Someone, Somewhere #2

Something to Someone

Rate this book
She’s eleven years older and all he’s ever wanted. Oh, and his mom’s best friend.

With college graduation imminent, Ryder Calaway is only looking forward. A new job and a new apartment are on the horizon, but his version of the future also includes Caroline Grant—the woman he’s been pining after for eight long years and his mom’s best friend.

But Caroline is more focused on running her business than she is with her love life. Actually, she can’t even say the word “love” without cringing. Men are great for a night, but nothing more. It’s a rule that’s protected her once-broken heart and one she doesn’t plan to break.

Until an unexpected run-in with Ryder leaves her flustered. She’d guessed at his feelings—at his crush—but finally, he admitted in no uncertain terms that he wants her. And in the heat of the moment, she unwittingly confesses that the attraction isn’t one-sided.

Still, Caroline isn’t willing to bend her rule. But Ryder wants her anyway. Whatever she’s willing to give, he will humbly and eagerly accept. Making it impossible for Caroline to resist.

Because none of the reasons why it’s wrong make a difference when it feels so right.

Something to Someone hit me with way more emotion than I expected going in. It blends that “figuring your life out while everything feels slightly on fire” energy with a romance that sneaks up fast and hits surprisingly deep. The story has this raw, honest feel — messy choices, vulnerable moments, and characters who are clearly doing their best even when their best is… questionable.
The romance is where it really hooked me. The chemistry is strong from the start, the tension builds quickly, and the steamy moments feel earned without being overly dramatic. It’s the kind of connection that feels impulsive but real — two people grabbing onto each other at exactly the right (and wrong) time.
A few scenes drift into overthinking territory, and some conflicts resolve a little smoother than I expected, but the emotional payoff works. By the end it feels like a full arc: growth, mistakes, heat, and a relationship that feels like something they both fought for.

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Writing: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Characters: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Tropes, etc: Age Gap, Best Friend’s Son, No Strings Attached, He Falls First, Forbidden Love

POV: Dual, 1st Person

3rd Act Breakup?: Yes

Song Association: First Rodeo by Kelsea Ballerini

Brief Summary: Caroline hasn’t been interested in relationships in years, choosing to keep things casual instead. That all changes when her best friend’s son makes it clear that he’s interested in her.

The Praise: I loved Somewhere to Stay (it was one of my favorite books of 2024) so I’ve been dying for Caroline and Ryder’s story. The characters in this series are so lovable and relatable. I was so happy to get little glimpses of Natalie and Theo as well!

This book was also super steamy; Grace has a talent for writing fantastic sex scenes.

The Critique: There wasn’t a whole lot going on for Ryder and Caroline outside of each other, which made the story move a little slowly, in my opinion.

I also don’t love when a book’s epilogue isn’t centered around the main couple. To me, epilogues are a chance for me to see the couple once they’re settled in together and being domestic or whatever the story calls for, not for setting up the next book. I would’ve loved it if Grace had included Addison’s POV in a bonus chapter rather than using the epilogue.

Final Thoughts: I loved Ryder and Caroline together. And even with my thoughts on the use of the epilogue, I’m already dying for Addison’s story after just that one chapter.

I absolutely love any Grace Turner book and she's becoming one of those authors that you just have to read whatever she writes! I received this book as an ARC and I'm so glad I got to read it early. I fell in love with the first book in the series and couldn't wait to find out how Caroline and Ryder's story came about. This book didn't disappoint!

Ryder has had a crush on Caroline for quite some time until one day he has the guts to let her know his feelings, but unbeknownst to him Caroline has some of her own for him. Even those Ryder's mom, Natalie (from this first book), is Caroline's best friend and the struggle of right and wrong comes into play, the two embark on a steamy romance. They sneak around committing to the fact that this was just physical, nothing more is coming from this. That is until Ryder confesses it is more and his golden retriever ways start to melt Caroline's heart until she decides that maybe she might give him more of a chance, that is until her best friend and his mom finds out.

I love a man that professes his feelings and doesn't feel bad or ashamed of showing them. Ryder was that guy! He absolutely thought that Caroline hung the moon and she was everything, it just took her a bit to realize that she struck gold with him. He treated her so well and I just love stories like that! This book was great, spicy and sweet and I would highly recommend it. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would!

Well well well.
You may remember meeting Ryder and Caroline in Somewhere to Stay (the first masterpiece in Grace Turner’s “Someone, Somewhere” series…which is also a MUST READ).

