** 2 STARS **

Frankly, I am a little wasted right now and could be doing all kinds of fun stuff with my hubby, who by the way almost begged me not to open up Goodreads, knowing that I'd lose myself on it for hours. It may not be one of my brightest ideas to write a negative review in this state, but to heck with it! I have 5 more pending reviews to write and have decided to start up with the worst.

You see guys, I never understood how someone could forget about signing up for an ARC and get surprised when they see it on their e-reader or their e-mails. But apparently sometimes it happens; because I was shocked when I saw this one.

Especially considering my reviews for the previous books in the series.

Kelly Harper must be an angel...

Seriously though. Thank you Kelly for not freaking out about my reviews and stalking me to tell me what a terrible person I am EVERYDAY, like some other author did a few months ago. Jesus Christ, I'm so glad you didn't turn out like that person.

Sorry for my long-ass rambling about nothing of importance. Now, here comes the actual review of the book:

*** SPOILERS ***

Hannah Barnes has jumped into this crazy train of an affair with Isaac Drake after a night in the bar, and lots have changed in her life since then. First, Isaac turned out to be the owner of the company that Declan Cross, Hannah's father's protégé, who has taken over the company after his untimely death, had arranged to meet for an alliance. Then, Declan stopped treating Hannah like his little sister and started acting like a jealous boyfriend about her and Isaac. Then, when we're waiting him to finally tell Hannah about his feelings, he dropped the bomb of the bad economical state their company has been in, telling her they need Isaac's help with it. And finally, we learned that Declan is a sneaky snake, teaming up with Hannah's horrible mother, trying to sell Hannah's father's company away behind her back.

That's pretty much the summary of Books #1, #2 and #3. Oh and plus SEX, SEX, SEX AND A BIT MORE SEX thrown in.

Hannah has caught Declan having lunch with her mother, discussing about his evil plans regarding her daddy's company and telling her how "Isaac is doing his role perfectly". Of course, she gets pissed and starts yelling, asking for an explanation.

Declan is a cold-hearted asshole, so he is not even phased, acting all calm and collected, calling Hannah "a child" and telling her to "calm down and not dramatize stuff". Yup. He is a d*ck.

He tells Hannah that selling the company will make them all filthy rich and that he doesn't give a sh*t about her daddy's hopes and dreams about the company. But of course, Hannah is more interested in Isaac's role in all of this, so she keeps asking about him, getting vague answers from Declan all the time, so she decides to face Isaac about this herself.

Okay, now remember she wanted to see Isaac to grill him about the mess about the company. Because that fact TOTALLY FLIED AWAY from Hannah's mind the second she saw him sitting with a beautiful woman in some restaurant, resulting in their first conversation after the shock about Declan and the company, being like this:

"Let me go, I don't want to interrupt your date, or whatever this is..."

"Bloody hell, Hannah! I'm not on a date. What's gotten into you?"

"I saw the way she was looking at you, and touching you. I'm done with your games, Isaac. I'm not going to let you lie to me and manipulate me any more."

"Hannah, I haven't lied about anything..."

"LIAR!"

Lots of drama, yelling, name calling etc etc after that.

Then when Isaac, this guy that she doesn't trust at all anymore, this guy that might have lied to her about something extremely important about her life and family, tells her to take his helmet and get on his motorcycle, THIS is why she does what she's told like a good little girl after just a fake little struggle:

"Hannah... GET.ON."

There's a serious edge to his voice, leaving no room for me to do anything but exactly what he says. I consider putting up more of a fight, but I've already come this far. I might as well get some answers out of him before I completely blow him off."

ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC.

Then when she confronts him about everything, all he has to do is say "Of course I didn't know anything about that, Hannah, bloody hell, I would never hurt you like that, how could you believe that sh*t blah blah blah" and she believes him right away.

They have a lot of sex right after that. Naturally.

The rest is very predictable and it all ends with a HEA.

I could have maybe liked it a little bit more if at least Isaac was impressive...but alas, he was so goddamn lame and boring, he even made everything worse for me:

"You're everything I could ever want."

"Stop it, you're going to make me blush."

"Then blush until your ears turn red. It's the truth, and I won't shy away from telling you."

"You always know how to tell me exactly what I need to hear."

Ugggh.

Would I recommend this series?

I'm really sorry, but it's not worth the time and energy.

***DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE READ PARTS 1-3 ALREADY***

Take Me: Part 4 is the 4th and final book in the Power Play series. If you read and liked Take Me: parts 1-3 then Take Me: part 4 is a necessity for your sanity! As you know part 3 left us poor readers with a huge cliffhanger! UGH! Part 4 picks up right where part 3 left off and Hannah is still stunned by the betrayal she is feeling! Now she has nobody she can trust and a new evil character is introduced. Also coming into the story is a woman who is very well acquainted with Issac!
Still struggling to save her father's company Hannah is becoming desperate. She's looking at any avenue available to keep her father's company from being sold out from under her.
As Issac tries to rebuild trust with Hannah an unlikely ally comes to Hannah's aid.
There are some clever twists and turns and I got answers to almost all of the questions left from the first 3 books. But I couldn't give this book 5 stars for 2 reasons. First, there are a couple of instances in the book that make no sense. I'm sure you'll figure them out for yourself. I was disappointed that Ms. Harper didn't catch these mistakes. I would have loved to be a beta reader her for her because these are the kind of glaring discrepancies that I pick up easily and help the author from tripping themselves up. I also would love to have seen the HEA last a little bit longer.
I still love Issac and Hannah and I would recommend this book to others who like this genre of book.

