Harper Ballet is my world. This year will be no different, even if my new boss is determined to rattle me with his charming smile, witty remarks, and our natural chemistry. I refuse to give in, just as I refuse to acknowledge the danger coming right toward me. At least, I do ... Until it's too late. The nightmare descends, leaving me broken, and only he can help me salvage the pieces.
Perseus The moment I saw her dance was like getting struck by lightning -- hot, fierce, blinding. But that's who she is, down to her very core. So like a moth to the brightest flame, I'm drawn to her. And though it begins as a game of selfish fun for me, I quickly learn that playing with lightning can never end well. Because this human? She is going to wreck me, and I'm not sure I really mind.
Love love love. The spice? Perfect. The representation? Perfect. The healing? Perfect. The men? Perfect.
Sylver does an amazing job with her research on topics for these books and it shows. She does fantastic with showing emotion and understanding the emotions for them.
Iykyk The Devil and His Sparrow is one of my ALL TIME FAV reads! I audibly screeched when she announced all of the boys in the band will be getting books! The band is a group of different kinds of demons so this is a paranormal romance 😈
🩰 Workplace romance (boss/employee) 🖤 Touch her and die 🩰 Ballerina FMC 🖤 Demon MMC (with shadow powers) 🩰 He falls first 🖤 Nicknames (peasant/goddess) 🩰 “Run”, she tells HIM to crawl, degradation, bondage, mask play, shadow play, dub con 🖤 TRAUMA (check trigger warnings) and healing
I don’t even know where to start. This book took me on a roller coaster! Right off the bat Perseus is smitten with Harper. He knows that she is a ballerina at the ballet studio he just bought, but Harper hasn’t met the new owner/boss yet. At a costume party for the studio she sees this super hot GREEK GOD looking man and ends up dancing with him. They laugh and joke around and she ends up referring to him as a peasant. Cut to…. he’s the new owner of the dance studio 👀 Absolutely mortified, Harper apologizes profusely and swears she will be more professional now that she knows. (hahaha if only she knew)
Now this book isn’t all hot, rockstar demon smut. There is some TRAUMA our girl Harper has to endure. She not only has to deal with this absolute biotch of a girl she works with, but she also has a stalker… to keep this spoiler free, some shit goes down with the stalker and Harper’s life gets derailed for a lack of better words. The way the author took us through the tough times with Harper was absolutely heart wrenching, but made her comeback that much sweeter! I sobbed so many times reading this book 😭
I cannot wait for the rest of the books in the series!! 10/10 recommend this one and the first one 🖤
As always, I'm biased. BUT I love this story. Perseus and Harper have the best banter, and the tension between them is DELICIOUS. Not only that, but the heart and soul of this story is beautiful, dark, and healing. I truly hope this book finds those who need it, and I hope you guys love Perseus and Harper as much as I do.
I am completely obsessed with this series. Once again, a breathtaking 5-star read. The world pulls you in like a tide, and the characters—their pain, their hope, their fight—leave you clinging to every page, desperate to see how their story ends
Sinners Do It Better, at least that’s what they say… and when it comes to the Sinners Do It Better series, they aren’t wrong. I’m obsessed!
Both books were 5 stars for me and I’m simply sat for the next one. The series follows five demons who have a popular rock band and find themselves tangled up with humans they just can’t seem to stop obsessing about - but demons don’t have feelings and they certainly don’t love humans…. Right?
Book One: The Devil and His Sparrow Book Two: The Devil and His Goddess
Do yourself a favor and read these, they are a good time 🖤🔥
10/10 for me, with a beautiful ending. I just didn't want to finish it. I'll never be able to read it for the first time again, and that breaks my heart. I absolutely adore Perseus and Harper. Although Zagan and lyla were a beautiful couple and I loved their story. There is just something about Perseus and Harper that just does it for me. And it isn't just the long hair on that glorious demon! If you haven't snagged her up yet, she comes out in April and you should get it pre-ordered! thank you for your AMAZING writing beautiful queen The Devil and his Goddess will be in my top 5 of the year!