Ryder is just finishing up college and is going after the thing that he wants most… Caroline. Caroline is 34 years old and his mother‘s best friend, and Ryder has had a thing for her for a very long time. He finally acts on his attraction, and Caroline gives in. The spice between these two is incredibly well written. I enjoyed the switch dynamic, even though that is something that is relatively new to me. Angst is VERY low (just the way I like it), there isn’t really a third act breakup (thank goodness 🙌🏽🙌🏽), and honestly it’s just well done. I promise you won’t be upset giving this book your attention. It’s totally worth it. Ryder is the BEST Golden retriever MMC

Trope: reverse age gap, mother’s best friend/best friend’s son

Kinks: 🍑 play, toys, switch play (they take turns dominating or submitting….very light on the D/S), all tied up, blind fold, sneaking around, no rubber after safe discussions had, peg-ing

Rating: 5/5 ⭐️

Spice: 5/5 🌶️

Kindle Unlimited: ✅ starting FEBRUARY 28th

Thank you for this absolutely wonderful ARC.

Ryder Callaway, you are so sweet and SO spicy. Something to Someone has such wonderful tenderhearted moments, witty banter, and some good old fashioned yearning. And yearning is the only old fashioned thing that occurs. Some of the spice is too much for me, personally. It goes outside of my little world and I’m not drawn to it, but I’m not one to discount a book just because *one* part of a scene wasn’t “for me”. But LET ME tell you…that pool scene. Get me a glass of ice water because I need to cool down. 🥵

I received an advance reader copy (ARC) of Somthing to Someone by Grace Turner in exchange for an honest review

I really enjoyed this book! The story was simple in the best way, no over-the-top, unbelievable plot twists, just a solid, well-written romance with relatable characters. Caroline was such a strong and compelling lead, and I loved how Ryder fell so hard for his crush. It was a fun twist on the “girl next door” trope… except in this case, the girl is his mom’s best friend. I won’t spoil more than that!

While I liked the romance, I personally connected more with Theo and Nathalie’s story from the first book, and I didn’t feel the same level of chemistry between Caroline and Ryder. That said, it was great to see Theo and Nathalie again, it made the story feel even more grounded in the series.

This book is definitely for readers who enjoy a LOT of spice, and Grace Turner writes it really well. Her style is engaging and refreshingly natural. She deserves to be much better known!

And after that epilogue, I’m so excited for the next book in the series!!

It's forbidden, it's spicy, it's got a great storyline. Caroline is best friends with Ryder's mum. She likes to keep things casual and he just wants her. Ryder didn't care about how they were forbidden, he was all in, Caroline took her time getting there. I loved this book.

Thanks to the author for an ARC copy! Be on the lookout for the release on 2/28/25!

This book had all the things you look for in a spicy romance! Reverse age gap, forbidden romance, hot and heavy tension, super steamy sex, fun kinks and banter, secrets, and characters you love! This was such a quick read for me and I can’t wait to see what she writes next!

I was waiting for this book since the ending of Book 1, which featured a different couple (Ryder's best friend and his mom). This one features Ryder with his mom's best friend, so maybe that was why I had high hopes.
Grace Turner delivered on all fronts, and I can't say I am disappointed on that, but compared to the first book, it just didn't set me on fire with emotions and giddiness to read more about Ryder and Caroline (and okay, Theo's book was so HOT).
I am lucky to be in her ARC team, even though, yes, unfortunately, I'm writing this review three months after I read the book. Regardless, I can't wait to see what the future has in store (or well, the author) for us, the readers, and I can't wait to read the next books in the series.
4.5 stars

ARC was provided by the author and via NetGalley (I didn't know if I was going to get it so I also requested it on NG) in exchange for an honest review. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Grace Turner once again proves her storytelling prowess in Something to Someone, the second book in her compelling series. While this novel stands strong on its own, its depth and emotional resonance will undoubtedly leave readers eager to explore Turner’s other works. With a seamless blend of passion, heart, and complexity, Something to Someone is a romance novel that goes beyond surface-level attraction, delving into themes of love, self-discovery, and emotional healing.

At its core, this book is about more than just romance—it’s about finding one’s place in the world and understanding the connections that truly matter. Turner crafts a narrative filled with rich character development, where each protagonist carries layers of history, pain, and hope. The chemistry between the main characters is undeniable, and their journey is equal parts heartwarming and heartrending. Turner expertly builds tension, creating moments of sizzling intensity while never losing sight of the deeper emotional stakes at play.