I didn't like it. Non-stop she is talking about her father business and how she wants to save it from bankrupt and when she found out that her dad business partner and big brother figure is selling company she was angry but what she did at the ending was disappointing. How can she forget everything she had done to work in her daddy's company to just give up for a guy who she barely knows. I don't get it. No, wait its love, she loves him and so does he. I think this story had potential but it just didn't happen which is sad. And yes there is too much sex scenes like she needs to fight for company or Declan is going to see it in 2 days whats she has done go to Isac and have sex so that she forget about everything and she does it non stop.

**I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.**

Let me start by saying that I went back and reread part three quickly before starting this book. Honestly, who could forget Isaac, but I wanted to refresh myself over other points. Sigh...Isaac. He's just the complete deal. The man who no woman should let get away.

While there were MAJOR twists in parts 1-3, this one just kind of followed right along. Yes, Annabella's revelation was interesting but not shocking. Hannah and her mother's visit was interesting but not shocking. I was actually kind of disappointed. I absolutely want HEAs every time, but it felt like it was just too easy.

4 1/2 stars: In my opinion, there were a lot of unanswered questions in the end. Why did Declan turn into a total prick? What exactly was the deal with Annabelle? How could Barbara do a 180 degree turn after such a brief meeting with Hannah? How will Isaac and Hannah's future reconcile? I feel like the ending was rushed and a lot of info was omitted. An epilogue would've made me very happy, and I'm guessing that a lot of other readers might agree.

KH, please consider doing anther book to this series to give us more complete closure on this awesome story and sexy couple! Not only would it answer so many of my questions, but it would give me more time with Isaac. Sigh...Isaac.

Good book and series....

Take Me: Part 4 is the final book in the Power Play series of books by Kelly Harper. Part 3 of this series left us with a rather large cliff-hanger and I was eagerly waiting to read this final part of the series. Thank you Kelly for giving me the opportunity to read and review your books, it is a huge responsibility and a great privilege.

This book picks right up where Part 3 left off and has Hannah stunned at what she discovered. There are all sorts of questions raised in the final parts of the third book and these are addressed in this fourth book. Without giving too much away, I did enjoy this book. As it was an ARC, I will forgive with the typos and problems with grammar, etc. but there is a couple of things that really stood out and hence the four-star review. There are still a lot of unanswered questions especially for me regarding Declan? That just didn't make sense to me. The book definitely felt a little rushed, I understand that it is a novella, but there needed to be some extra explanations, etc.

Overall, this was a good series of books and I would definitely read more from this author in the future. I would recommend these books and have given it a four-star review.

I enjoyed many parts of this book, I love the chemistry between Hannah and Isaac and the sex is hot as usual. I am confused though of why Declan and her mother said what they said about Isaac, they did not know she was standing there so why lie and make it sound like he was in on the deal, for whose benefit would they say that? Isaac said it was a lie, not even a misunderstanding but a blatant lie so why did they bring him up? Then when Declan and Hannah meet in the park he says that Isaac is one of the reasons all of this is happening, and then he says about her trusting Isaac and that she does not see the big picture and how he wished he could be there when she figured it out, figured what out? Based on this it still sounds like Isacc had something to do with all of this, why does Declan keep saying this if nothing is going to come out of it? So some parts of this story seem to be not fitting together. I love that Hannah finally decided to follow her own dreams but I wish we could have read more about them now that they are a true couple and they are going to London to meet his mother. I am so happy though that they got their HEA.

So much to like, but .......

There really is so much to like about this series. The two main characters are well developed and engaging. The scenes depicting Hannah's and Issac's first encounter and their two official dates are so well written, I re-read them a few times just for the pure enjoyment. The sex scenes are steamy, playful, lustful - everything you hope sex will be.

Ms. Harper does such a fine job portraying Hannah's sense of betrayal that I felt my gut wrenching in empathy. And there is plenty of betrayal.

But here's the "but": Declan and the mother were not convincing characters. Declan went from being the savior to the anti-Christ without the necessary foreshadowing to keep the reader's head from spinning. The mother's character suffered from the same lack of dimension.

In my opinion, the author needs a good editor. The same phrases tend to repeat and reappear throughout the series; for example "the seeds of my orgasm" and "fierce grin". These are powerful phrases the first couple of times, then they're just annoying.

