I was pleasantly surprised at how good this book is. At the beginning the Author Lou Robbie talks you through what to expect from this cookbook. How to use it, tips and tricks on planning and getting your freezer ready.
What i liked about this book was that each recipe has guidance on how to freeze what you've made and how to defrost. I find that really handy if your into batch cooking.
There was a good variety of recipes. Nearly all had pictures which is a huge tick from me! The ingredients are in grams and spoons so you would need to convert the measurements if needed. Unfortunately there isn't a conversions guide either. One other thing is the oven temperature is fan assisted, which i don't have. So again a simple conversion would of been beneficial, but easily solved with a quick Google!
I liked that this book is centred around family-friendly meals, healthier alternatives. Using a variety of methods like air-fryer, baking, making sweet treats with hidden vegetables etc..
All the recipes feature store cupboard ingredients, easily sourced ingredients and as far as i can tell, affordable too. The recipes are easy to follow and not too difficult in skills levels.
Overall i enjoyed this cookbook and I'm really looking forward to trying a lot of the recipes out. I've already bookmarked quiet a few.