What makes Something to Someone particularly engaging is its ability to balance spice with substance. The romance is passionate, but it is grounded in genuine emotion, making the relationship feel authentic and deeply moving. Readers will find themselves invested in not just the love story but in the personal growth of the characters as they navigate their past wounds and fight for their future.

Turner’s writing is immersive, drawing readers in with vivid descriptions, sharp dialogue, and an undeniable emotional pull. The pacing is perfect—each chapter unravels a new layer, making it nearly impossible to put down. And just when you think you know where the story is heading, Turner ensures it ends with a bang, leaving readers satisfied yet still yearning for more.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of Grace Turner or discovering her for the first time, Something to Someone is a must-read. It’s a romance novel with depth, heat, and a story that lingers long after the final page. Turner has once again delivered a book that not only entertains but also resonates, proving that she is a force to be reckoned with in the genre.

Ever since discovering Grace Turner last year, she has quickly become one of my favorite authors since getting back into reading and I will always read anything that she writes. Something to Someone further solidifies that point! I received this book as an ARC and so glad that I was able to read this book early. I fell in love with Somewhere to Stay, the first book in the series, despite only spending a little time with Caroline and Ryder but the epilogue promised that we're going to get into their story.

Ryder has had a crush on Caroline for years and finally decides to act on them, letting them be known. On the other end, Caroline does her best to ignore the advances of her best friend's son; most of the reasoning coming from her past and not her lack of feelings. Even though Natalie, Ryder's mom and Caroline's best friend from the first book, and the struggle of right and wrong comes into play, I found myself rooting for Ryder and Caroline as they embarked on their secret, steamy romance.

Ryder is so sure of himself and his feelings that he will take any part of Caroline that she is willing to offer him, not fully pushing her at all as he knows her feelings are only under the surface. They sneak around the fact that this can only stay a physical relationship with nothing more coming from it until Ryder shoots his shot and confesses that he feels more for her and his golden retriever ways are able to wear down Caroline's walls that were build on heartbreak and tragedy.

I loved Ryder as a man who knows his feelings and isn't afraid to confess them with no shame. He thought Caroline as a queen and treated her as such. Caroline's character has so much depth compared to the happy woman who avoided attachments. It took her a while to realize that she had found the best partner for her in the younger man. The chemistry between the two was intense with the spice being so well-written. I enjoyed the switch dynamic, which was new to me to see from two main characters. Something to Someone is so well written and enjoyable with relatable characters, a credit to Grace Turner and her storytelling abilities. This book will not disappoint!

“I don’t just want to be something to someone. I want to be something to you.” 🪻

Grace Turner writes taboo, forbidden romances like no other! As always, her fast-paced, addictive writing hooked me from the start. I dropped everything the moment this hit my Kindle and stayed up way past my bedtime telling myself, “One more chapter..”

This second installment of the Someone, Somewhere series picks up from the epilogue of the first book, Somewhere to Stay. While it isn’t necessary to read the first book beforehand, I highly recommend doing so to understand Ryder’s longtime crush on Caroline and their dynamic. Also, you’ll better appreciate Theo’s and Natalie’s cameos in this book by first reading their story.

Caroline and Ryder were absolutely scorching. I loved the balance between Caroline’s hardened exterior and Ryder’s sweet, lovable energy and how that translated behind closed doors. 😏 But as much as Ryder would drop to his knees (literally) and do anything for her, he had Caroline just as equally wrapped around his finger. 😮‍💨

As hot as this couple was, they were just as wholesome. I loved the yearning in this book as Ryder had it bad for Caroline ever since he was a teenager. And the fact that he kept a framed photo of them on his nightstand before they were official?!! That little detail had me silently screaming, and my jaw actually dropped!

All in all, Something to Someone is a fun and spicy story full of tension, witty banter, and amazing characters. Thank you, Grace Turner, for the e-ARC! Something to Someone is coming to Kindle Unlimited on 2/28/2025!

P.S. The teaser of the next couple of the series has me SO excited for the final book! I’m so ecstatic over the change in scenery with the new setting. 🤩

I absolutely loved book one and knew I was gonna love book two….but boy oh boy did this blow me away. I am obsessed with anything and everything Grace writes, and this story just captured my heart and soul.