Perseus had interesting elements to him with him being an incubus and his thoughts as such. He has some redeeming qualities later in the book but a lot of his thoughts were predatory and didn’t come off as attractive or obsession based as they could have been. It worked for setting him up as a monster that feeds and needs lust and physical intimacy.
I liked the level of detail to this story: description of characters, level of being able to visualize how they appear in a space and life.
It’s dark romance and this story has some specific kinks with clothing. With the incubus there is hook up culture which made sense given how they feed.
Ballet AND Demon shadow daddy AND masked stalker? Sold! I absolutely love those things and Sylver combined them perfectly!
This series is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites and just like book one I inhaled this book!
Book two is darker and it definitely took me on a rollercoaster. My heart broke into a million pieces for Harper. The first 60% is playful and hot just like Perseus himself but then the trauma hits!
I can't say too much without being spoilery but Sylver takes you through Harper's experience and journey towards healing so beautifully it hits you in all your feelings. Perseus definitely made it to my very short blonde book boyfriend list! That man is to be protected at all cost! Just chef's kiss! 🤌
Though it adds to the experience to read book one first cause we see the main characters back in this book, it isn’t necessary!
I'm so glad I got the arc for book 3 so I can dive in immediately, cause I'm not nearly done with the guys from Sinners Do It Better!
JUST AS PERFECT AS THE FIRST ONE!!! I CANT say too much without giving anything away but OMG! It was written as amazingly as book one.
The intense heat, banter, lust, protection, stalker tendencies, loyalty and love between the two are just absolutely everything!!!!!!
They bond over a love for something and he chooses her. Doesn’t understand why in the beginning but he doesn’t care!
She figures out who he really is and still chooses him! He may be her boss but she said “Oh well!” As she should!! I don’t know what else I could say without giving anything away! I can’t wait to continue the series!!!!!
Sylver does it again with The Devil and His Goddess. For Harper, ballet is her life. Perseus has now purchased the dance company that Harper dances with. Little does Harper know that the masked demon and her boss are the same person. If you like slow burn with lots of spice, masked men, demons, high-stakes, and emotional vulnerability, then this is a must-read. This is book 2 in the Sinners Do it Better series. I highly recommend the series.
Pick this book up as soon as it comes on April 25th!! Sylver did it again pulling me right into the story so much that I couldn’t put it down. Perseus is just absolute perfection 🥵 and seeing Harper work through some really really hard things (no spoilers!) really had me drawn to her and connecting with her the whole book. Her love for ballet and the way she is able to show her emotions through ballet just felt so deep and emotional. I’m already eagerly awaiting book 3! I hope we get to see more of Aiysha in future books! Her and Harper’s friendship 🥹
This book is so good! It really filled the delicious and dark romance void I've been feeling since The Devil and His Sparrow. Love the character development, the timeline, and the spice. Already excited to learn more about the rest of the Sinners!
This book….. where do I start. Let’s start by saying. Perseus and Harper… I love them. Their story was so beautiful. This book was raw on emotions. You will laugh, you will be swooned, you will be mad, you will be filled with rage. I felt so much with these characters and their story, their journey. My heart ached for Harper, her healing journey was traumatic but beautiful. The spice?!?! Well slap my 🍑 and tell me good game because the spice was sooooo good. So delicious. Perseus is mine. I love him. So while I would say he could be your next book boyfriend. I’m going to need you to look somewhere else. Also who knew how hot ballet could be?? I did not. But now im addicted. This book was everything ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Dual pov “Crawl to me”. I about melted with that part Demon/incubus Shadow play Touch her and 💀 Degradation… yum Mask play… yes please
Perseus is the possessive and obsessive demon we all need in our life! I love how he takes care of Harper. I’m OBSESSED with this series! Honestly, I could go on all day about this series but you just need to read it! My only regret is not reading it sooner!
Read this book in a day and now I’m on to book 3! The characters and story are so well written! I can’t wait to see more from Sylver!
