A Rising Hope is the 3rd book in the slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers dark fantasy trilogy The Freckled Fate.

Tetyana was born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2012, she moved to Utah, USA to attend Ensign college and pursue a degree in business. She is now a proud wife and a mother with a successful career in software sales.
Tetyana has had a strong passion for reading ever since she was a kid. But her world completely changed when she read the Harry Potter series at the age of 8 and discovered the world of fantasy. She hasn’t looked back since. Now, as a self-published fantasy-romance author, Tetyana looks forward to helping other authors on their journey. She named her publishing company after a tiny rural Ukrainian village in Kyivska Oblast’ where she spent her summers growing up. With no internet or cell service or even indoor plumbing, Tetyana spent her summer days helping her grandparents take care of their small farm while spending any free time outside reading. “Bakumovka stands for more than a small village to me. It stands for a place of peace and magic. A place where imagination runs wild and free. A place of comfort and love.” Tetyana says.
“You stabbed yourself, then your boyfriend stabbed himself. Then I stabbed him, since it seemed everyone was busy stabbing and I didn’t want to be left out,”
This quote isn’t that important BUT it made me laugh out loud. And Priya really did stab him. What a story! It was such an epic storyline I wasn’t sure it would end in book 3 or how. But it was pretty great. In fact very satisfying. There was so much death and destruction though. And even though it was very sad it also had great moments of love and friendship. It was evenly balanced. I loved Finn and Gideon’s journey. And I was so glad this story had different POV’s even though I wanted to get to Finn and Gideon the other point of views added so much more depth to the story. This did feel like a giant movie though. A lot happens, so much. And it just kept happening. It wasn’t as delicious as the first two but still very good. I loved the epilogues and bonus chapters so much! How they skipped into the future.
This was a fun end to this trilogy! 3.75 - 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ once again!
PLOT Can’t say too much just know this picks up directly after the cliffy of book 2. It has: - more POVs - battles & monsters - lower spice
PROS - Brought some characters back into the fold that were very fun! - Gideon continues to be pathetically obsessed & idc it’s fun. - Finn was great! - Really enjoyed getting the new POVs. - Loved the epilogues, rather satisfying. & that they also set up more stories for other characters in this world.
MIDS - Does feel like we relied a little bit on some secrets to get our characters outta danger.
CONS - With new POVs come new things & there were just some things we wanted to care more about that we didn’t because we’d never spent time in these people’s heads & gotten to really get to the guts behind it. -
This is just a fun romantash trilogy if you’re looking for a good vibe read!
The first book I thought was good, the second was decent, and this one is a published book.
At this point Finn is f****ng annoying with her running off that should have been played out mid book 2 ok.
There can’t be 1. The Destroyer Armies 2. The Mad Queen who apparently can’t die without the whole world dying too 3. Not one but TWO out of nowhere dragon armies led by a giant dragon mother THAT I THOUGHT THE TRUTH TELLER KILLED IN BOOK TWO!?!? (It’s giving How to Train Your Dragon vibes ok iykyk)and 4. Not one but I’m pretty sure TWO deaths by each main character. Pick a struggle.
Orest’s monologues about love are the one shining star in this series and I will go to my grave preaching that those are proof this author has the capability to write masterpieces. HOWEVER on the flip side of that relationship, any likability Zora had absolutely disintegrated when she finally admitted her feelings and then Maxwell Sheffielded them right back. I can genuinely say I loathed seeing her or Orest’s name at the beginning of a chapter because I was going to fall in love with his speech about her and then she would immediately kill it and annoy me more than my husband watching mechanic videos in bed on full volume.
All in all I DNFd 65% of the way through after Finn died and resurrected the second time. And I loathe DNFing after I’ve put in more than 2 books of effort. I DNFd the elf queen series a month ago and may go crack that b**** back open and give her a second chance after this.

💭 Thoughts-
-ˋˏ✄┈┈Book 1: Honestly, I really enjoyed this book. It was unique, and I thought it had an excellent plot and was a strong start to the series.
-ˋˏ✄┈┈Book 2: Ngl, there was a part in this book that was so SO similar to the Throne of Glass series that I swear it was copy and paste, and it was written 12 years later, so it hurt me inside to read, “I was a survivor. I would not falter. I would not yield.” Like, SJM, is that you?
-ˋˏ✄┈┈Book 3: When you think a book is about to end but you're only 100 pgs in…This should have either been a duology shoved into book 2 or better laid out because it felt like it was just dragging on, and then the side quest we went on when it kept switching POVs to an entirely different story was just too much.