I absolutely loved the banter and chemistry between Ryder & Caroline. The tension and romance from the start was so beautiful. It really highlighted each of them and their strengths. I was already down bad for Theo in book one, but definitely give me some Ryder any day. I loved how he worshiped her, the respect and love he had for her, and just how thoughtful and down bad he was. He was confident without being cocky and I’m obsessed with her. I loved Caroline from book one, her sass and banter, being such a strong FMC but also has such a heart of gold and is truly beautiful. Together, their love and chemistry is everything and I could not get enough of them!!

What I love so much about Graves writing is her character and relationship development. You get to really know these characters, their hearts and souls, and I just felt so connected to them. When she writes spice, the heat is definitely turned up, but it’s also not just about the act but the emotional intimacy, the connection and the power that letting go and submitting or giving yourself to someone has. It’s a give and take from both partners and it’s so special and unique.

In her acknowledgements she states “They don’t need the other to be “complete,” but they want to be together because they make each other better.” and honestly this is just so beautiful and special and truly so incredible!

If you haven’t read any of Grace’s books, I highly recommend you adding her stories to you TBR!

And just shoutout to that epilogue, I and going feral for them and so excited to see what’s next !!

Thank you for the ARC Grace Turner. Book Release on Feb 28th, 2025.

I am still reeling -this book was amazing, and I'm floating in a haze of Caroline and Ryder. She's his mother's best friend and yet, despite the 11 yr age difference, they have this electric attraction and understanding of each other, which is incredible in how it comes to life. Although second book in the series, this can be read as a standalone (as I did).

This novel is very much focused on Caroline and Ryder and their interchanging power dynamic was so addictive, and also what makes this story so unique. The tension kept me on edge, the burn was BURNING...good lord, I was definitely sweating through this one. With the benefit of youth, Ryder is this bounding retriever of reckless confidence, energy and perseverance. He literally gets on his knees and crawls to her (SO HOT!) and yet, he knows when to take control in the relationship (also, VERY HOT). Caroline - older and wiser, but held back by a devastating back story that she battles against the pull of Ryder's affection and love.

I love Grace Turner's characters - they are multi-facted (bisexual MMC anyone ?), textured by diverse life experiences and interesting to read. It's never straight forward & I live for the switching energies. Interestingly, the taboo nature of their relationship isn't as central - because Book 1 of this series is the story of Ryder's mother and his best friend, which is also a reverse age gap novel & I suspect the one that broke the mold (and likely also, as hot).

Complete winner, don't miss this one.

“𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨? 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙨 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙠. 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙛𝙪𝙣.”

Ryder has been crushing on his Mom’s best friend since he was a teenager, and maybe he’s been a little flirtatious as he’s gotten older. Maybe he finds himself confessing things he shouldn’t after finding his mom and his best friend in a compromising position. Maybe Caroline can’t stop thinking about what he’s said, and maybe they get a little caught up in what’s just supposed to be a bit of fun. Ryder says he’s willing to accept whatever she’s willing to give him, but Caroline has her reasons for only keeping things casual when it comes to dating. Is she willing to break her rules for the one and only Ryder Calaway?

Okay this book was absolute fire 🔥. I was screeching at my damn kindle the whole time. The spice was next level, and the p egg ing scene was holier than thou 🥵. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this book in the days since I’ve finished it, and I think I’m in love with Ryder Calaway and Caroline Grant, aka MOMMY 🥵. I loved the bi rep, and the dynamics between the couple were hot as hellfire. With Ryder being more of a switch, and Caroline liking to be more dominant, the way he submitted to her had me panting, but when he took control (because she allowed him to) it left me sweating like a sinner in church.

I love them, and I genuinely can’t wait to read the next book!

Thank you to Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest opinion about this book!

Honestly, I knew I was going to love Ryder & Caroline since the Somewhere to Stay epilogue…but I didn’t expect to love them as much as I did 🥰
When I tell you I was straight up sobbing crying right before her birthday party, I’m not even kidding. I had to put my Kindle down bc I was crying so much 😭

I was curious to see if Caroline/Ryder was going to be a Theo/Natalie remix, especially since they are both older woman age gap stories — it wasn’t at all, they were definitely their own couple. 💜

I love the bisexual rep 🏳️‍🌈. Too often with bisexual MCs in M/F pairings, it’s only mentioned in passing and that’s it — but that wasn’t the case. 🫶🏻

Forbidden romance ✔️ best friends son ✔️ major switch energy ✔️ bi MMC ✔️ tension and spice x 1000 ✔️

Good Lord, I’ll say it again but Grace 👏 never 👏 misses 👏
This was everything and also more than I expected it to be. It was hella spicy, heavy on the tension, it was funny and sweet, it was surprisingly low drama considering the main trope AND it was actually really emotional towards the end. The wrapping up of the story actually surprised me and made me cry.

