I have begun reading the author's series regarding Lew Griffin. The series has a different twist to them than other crime noir books. The lead character is not a person who you would admire. However, for all his faults he tries his best to help those who come to him for help. The author also paints for us the darker side of the Big Easy. I recommend this book without hesitation.