🖤 Dark Paranormal Romance 🖤 Ballet Studio Owner Demon MMC 🖤 Ballerina FMC 🖤 Employee X Boss 🖤 Degradation 🖤 Mask Play 🖤 Stalk!ng 🖤 Obsession/Possession 🖤 Touch her and 💀 🖤 “Crawl to Me” 🖤 Shadow Daddy 🖤 Smut 🔥🔥🔥
WOOOO HOLY MOLY! Sylver Michaela has done it again! 🔥 If you thought "The Devil and His Sparrow" was good, get ready, because "The Devil and His Goddess" absolutely stole the show and immediately became one of my all-time favorite reads. I audibly screeched when she announced all the boys in the Sinners Do It Better band (who are all different kinds of demons, btw – hello, paranormal rockstar romance!) are getting their own books, and this one for Perseus and Harper is just out of this world. This book took me on an emotional roller coaster that I never wanted to get off!
Right from the start, Perseus, our super hot, Greek-god-looking incubus, is smitten with Harper, a talented ballerina at the studio he just bought. But Harper, hilariously unaware he's her new boss, refers to him as a "peasant" at a costume party – cue the instant, delicious mortification when she finds out his true identity! What follows is a sizzling dance of attraction, witty banter, and undeniable chemistry. But this book isn't just hot rockstar demon smut (though, don't worry, there's plenty of that, especially with Perseus's tongue ring AND other piercing! 😉). Our girl Harper endures some serious trauma, dealing with a venomous coworker and a terrifying stalker that completely derails her life. The way Sylver takes us through Harper's tough times is absolutely heart-wrenching – I sobbed so many times – but it makes her comeback, and Perseus's unwavering, almost worshipful support, that much sweeter. He literally calls her his goddess and never lets her discourage herself from dancing, even when her world is in chaos.
The bond between Harper and Perseus is beyond special. Their banter and humor are hilarious, and the intense heat, lust, and fierce protection are everything you could want. He saw one video of her dancing and knew she was his, and even after she figures out he's a demon, she still chooses him, career be damned! This book brings a unique love story of a ballerina and a demon to life, packed with raw emotion, powerful themes, and surprising twists that will keep you guessing. Sylver Michaela does a phenomenal job of capturing your interest, keeping you engaged, and leaving you desperate for more. It's truly a page-turner that will break your heart into a million pieces and then put it back together. If you haven't read the Sinners Do It Better series yet, you need to add it to your TBR immediately! Trust me, you'll be completely immersed and cheering for this band of demons. Oh, and I'm 110% TEAM COLDIN for the next book! 🥵🥵🥵
I will also say that I also really love the relationship that Perseus has with his bandmate and how you can feel their closeness even though they won't admit it lol. And Harper friendships. It was also really cute seeing Zagan and Iyla!
The Devil and His Goddess brought a unique love story of a Ballerina and a Demon into a heartwarming, gut wrenching, edge of your seat type of sitting to life!!
There is so much more to this book than meets the eye! Sylver Michaela does a phenomenal job of capturing a readers interest, keep them guessing, wanting and engaged with this tale! And not to mention, THE SPICE. 🥵🔥🌶️
The characters are very easy to love (except that one mean girl, IYKYK. Honestly, we’ve probably all known someone like her in life).
Our FMC Harper is a talented ballerina who lives and breathes for dance. She has such an amazing family between her parents and brothers as well as her second family, her best friend Aiysha and her family. They all support her and her passion. And likewise, Harper is there for them. She dances for the Silverlight Ballet company and is, without a doubt, a rising star. She also has no time for anything other than dance, her friends and family.
Our MMC, Perseus, is a delicious incubus demon who is part of a famous band known as Sinners Do It Better. Not only is he a musician, he has a love for all the arts. But most prominent is Dance… specifically Ballet. And when he buys the Silverlight Ballet Company, he doesn’t know that his world is fixing to be turned upside down once he meets the star of Silverlight.
But Perseus and Harper’s story is not all sunshine and butterflies.. Harper has had a stalker for a while and he’s starting to become bolder. When Harper’s world is no longer one she recognizes, will she ever be able to shake the dark and find the sunshine again?