I absolutely adored both Caroline and Ryder already, having met them in Somewhere to Stay (book 1) and I have been literally foaming at the mouth for their story since. I thought both characters were very true to their personalities from the first book, and really enjoyed getting to see into their minds. The way Ryder has always had a crush on his mom’s best friend was so blindingly obvious but when he realises that she also wants him too… all bets were off and wow was there sparks. 🔥
Ryder is cocky, and charming, self assured and so pathetically down bad for Caroline it’s not even funny… but it is hot AF.

Caroline is a very dominant, powerful woman and that normally continues into the bedroom but with Ryder… it was different. They were able to easily switch their roles, Caroline found a softer side to herself with him but also knew that he would literally fall to his knees for her any time she told him to. They were so comfortable with each other, and slowly she started to realise he meant so much more. She just needed to work through her past traumas first.

The way this book had me panting, sweating and struggling to decide which character I had the biggest crush on… I’d say Grace did her job well 😂😂🥵

I cannot wait to see what comes next for book 3… that little teaser at the end has me VERY excited.

High spice 🔥
Reverse Age Gap
Best friend's son
Dual POV
He falls first
Forbidden romance

This is book 2 & while it isn't necessary to read the first book, I would highly recommend that you do.

I love how persistent Ryder is. He knows he wants Caroline, in whatever way she will give, & he [charmingly] doesn't give up.

Caroline is older, but isn't looking to settle down.
She likes the fun, FWB type relationships.
But there's something about Ryder, her best friend's son, that she can't deny.

Overall, this book kept my attention.
There was a LOT of sex.

I wish there had been a little more "dating" or time with outside of the bedroom. When Caroline reveals her reason for not wanting to find love, I was surprised. It really made me feel a deeper connection with her & I wanted more of that.

The sexual tension between the two MC's was undeniable. Turner knows how to write romances!

I did enjoy the read!
After having read book 1, I was excited to see Ryder & caroline were having their story written

“I was never going to give up on you, pretty girl. You’re it for me. Always have been, always will be. I was just waiting for you to catch up.”

Reverse Age Gap
Forbidden Love
Best Friend’s Son
Good Boy
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Loved Ryder & Caroline’s story! Ryder has crushed on her for years, but is a forbidden love because she is his mom’s best friend. He decides to go for it after his mom and best friend become a couple (Natalie & Theo’s story is 1st book of series) and they can’t exactly get mad after doing something similar. Caroline is closed off and decides they are just having “fun” because she isn’t willing to accept she is falling for him, but when she admits to him her reasons for this my heart broke for her. Ryder had me nearly in tears with what he did for Caroline on her birthday after finding out her secret!

If you are looking for a spicy, forbidden, age gap romance this may be it for you!

Was blessed to ARC read this and so grateful for the escapism it provided me. I haven't been able to read a book at all & to finally consume a book was what I needed.

5/5 Stars for me
Spice level - definitely a one hand read. This book was spicy! (4 peppers out of 5 for those who like the pepper scale)

The tension between Caroline and Ryder will edge you like no other but the plot and the story between these two will have you rooting for them all the way through. Also loved the LGBTQ+ representation <3

Amazing characters. Beautiful Story. 10/10 absolutely recommend, especially if you love reverage age gap (She's 11 years older than him), Forbidden (He's her best friend's son), Some Domme/Sub action with some Switch, Her calling him 'good boy', angsty tension, the fuck it moments

That epilogue also has me excited for what is to come next <3

Ryder won my heart when I read the first book. The way he handled his feelings for Caroline and how he took care of her was very sweet!
I sort of related to Caroline because, where she has walls where she doesn't let anyone in but reading about it and knowing there are people who are willing to provide comfort when we let them in is... refreshing.
Ryder was patient as a saint when it came to her feelings, and I really loved the fact that he never pushed her off to edge.
Caroline might be the broken character but she is also a very strong character written by the author.
Grace Turner's women are strong and I love it💗
A must-read if someone's looking for a reverse age gap!

