives and connections. It's not the usual for an MC book, but it works so well and shows another side of things. Loved the storyline, but for me, I would have like a little more between the main antagonist and our MC.
It had some good twists and chemistry and villains kept me reading, but towards the end it was mostly Belle repeatedly saying how great Beast's man part is. She seriously kept repeating how great his body was, but we didn't get a lot of him saying the same about her.
But I grew numb to it after a few pages of her saying the same things and was just skimming it until she -SPOILERS- tells him she is pregnant and it is a girl. Now, when did she find this out because she was constantly by his side after he nearly died. But I was like okay, the time is just passing weird because it seemed like they hadn't been married long. Then she tells her old boss that she probably won't go back to being a nanny because she is having one of her own and rubs the small swell in her stomach. Then it cuts to 7 months later and her water breaks and she gives birth. So that means she was 2 months along when she told him it was a girl. But you can't really see the sex of a baby until you are at least 11-12 weeks with most doctors waiting until nearly 16 weeks for a better chance of a correct answer.
So how in the world was she showing and already know the sex of the baby at 8 weeks? Most women don't even know they are pregnant, which is what makes all the abortion bans in the USA so scary because some states are lowering the cut off to 8 weeks. Spreading things like this can be dangerous because there are people who read this and will think its the truth. I know a lot of us know how to suspend our reality, but some people don't. Plus it was just really annoying because I told my husband and son how it annoyed me with the misinformation and they said it was written by someone who has never had kids or a man writing as a woman. I said in either case, there should be an editor or beta reader who is like this math ain't mathing. It really turned an okay read to an annoying one.
DNF at 38%. Belle was soooo annoying. Someone comes in, saves you from attempted rape, saves your dumb AF uncle who has a gambling problem and wipes his debts.. so how do you repay this huge gesture? Just being an annoying sniping B nonstop. Cool. Not the Belle I wanna read about.