I gobbled Pers and Harper’s story up SO FAST. The spice, the plot, the twist… and the redemption! I got the warm and fuzzies, the tears, the sadness and the overwhelming happiness all in 414 pages. Such a unique story! I loved the demon/ballerina dynamic way more than I expected. The dark aspect of this book was also very delightful to my dark romance heart, but please check with the author about TWs before diving in blind. And of course, the spice!! I give it 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 out of 5! It was supper yummy and didn’t take away from the plot of the book. If you don’t like spice, I’m not saying this book isn’t for you but remember an incubus is a pleasure demon. 😘 overall a 5 star read for me. I stayed entertained and engaged. I never found myself bored or trying to skip over any parts of this book. I can’t wait for book 3!!
Also, I am 110% TEAM COLDIN 🥵🥵🥵
—————————————————————————————— Thank you to Author Sylver Michaela for selecting me as an ARC reader for “The Devil and His Goddess.” I received a ebook copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. I attest that the review above is honest and completely my own.
This book had me absolutely feral. Perseus? That demon is everything. The way he loves Harper with this raw, protective respect and absolute desire and awe made me want to melt into the floor. Also the way he never pushes her and only holds space for her healing was so lovely. I’m obsessed with MMCs who think they’re too dark and broken for love but then fall head over heels (or horns in this case??) for the one person who changes everything.
Harper’s journey gutted me. Her character development, going from a vibrant, happy dancer to becoming shattered and then reclaiming her power, felt so real and so needed. The author doesn’t shy away from the hard topics. The portrayal of trauma and SA was honest, unflinching, and respectful, showing that every survivor’s journey looks different. Watching Harper take back her strength alongside Perseus’s unwavering devotion was honestly cathartic.
And the ballet backdrop? I was obsessed. I loved learning more about the art form! It made me want to go watch Black Swan again and even buy a ticket to a ballet (which I haven’t done in years!). The way Perseus wasn’t just a typical demon but a man who adored ballet as his chosen art, who wrote his own piece that Harper was performing in, added so much depth to his character. The forbidden edge of him being the company owner—her boss—made every interaction between them that much more intense.
And let’s be real…the spice?? Chef’s kiss. Dark, emotional, deliciously intense. All focused on the FMC’s desires, fantasies, and pleasure! Sylver Michaela knows how to balance heat with heart, and this book delivered both in spades.
The “touch her and die” energy, the healing woven into the romance, the demon falling madly in love when he swore he couldn’t… it’s the perfect blend of dark and tender. I will happily continue devouring every book in this series because I am living for these big bad demons discovering they’re capable of the deepest, most soul-wrecking love.
If you want a dark romance that’s equal parts devastating, healing, and spicy enough to burn, this is it. 🖤🔥
The Devil and His Goddess by Sylver Michaela weaves an unforgettable tale, fusing the grace of a ballerina with the darkness of a demon. This story is both moving and intense, with every twist keeping you hooked until the very last page! The Devil and His Goddess has so many layers you won’t expect! Sylver Michaela does an incredible job of pulling you in, keeping you on the edge of your seat, and leaving you craving more. And the heat? Absolutely sizzling!
Harper is a dedicated ballerina, her life consumed by the beauty and discipline of dance. Her world is built on the foundation of a close-knit, loving family, parents, brothers, and her second family in her best friend Aiysha and her loved ones, who cheer her on every step of the way. Harper gives her all to the Silverlight Ballet Company, steadily climbing toward the spotlight, yet her focus remains fixed on her passion, her friends, and the family who always have her back.
Perseus, the magnetic incubus demon, lives for the arts. As a member of the famous band Sinners Do It Better, he’s already a rock star, but his love for creativity doesn’t stop at music. Ballet, in particular, has always captivated him. When he buys the Silverlight Ballet Company, little does he know that his world is about to be completely shaken up by the dazzling star of the company.
I absolutely adored this story! It’s definitely got some heat, and there are a few triggers, so make sure to check them before diving in. The way the author crafts Perseus’ character is fascinating, he starts off viewing Harper as just another conquest, but despite himself, he falls for her in a way that’s both unexpected and undeniable. His love for her is raw, beautiful, and exactly what she needs when she’s at her most vulnerable. And when she’s ready, she loves him just as intensely in return.