Tropes-

I don't even know how to start my review. The last few chapters still have me in a choke hold (of the emotional and physical variety). Maybe with some facts about the book?
This is the second d book in the Someone, Somewhere series.
It's a reverse age gap.
Golden retriever MMC
Black cat FMC
Praise kink
Your brand of bully turns me on
Kink galore
The goodest bi-boy that ever was
Miss independent
It's always been you
Forbbiden romance
Afraid to love again
Opposites attract
Make all my dreams/fantasies come true
Sex as a distraction tactic

I LOVED how Ryder's patient and carefree personality slowly broke Caroline's fortress of protection, and he didn't fully believe it until the very end. If anyone was going to get in there, it was going to be Ryder. I appreciated how accepting all their friends and loved ones were of them being together.

“I don’t just want to be something to someone. I want to be something to you.”

Ryder met his mother’s best friend nearly a decade ago, and has been in love with her ever since, but it wasn’t until recent events between his own mother and best friend that caused a shift in dynamics between himself and Caroline.

Now that Ryder has graduated college and is stepping into his role as best man for his friend’s wedding by overseeing their in-person planning, which just so happens to fall under the directive of Caroline, the tension between the two of them becomes impossible to ignore.

Ryder is someone who exudes confidence and isn’t above begging (or pegging). I loved the switch energy between him and Caroline and seeing her youthful side come out when she was around him.

That pivotal moment in the third-act where Caroline finally breaks down her walls and shows emotion and vulnerability, added a gut-wrenching layer of depth that took this from being a really good romance, to a great one. (Grief in romance will always be a hit for me!)

Something to Someone is the second installment in the Someone, Somewhere series, but can easily be read as a standalone.
This one’s perfect if you like reverse age gaps, he falls first, bisexual rep, and “good boy.”

We have the next standalone after Somewhere to Stay and it has the same trope with an age gap (she’s older) but a completely different story. The angst hits different in this one. Book one was son’s best friend and now we have best friend’s son 🫢

I loved the gradual fall (and thaw of Caroline’s heart) when the fun forced proximity turns to fwb to something more. The spice is also different in book 2 (some switch energy).

There’s something so indulgent and comforting about Grace’s writing. Her love interests always give soulmate energy. And even though Caroline was reluctant at first it’s not creepy or alphahole vibes as a result because Ryder was never going to pursue anything if she wasn’t actually dropping real breadcrumbs for him. She just didn’t think she deserved something good 😭

Thank you to the author for having me on her ARC team!!

So grateful to have a received an ARC for this. I really enjoyed the first book in the series but oh man, book 2 really stepped up the game. It’s no necessary to read the first book but I would recommend doing so before reading this one.

•reverse age gap
•best friend’s son
•secret relationship

Ryder and Caroline’s book takes the spice to a whole new level. Just when I thought we’d met the spice quota, it amps up continuously right up until the last chapter. Everything is consensual between the two, there’s no need to worry about dubcon.

Between the spice it’s nice to see the relationship blossom. The terms of endearment (pretty girl, trouble, good boy) just added to my enjoyment.

I can’t wait to read more books by Grace Turner.

𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒆 is book two in the Someone, Somewhere series by Grace Turner. If you have not started this series yet, you need to!!

🖤 Reverse Age Gap
🖤 Best Friends Son
🖤 Forced Proximity
🖤 Secret Relationship
🖤 Golden Retriever MMC

I fell in love with Caroline in book one and was so excited when I found out she would be the FMC in book two. Her and Ryders relationship was full of so much angst. Ryder was definitely a pleasant surprise. I knew he was cocky and flirtatious but man 🥵 Bonus he is willing to get on his knees and beg.  He is also so sweet and thoughtful.

"𝑫𝒊𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒍 𝒕𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒚 𝒈𝒊𝒓𝒍?"

I can't wait for Beckett and Addison

I’ve been waiting for Ryder and Caroline’s story ever since I met them in Somewhere to Stay and it did not disappoint!

Tropes ✨

-he falls first
-forbidden
-reverse age gap
-secret relationship
-golden retriever mmc

Ryder is the perfect book boyfriend. He was so sweet and patient with Caroline. Hearing her story about why she is closed off to love was heartbreaking. Seeing Ryder break down those walls and show her the love she deserves was beautiful.

If you love age gap, lots of spice, forbidden romance then this series is for you!

I’m so lucky I was able to get an ARC for this book. And the epilogue has me SO excited for the next book in the series!