Tetyana, girl… This series gave me all the things. The found family, the small acts of kindness, the banter, the disrespect her and burn, it had it all. I was so invested in all of characters. The way some of the minor details came full circle late in the plot…Ray. The bonus chapters… 5 star master piece for me.
Fell short of my expectation for a series I genuinely loved. 😕
I was reallllly looking forward to this book, but I didn't expect the path it decided to take.
We start off where the last book left off, and Finn wakes up in the Queen's possession, while Gideon starts to try to burn the world to get back to her.
The story finally fully explains Finn, Gideon and the Queen's past. We get an insight to who all of them are, and how they fit into this world/plot.
Something that took over in this book is the POV from Zora and Orest. They dominated about 50% of the book, and I kinda just got bored reading about them. It was two different story lines within one book, and it dragged the plot immensely for me. I really wasn't invested in this story, and sometimes would skim their parts.
The one thing I was excited about was we get to see Priya again! She is easily one of my favorite characters as well as Florian. Which is honestly the reason I didn't round down my stars.
⟣Tropes⟢ ✅ Touch her and 💀 ✅ Stabby/Badass Heroine ✅ Obsessive/JP MMC ✅ Fated Mates ✅ Secret Identity ✅ Multiple POV’s (first person) ✅ Found Family ✅ He falls first ✅ Gods ✅ MINE ✅ HEA
God damn give this book 5 stars every day of the week.
Tetyana girl you really made me WORK for any sliver of light. I loved every moment of this book!
The book had me on edge from chapter 1 girl. I think the best part was the plot was being pushed at all times while maintaining the love connections but it was so balanced.
The ending though - I definitely cried my soul out. Then when I thought it was over, I cried even harder.
The side characters, the growth, and the love between the friendships and their partners literally made my heart so full.
This trilogy is a must read! I do have to warn you though, the mixing of the time periods threw me. I was imagining all this taking place in medievo time, but then there was zippers on the clothes. And many modern reference but they did not distract from the story. This book is gritty with lots of blood shed but also strength. I loved how each character had their own demos to fight and were committed to whatever plan they were following. If people had to did…they died. And the people they loved…they would burned the world for them.
I loved this! The love between Gideon and Finn was beautiful. They never gave up on each other and the way their devotion is described made me tear up. Orest- my sweet baby Orest. He was a favorite of mine in this book. The heartbreak I felt when Zora was going through her guilt after the battle made me actually weep. The ending was perfectly wrapped up with a chance of a side story. I’d love to read Priya’s story next!
"Motherly words spoken to their children are the strongest spells and magic one can do. They linger through generations and, depending on the words , can be the biggest curse or the strongest benediction one could ever find." I loved Orest in this book. His love for Zora was so strong. I'm glad their story was finally told. And making feel sympathy for the villain?! I'm not sure if i love or hate that...
The first book was a bit slow, the second brought the good times and banter, and the third brought the emotional trauma. This book made me laugh, cry, and had me on the edge of my seat. Finn and Gideon will be stuck in my head for the foreseeable future.
Side note- I have said it before and I will keep saying it… Priya is a total badass and I love her ❤️
Great ending to this series. Loved all the character perspectives this time around. Really felt like I got to know some of these characters so much better. I enjoyed how the major plot points were wrapped up and it was unexpected as to how it went. Great read!
I thoroughly enjoyed this series, but absolutely loved this book. I laughed. I cried. I celebrated. The pain in this book was as visceral as the triumph was glorious. I adored the relationship of Finn and Gideon and was so happy for the admission of love of Zora and Orest. Great series.
This book was far more fast paced and action packed. I do think as a whole the series needs a good rewrite. However the story was great. If you like TOG you will like this.
Liked the wrap up. But this book felt repetitive and verbose a few times. Like we get it, you’re in love and would rather die without the other. One time saying it should suffice
Super disappointed in this compared to the other two. Orest & Zora’s storyline took up too much of the book. Why after two full books would I suddenly want to care about these two - just gimme the MMCs POVs ffs.
Amigas, terminé esta trilogía y qué gran viaje! Siendo honestas, el final desafinó un poco. Después del 60% , los elementos políticos se volvieron un poco predecibles y los plot se sintieron forzados. Pero THE ROMANCE?? Hermoso 🥹 (nada superará el segundo libro, pero los diálogos y pensamientos internos me hicieron chillar igual)
I was confused and more than once, I was on the verge of giving up. The whole god thing was incredible messy. There were so many POVs, I sometimes had to turn back a few pages to work out who I was dealing with. The characters were incredibly flat and the story had more plot holes than a Swiss cheese. 1✨
This book is soooo similar to TOG/ACOTAR. Similar plot lines, main characters, etc. although it did have its own touch from time to time. Mind you, I love TOG with my every last breath, so I’m not complaining. I did enjoy it and loved the broody MMC who would DIE at least four times (literally) for his lady. Or burn the world down. Loved that it was free and I read all three books in a week. Cheers!