•ARC review• Release date: April 25th Book 2 in the Sinners Do It Better series Can be read as standalones, but might be spoiled regarding the first book
On a hiatus band wise, Perseus, long lover of Arts, decides to glorify anew a Ballet venue. Naturally, he engages a Ballet company in which the Prima Ballerina catch his attention. Harper lives off dancing and, conflicted and scared, she brushes off her new boss’s advances. Unfortunately (definitely fortunately) for her, Perseus is persistant and feeds into Harper’s hidden desires. But she doesn’t know it’s him. And he wears a mask. Oh and he’s also a demon.
I knew I would love this book! I loved the first one, The Devil and His Sparrow (Zagan and Iyla’s story), but when I saw the list tropes for TDAHG, I screeched of excitement. Yes, the band members are demons, so it’s a bit wicked, but they are softies. They didn’t think they would be, but they are. Perseus was obsessed with Harper, he would literally do anything for her Goddess. The story takes a darker turn towards the third part and therefore the relationship between the two of them changes. It was painful, but at the same time so cute to see how hard he actually fell for her. As I said, a softie. As for Harper, I loved how passionate she was in her craft and how hard she didn’t want to oblige her penchant for Perseus. Everyone reacts differently to trauma, although I felt like her struggles were authentically ‘’portrayed’’.
If you like reading about ballet, tension, a masked demon and trauma, I highly suggest to read The Devil and His Goddess. Thank you to Sylver for the arc!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.25 /5 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
😈Demon/incubus 😈Human ballerina 😈Stalk3r 😈Masked man 😈He’s obsessed 😈Boss/employee
‘The Devil and His Goddess’ picks up with another Sinners Do It Better band member, Perseus. This one is so much spicier (I would give it a 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️) but it is also a lot darker, please check the trigger warnings. Even with that being said I hope some of you read this and find it cathartic. Sylver has a way of making her characters so relatable that when they struggle you feel as though you are too, but when they start to heal that is magic. You will yourself laughing and smiling even as you are crying. It is beautiful and it’s just more proof that there is light even in the dark.
Do you like fantasy books with demons? Rockstar MMCs with a love for all the arts? Masked men? (Yes I said that. Because HELLO!!!) Shadow daddy? Touch her and 💀? If you answered yes to all of the above this one is for you.
I don’t really go for blondes but Perseus well he is a different breed…. Literally. He saw one video of Harper dancing and that was it took. From that moment he decided he would have her.
Harper had other ideas. Sure, she was attracted but now he was her boss and this attraction was not going to jeopardize her career. When Harper dances the world stops and takes notice, unfortunately the unknown stalker does as well.
No matter what I say here it will never be enough to emphasize how much I love this series so far! You physically see the book playing out from beginning to end in your mind and you don’t want to put it down. Without question I devoured this so fast (less than 24 hours since I got it and it is already READ!) I cannot wait to read more of Sinners Do It Better!
Thank you so much, Sylver, for sending me this ARC to review ❤️🫶🫶🥹
Blurb: Harper is dedicated to ballet and determined to resist the undeniable chemistry she shares with her charming new boss, Perseus. But when danger strikes, leaving her broken, he becomes the only one who can help her put the pieces back together.
For Perseus, watching Harper dance is electrifying, and what starts as playful flirtation soon turns into something much deeper. He knows she has the power to destroy him—but he can’t seem to stay away.
Tropes: 😈 Demon MMC 💃 Ballerina FMC 😈 “Crawl to me” 💃 Masked MMC 😈 “How dare you touch her” 💃 Degradation 😈 Chase play 💃 Touch her & die 😈 Boss x employee 💃 Trauma/ trauma healing
My Thoughts
Sylver has this uncanny ability to draw me in and keep me hooked for hoouurrsss with her endearing characters and immaculately-written spice!!
“The Devil and His Goddess” delivers in its portrayal of a powerful trauma-healing journey, with Perseus transforming from (admittedly) a bit of an arrogant jerkface to a swoonworthy, wholesome book bf who rivals even Zagan from book 1 of the Sinners Do It Better series.
While the dual POV is AMAZING in general, Harper’s chapters in particular steal the show with their rawness, intensity, and moments of utter helplessness and despondency. The emotional weight of her story made me tear up more than once.
And the ending? Absolute perfection. No cliffhanger—just a deeply satisfying and inspiring conclusion.
