Born in Visalia, California, I'm a small town girl at heart. I love central California's golden foothills, oak trees, and the miles of farmland. In my mind, there's nothing sweeter in the world than the heady fragrance of orange blossoms on a sultry summer night.

As a little girl I spent hours on my bed, staring out the window, dreaming of far off places, fearless knights, and happy-ever-after endings. In my imagination I was never the geeky bookworm with the thick coke-bottle glasses, but a princess, a magical fairy, a Joan-of-Arc crusader.

My parents fed my imagination by taking our family to Europe for a year when I was thirteen. The year away changed me (I wasn't a geek for once!) and overseas I discovered a huge and wonderful world with different cultures and customs. I loved everything about Europe, but felt especially passionate about Italy and those gorgeous Italian men (no wonder my first very Presents hero was Italian).

I confess, after that incredible year in Europe, the travel bug bit, and bit hard. I spent much of my high school and college years abroad, studying in South Africa, Japan and Ireland. South Africa remains a country of my heart, the people, the land and politics complex and heart-wrenching.

After my years of traveling and studying I had to settle down and earn a living. With my Bachelors degree from UCLA in American Studies, a program that combines American literature and American history, I've worked in sales and marketing, as well as a director of a non-profit foundation. Later I earned my Masters in Writing from the University of San Francisco and taught jr. high and high school English.

I now live in Seattle and Hawaii with my three sons. I never mind a rainy day, either, because that's when I sit at my desk and write stories about far-away places, fascinating people, and most importantly of all, love. I like a story with a happy ending. We all do.

I had read each of these stories individually when they were released. This is a great bundle of stories with everything from cowboys to rich tycoons. This package is too good to pass up. Although some of the stories are part of larger series, each one is also a stand-alone story that works just fine without the others, so you won't be lost even if you haven't read the rest.

Beauty's Kiss by Jane Porter -
This was a fabulous story. Being a "book girl" myself I really loved Taylor. Troy was a great character as well. And the two of them together were magical.
Taylor's friend, Jane, sets her up with Troy for the big Valentine Ball at the Graff Hotel, but Taylor doesn't want to go with Troy. Considering the throngs of women constantly trying to land Troy, he is very intrigued by the fact that Taylor doesn't want to be his date.
This was a wonderful fairy-tale romance novel and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Almost a Bride by Sarah Mayberry -
I loved this story. Tara and Reid were the perfect heroine and hero in this book. I could be best friends with both of them if they were real people. After Tara's engagement ends when it's discovered that her fiance has been having an affair with one of his students, Reid is there to support Tara. I really enjoyed how Tara decides to evaluate how she has been living her life and discovers why she has always been the one to take the safe road in life.

Game of Brides by Megan Crane -
I enjoyed this book so much I didn't want it to end.
Emmy goes back to Marietta after 10 years away to partake in the three weeks of wedding events that were going on for her sister. She wanted to avoid Griffin because 10 years earlier, when she was a teenager, he had broken her heart. Then when she ends up staying at his house because there wasn't room at her aunt's house, they are forced to deal with what happened in the past, and face the physical attraction between them.

The Reluctant Bride by Katherine Garbera -
Risa and Monty were wonderful characters. After they were engaged in Las Vegas, Monty goes overseas with his military unit. While he is gone Risa has a life-changing event and in panic and fear, runs away to Marietta, MT without telling Monty. Little did she know that Monty also had a life-changing event overseas. Once Monty returned, neither one of them was the same.
It was great watching how the characters changed and grew after their time apart. Also watching them work on trying to fix their relationship and work through their personal issues and fears.

The Unexpected Bride by Joanne Walsh -
I loved this book. Emma was wonderful as the nanny and I loved how they portrayed her interactions with the children and with Laurent. I also really enjoyed how realistic Laurent was portrayed as the grieving widower with two young kids. The emotional struggles with him just made me want to give him a hug.

Last Year's Bride by Anne McAllister -
I really loved this book. Nell was a great character and I enjoyed her energy and attitude. Cole was also wonderful and I really enjoyed reading about his inner struggles to balance his wants for himself and his committments to the family ranch. The story moved at a great pace and I was kept interested through the whole story.

Beauty and the Cowboy by Nancy Thompson -
This was a really cute story. Charlotte (Charlie) and Jesse were great characters. I so wish Marietta, MT was a real town so I could visit there. It's hard to sum up the story without giving anything away, but the bottom line is that it was a fun light romance and I would definitely recommend it.

Cowgirl Come Home by Debra Salonen -
This story was so good I didn't want it to end. I loved Bailey and Paul and how they worked through all of the trials that life through their way. It was a great story about love and forgiveness and second chances, both in romance and with family. This was a very enjoyable read.

Flirting with Forever by Kim Boykin -
This was a fun, quick read. Tara finally realizes her dream of being a successful author, and her husband leaves her and cleans out their bank accounts. Then to make ends meet she agrees to do a promotional book tour for her blockbuster. As if that wasn't bad enough, when her publicist's foot gets broken, she is stuck working with Jake who she thinks is a jerk, and Jake expects her to be a diva.
I enjoyed the pace of this book. There was a nice message about being yourself and reinventing your life when things don't go the way you planned.

Weekend with the Tycoon by Kaira Rouda -
This story used to be a fantasy of mine! Rich business man buying you a new wardrobe and wanting you to accompany him to a weekend event. Like Pretty Woman, without the prostitution. This was very well written with very fun characters. I really enjoyed Samantha's fortitude and although she was willing to do just about anything to help her career, she still had limits.

The Bride Who Wouldn't by Carol Marinelli -
This book drew me in from the start. I read it in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down.
Kate's character was wonderful. I loved the emotions surrounding her past and her feelings about her mother. The chemistry between Kate and Isaak was very well written. I loved how much they both learned about each other and that first impressions can be wrong. And I really wished I could've gotten the spa treatment that Kate did :) This was a great romance with some heat and a touch of mystery as well.

Second Chance Honeymoon by Ally Blake -
After a drunken night with her friend (the new travel agent) Juliana (JJ) ends up booked on a cruise to escape life. However, the cruise turns out not exactly to be what she expected when she imagined it. JJ was a girl in the wrong place, but possibly at the right time.
I loved how she dealt with the fact that she was stuck on a ship that she didn't think she wanted to be on, with passengers who weren't at all who she pictured being confined to a cruise ship with. The connection between JJ and Kane was great. I also enjoyed how JJ ended up forming a connection with the other passengers.

Wow! 12 books for 99 cents! I've read all of these! One of my Favorites is Flirting With Forever. Here's my review of it:

**I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion**

Tara has just written a bestseller at 40, and her life is falling apart--husband walked out, took all the money, and there are two mortgages due. But, like any sassy Southern woman, she's holding it together. Until she's forced into a book tour. In walks Jake, her new (hottie) publicist--oops, broke the first one's foot. Wardrobe changes, attitude redirected, and a financial plan in place: she's on tour with a little romance on the side. Things are looking up until the almost-ex shows up. Drama she doesn't need. Fortunately, Jake's there to see her through it all and ready to help her start the next chapter in her life, love, and family.

This is a fun story--Kim Boykin has done it again! She finds the best of the sexy, sassy southern woman in each story she writes!