Take Me: Part 4 is the conclusion to the Take Me series by Kelly Harper. This book starts with Hannah finally seeing what a snake Declan is. After buying her mother's shares of BMG, Declan now is the majority stockholder and is going to sell the company that Hannah's father built. Not only that, he tells her that Isaac is a part of it. Enraged, Hannah goes to confront Isaac for lying to her, or so she thinks. Rage filled her when she finds Isaac at a bar with a beautiful woman. He explains that she's just an old friend.

There is so much going on in this final installment. Will Isaac be able to convince Hannah that he loves her and is not lying to her? Will Hannah be able to save the company and forgive Isaac? Here's a hint, this book is filled with lots of HOT make up sex that will leave you fanning yourself.

I really enjoyed this series and cannot wait for more from Kelly Harper.

This ended so abruptly and felt unfinished. I really wanted Hannah to take over the company and that was one of the things that confused me throughout the whole book. She loved her father's company but didn't want to follow in his footsteps, but then when she found out that it was being sold out from under her, she wanted to do everything she could to save it. Her concern just seemed so empty when, after everything she did trying to save the company, in the end she just gave it up to fly off in to the sunset. This was her legacy. She doesn't have to run the place, but she could have tried harder to save it, especially from the likes of her absentee and uncaring mother and narcissistic Declan.

Overall, I did enjoy the series, but I really would have like to see this one go a different way. Still a good series that I would re-read.

What a wonderful ending.

This one was probably my favorite. Even though all the crap that went on with Declan and her mother, I`m happy she had a chance to set things straight with Declan. I hope he gets put out on his arse haha. And glad she could work things out with her mother, I know I couldnt. I am very proud of Hannah this installment. And Isaac and her were as hot as ever. I am so happy with the story and the ending. I truly hope for at least one more. To see how London is, meeting his mom, maybe OTHER surprises ;-) hehe. And I cannot wait for Calvins story! great series and great finish! Kelly does it yet again. My favorite series by her, you simply must read it!

That's it?? It's over? Nooooo :(
I've read this last book without blinking. I was so captivated by it. Been waiting for this one for a while now and when I got the ARC by e-mail from Kelly Harper I was so happy!
I'm a big fan of this series, I loved the Sexy Brit like a fool, and now I'm sorry it's over. Their story was a good one and I will miss them.
But seriously now, this is the end? I hope not ... I was expecting something more. A proposal, a wedding, kids ... I don't know ... something more, that's for sure.
Mrs Harper, please don't leave us like this. Make something beautiful for them , like an epilogue five years from now :) We all need a fairy tale ending right?

I love Isaac!! Hannah found out that Declan was planning on selling off her fathers company and he told her that Isaac was in on the deal. Which of course we find out is just another one of Declan's lies. Hannah has had enough of everything. She has a big blow up with her mother and also confronts Isaac. Let's just say the make up sex is awesome. The decision she makes might make you wonder why she doesn't fight more for her fathers company but in the end we have our happier ever after. Another great book by Kelly Harper!

Great steamy conclusion to this series. I loved the sexy brit and Kitten. Hannah and Issac are great together. The chemistry was wonderful and full of steam. Declan turned out to be awful. I loved all that was revealed in this book. Kelly brought it all together and I really enjoyed it. There were several twists that you don't see coming and some surprises. A great conclusions to a great series.

Wow. How could you not live Issac. Loved the story. It was a shock in the beginning of what Hannah sees. You finally see the real Declan. I wanted more of the story. Hannah was so strong minded of continuing her father's business. She realized that BMG is going under. She wanted to save her dad's company and would do anything. I didn't expect the ending and would have liked to see it go another way. But overall it was short and good. Definite a 4+.

Knight in Shining Armor?

Hannah finally realizes what she wants and she thinks he is one of the bad guys. Isaac has an even bigger surprise for her, one she never imagined!

Declan turns out to be a creep and Hannah finally sees him for what he really is, but can she forgive her mother for her part in this evil and dirty scheme?

Will Hannah be able to fly off into the sunset with her Knight? You have to read this, if you've read 1-3, you will be in for a big surprise!

AMAZING ENDING to a fantastic mini-series. In every book I had a love hate relationship with Declan and Isaac. Never sure who to trust. The story never slowed down and the cliff hanger ending in part 3 blew my mind. I do not want to give anything away in part 4, but I HIGHLY recommend this series. A great read!

The whole series was going great.....until this book. It felt rushed and there were so many loose ends that the author needed to tie up but didn't. The series had a lot of potential but this last book was seriously a major let down and the events the occurred did not make any sense to me. Also the sex scenes were really repetitive and yawn worthy.

I liked the first 3 parts of this series. The fourth was good as well, but maybe because of the shorter length, the final things couldn't be developed as much as I would have liked. I'm glad she got her HEA. I was shocked that some people were the opposite of how you thought they were for the entire series.

It's a light, quick read that I'd recommend.

Four one hour books

This is the fourth of the series of one hour books, which could have been just one book. I had a feeling there was more to the story, I thought that Isaac was behind the business buyout that didn't go through and I was waiting for a big reveal at the end. Part of Kindle Unlimited.