If you can handle dark themes, this book is absolutely worth the read—just be sure to check the trigger warnings before you dive in ❤️
I did enjoy the book, I will say their first intimate encounter or was intimate for the main male character anyway it was a bit Petty and probably not super necessary in the process but I suppose it added a little element of something to it, but I did enjoy the banter it was workplace. you had a ballerina and a demon (and someone who's in a famous band on top of it) that ran the ballet company, there was a will they won't to it, and while other bits of their intimateness did seem a little off the wall being the fact that he was an incubus and he could read into her fantasies a lot of the ideal that in general she like the ideals the whether it was the idea with him and they wouldn't know until secrets was revealed, I have to add this because I think it is so important please pay attention to the trigger warnings please understand that these are not lightly taken trigger warning there's a major crushing event that happens to one of them but I believe that added to the story element in the fact that you watch the person suffer and the downward spiral and the other one stand by their side even though it was difficult even though they didn't know what to do and I think in situations like that, that is very much exactly how something like that would play out the other person but watching the female character feel after the fact and get back to herself I think was a great realistic element to it and watching the male character kind of coming to himself and realize his feelings was also a beautiful thing to watch, but in the end I did enjoy the book as it came together.
I want to first say thank you for the opportunity to be an ARC reader for this book, for an honest review.
This is the 2nd book in the "Sinners Do It Better" series.
I will start by saying you can read these books out of order, but you will know some of the outcomes and not know some of the characters mentioned as this book proceeds.
Sylver, you did it AGAIN, made me cry again!!!
This book has some deep trigger warnings, and without spoilers i will say that she does an amazing job portraying what those things entail to a T !!!This was sincerely a healing book for me, and the accuracy was top notch!
We follow Harper a professional ballerina, who has a new boss of her company. This boss happens to be the incubus Peruses of the sinners do it better band.
He falls first and immediately wants harper, but him being her new boss well, that's a problem. Harper has some trials along the way and things are not easy. Harper has what it takes to succeed in her career but can she?!The show has to go on right?!
The banter and the spice is well ALL THE PEPPERS!!Perfection in my opinion.
The touch her and die has all the feels.
There is a bully in this story, and she is definitely well represented as such. If i could have gone through the book I would have!!!
if masked men, demons, smut, and trigger warnings are your thing....Pick this book up on release day April 25th!!!
I cannot wait for the third book.
I really appreciate the accuracy this book has and the story that it tells. Thank you Sylver for you sensational writing!!!
When I tell you that I COULD NOT put this book down... I 100% mean it. I stayed up and binged this book. Author Sylver Micaela has created this riveting world where these Demons have become these rockstar gods. And even with their "mask" that they show to the human world they are still these icons that the humans just cannot get enough of. Then insert these humans(FMC's) that have manage to land in their orbit and the flip the script where instead of these demons being the predators they've almost become the prey. They're soulless yet they seem to find just enough soul that it tethers itself to that one human. Harper and Perseus's story is beautifully tragic, raw, passionate, and will have you in a chokehold. This story will have you in all of your feels...and it's worth every minute of it. And y'all Perseus is an Incubus Demon so it gets HOT... like the spice be spicing! Oh and did I mention that he figures out her deepest and darkest fantasies (from her romance novels that she reads) and reenacts them!?! It does touch on some very sensitive subjects, so definitely read the trigger warnings. With that being said this Author has created this group of characters, this found family of misfit demons and they are incredible... their journeys as individuals and as a group are so unique and unlike anything else I have read. I love how original and organic these characters and their stories are! And I am ecstatic to see how the rest of this series develops!
~|Overview|~ The devil and his goddess is a dual POV of the MFC, a ballerina named Harper, or Goddess. And the MMC a devil, Perseus aka Peasant. Perseus is a in a band with other devil, he also had bought the company that Harper dances at.
~|Review|~ the detail that went into the MMC, and all of his friends was so good, though I wish we saw more of their specific powers. I wish we saw more of the dancing aspect, but I’m so glad this book ended with it. The beginning was hard to get into, this read became easier to read towards the end, but I do appreciate the writing and details Sylver has.
