Mafia, Family Drama, and Passion
If you love mafia romances mixed with family drama then Something To Fear is for you. I absolutely love Sophie’s strength as she deals with the many obstacles that are thrown at her. Nicoli continues to protect Sophie no matter what the cost. As secrets are revealed, the plot thickens and you will fall in love with certain characters and loathe others. I definitely recommend reading Something To Hide followed by Something To Fear. Looking forward to reading more about Sophie and Nicoli,

This is the second installment to the Something Series.
In this installment we go back 15 years to learn of what happened to Sophie and how it made her into the woman she is today. Sophie was in an abusive relationship although she tried to end it she didn't feel she had any other options but Michael and ended up going back to him several times before moving on. Sophie is dealing with the new that the woman that murdered Michael is getting a new trial which means she'll be called to testify again. Dreading having to go through all of that again is just more stress added to what she already has from dealing with the fall out from her break with Nicoli. Sophie's best friend Jake and his friends come to offer her protection when she starts getting threats again from supporters of Michael. She ends up having to relocate because its gotten so bad. Sophie doesn't have much time to think on how her relationship with Nicoli ending or the secret she's keeping from everyone.
Nicoli realizes his mistake the next day but its too late Sophie wants nothing to do with him. So he changes his strategy deciding on getting his revenge on his father for his part in breaking them up. trying to keep in touch on what's going on with Sophie Nicoli reaches out to a surprising person...Jake. Jake keeps him updated only because he can see how much Nicoli loves Sophie and how he is trying to fix his mistake. Once the trial starts all hell breaks loose and Nicoli steps in with added protection for Sophie.
Sophie is confused by Nicoli's actions but knows that there is no way she can make him leave. Nicoli is doing a juggling act trying to be there for Sophie and getting what he needs to take down his father. Sophie decides to take another chance on Nicoli even though she doubts they can ever really make it. When the verdict on the trial is released everyone is shocked and can't believe the fall out. Just when it looks like things are going to be alright another plot twist occurs and your left wondering what will happen next.
Omg! This book left me rushing online to see if the next installment was out and then a rush of disappointment when I realized I'd have a wait to find out how everything turns out. I love this series even if it is heartbreaking at times to the point of tears I just couldn't stop reading. You get to know the supporting characters almost as much as the lead characters in each story. I'll have to try to wait patiently for the next installment but I will say again if you haven't read this series you really need to. This is an amazing story.