~|I loved|~ In general, I just loved seeing the bond between Xander and Perseus, and I just love Xander as a character. In ch.8, when Peasant tells goddesses why he gave her the role as Psyche instead of the swans. Ch.10 when the devils we in the bar in hell. Ch.16 when peasant bought goddess all the stuff Mandi ruined. Ch.17 when he was cooking for her, and his internal dialogue. Ch.23 when Perseus was talking about he’s close to Xander. Ch.28, i loved this intense moment, and how Peasant thought to cover Goddess. When the devils were talking and even them were disgusted. Ch.30, when Aiysha came to try to get Harper to eat. In ch.36 when it showed a good friendship moment between the devils. And lastly, ch.43, when Peasant was talking to Goddess after she finished dancing, and everyone was there

The Devil and his Goddess by Sylver Michaela This book is a dark fantasy romance about an incubus who has a love for the arts of music and dance. He and four other demon friends of his are in a rock band together, and while they are on a break, Perseus buys a ballet company, complete with studio, stage, office, practice rooms, and, of course, the company of dancers, among them Harper. Perseus is totally infatuated with Harper from the first glance! Harper missed the welcome speech earlier in the day, but she made it to the masked welcome party and found a super hot man to dance with! And, whew, did he have some hot moves! But as she is walking back to her table, she doesn’t miss Mandy’s comment about how Harper is already all over the boss, which sent Harper into a tailspin! She quickly made her excuses and vacated the party ASAP! I loved this story! It is pretty 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️, and there are several triggers, so if you are considering this book, be sure to check them out. I love how the author writes Perseus, starting out thinking of Harper as not more than a game, but he falls for her against his own nature; he just can’t help himself. And his love for her is beautiful and perfect and everything she needs when she needs it most. Then, when she was able, she loves him back just as fiercely. I believe that the author is going to write a book for each of the demons in the band. Sounds like several more great books to come!
Oh yall are in for one heck of an emotional ride with this book. It was simply the best though. Heart shattering, but the ending was all worth it. The revenge helped too. 🙌🏻 Yall, I don't think you're ready for Perseus. I loved his character so much. Especially when he started realizing the feelings he was experiencing. Harper was a great character as well and loved how confident she is. But man, the things she ended up going through....absolutely heart shattering. The after math of the events was even more heartbreaking. And seeing how Perseus reacted to it...he cares for her so much. 🥺 And the revenge he sets out to those who hurt Harper. Perfection. Another thing I just enjoyed was the fact that Perseus loved dance. And him dancing with Harper was beautiful. Whenever I read one of Sylver's books it never fails that I have a clear movie playing in my head as I'm reading. She just has a way with describing everything vividly. I just really loved this book and the ending was so amazing. Couldn't be more happy and proud for Harper. ☺️
I'm also even more excited for the rest of the books in this series. We still have Coldin, Xander, and Dante left. And yall, I'm even more freaking excited for Coldin because he's just 🫠🫠.
Thank you so much Sylver for the arc and having me on your team. 🫶🏻🫶🏻
THOUGHTS 💭 🩰 It was fun to dive into the ballet world! The reader gets a behind-the-scenes peek into a production company with our MMC Perseus (who recently bought the company) and our FMC Harper as the prima ballerina. 🩰 Perseus has so many sides; he’s an incubus demon, a rockstar, a ballet company owner/art director, and a masked MMC. And he excels on all sides. 🥵 🩰 Iyla and Zagan and the rest of the Sinners Do It Better crew are back in this second book of the series and I enjoyed seeing them integrate into this new scene with these new characters. I wish we saw more of the demonic world - I found the focus in this book was much more on the human world. 🩰 The tension and slow-burn/build up between our MCs was such a tease. Harper’s desires were dark in the best way and made for fun spice (unknown masked MMC, primal play, degradation, PHEW). 🩰 This book gets D A R K (not just in the fun way ⬆️, but in the traumatic, heart-wrenching way). Please read your TWs - your mental health is important. 🩰 I felt like the author poured herself into these pages. The emotions she wrote, especially in the second half of the book, were next-level and I couldn’t help but feel all the things alongside our MCs.
Thanks so much to Sylver Michaela for the ARC of this book!
