2.5 So much drama!!!
About 70% of this book was boring, so, of course, I ended up skimming a lot.
And the action was stalled. Probably trying to create a chemistry between the characters but well, it didn't really work out.
There were some stuff I enjoyed, I admit. It was a pretty steamy novel and it had its fun moments.
If you like this kind of stuff, it's worth a try. You shouldn't have extremely high hopes for it, but it's really skimmable (is that a word?) (nothing really happens for about 75% of it) so it won't take long to finish and it's better than some other stuff out there.

Temptation is the first book in the Club X series. Club X is a club where you can go to have a drink and dance, but you can also go there if you want to have your sexual fantasies made come true. The club has three owners: Cash, Stefan and Kane. Cash and Stefan are brothers, and Kane is their half-brother. This book is about Cash. Cash does the general managing of the club.
Olivia desperately needs a new job, because she doesn’t have much money anymore. She wants to be Cash’s new assistant and she gets the job. Olivia and Cash work many hours and they work good together. Everything runs smoothly. One night, Olivia gets reminded that she can get her fantasies made come true for free in one of the rooms. She hesitates, but she wants to take a risk and requests a room. When Cash finds out that Olivia requested a room, he doesn’t want another man to touch her but him.
I loved Cash and Olivia. Cash is closed off, rich, hardworking, smart and protective. He’s a little damaged after being betrayed by the woman he thought he would be with forever. He never expected to fall in love again, but there is something about Olivia that he can’t help but love. Cash’s happy that Olivia is someone that loves him at work and when he’s not working, because Cash is a little different when he’s not working. I loved it that the man who’s against fraternization at work falls madly in love with his assistant.
Olivia is smart, loving and insecure. Olivia couldn’t believe that she got fired at her previous job and hoped that she would find a new one soon. She loves working at the club and with Cash. She’s attracted to Cash. Olivia can’t believe that Cash is the man in her fantasy room and she isn’t sure how to react, but she’s happy about it. When Cash wants to push Olivia away, she doesn’t let that happen without a fight. I loved Cash and Olivia together. They are good for each other.
I had planned to only reread some scenes before starting Possession, but I ended up rereading the whole book. I loved this book just as much as the first time I read it. Temptation is the amazing start of the Club X series. There happened a few very unexpected things. I was shocked sometimes. This book was also a great introduction to Cash’s brothers and it made me want to read their books.

Cassian March is a ladies man, he is one of the brothers that owns Club X and he life is perfect. He has all the women, sex and money any man could want. He doesn't do love because of his past. The one that hurt him has ruined him from ever loving anyone. Olivia Lucas has been out of work for a while and her savings is getting low. She needs a job now. When her friend Jake tells her about a job at Club X, Olivia is ready to go after it. She has never heard of the club before but it is a job. After meeting the March brothers, she is attracted to Cassian like she has never been attracted to anyone. But he is out of her league, he dates gorgeous leggy blonde model-types. So she will hide her feelings. After one night spend together will show them both that the attraction is the same for both. Can Olivia spend some time with Cash and not fall for him? Will Cash let her get close? What happens when a woman from his past comes back? This is a great beginning to a new series from K.M. Scott and I am loving it. Can't wait for Surrender (book 2).

Good start to a new series ***3.5 STARS***
First off I received an ARC copy of Temptation (Club X Book 1) in exchange for a honest .
I love KM Scott and her wonderful writing ability. The Heart of Stone series of Tristan and Nina is/was, in baseball terms, a grand slam and I think that is going to be hard to top and may always be used as a base for comparing future works no matter the genre.
AND
I do understand that Temptation (Club X - Book 1) is a new starting point / beginning for this mild (soft) erotic line - BUT - I walked away from reading this first book with a feeling that something was just missing.
Before you start yelling at me - let me explain why.
I happen to be one of those readers who paints a picture of the characters in the books I read. I love getting lost in the pages of those books and just could not seem to do so with this one.
Olivia Lucas , a beautiful redhead, who at the age of 27 has lost her job, with no prospects in site and money running out she manages to secure an interview, through a friend, for a position at Club X.
Cassian (Cash) March, one of three brothers who own Club X. He is the business brains for their unique club and finds himself in need of an assistant.
So ------- Olivia this 27 yrs old somewhat shy inexperienced jobless creature was painted, to me, as someone younger than her years and I found myself disliking her more and more as the story progressed. I know we all have our hate/love relationships going on with characters in most of the books we read, but Olivia's repetitive school girl ways just got to me and not in a good way.
And as for -------------Cassian (Cash) the self professed playboy extraordinaire. I never could get my mind wrapped around him and believe me I so wanted to. And unless I blacked out somewhere along the way his age is still a mystery to me.
I felt parts of the story line seemed rushed and left me wanting so much more. The first steamy scene, in one of the private rooms, was excellently written with its teasing way had me begging for more. The on and off again drama though it was good it did lack true depth.
The book is tagged as ""The Club X Series, a scorching hot new erotic contemporary romance series"" It does fall way short of the darker edgy side of erotica that is associated with most erotic reads these days, so maybe the tag line should be changed to just new erotic contemporary.
SO -------------
Would I recommend this book? - YES in a heartbeat without a doubt in my mind. It is a beautiful written love story with a nice HEA.
Will I read the next two books in the series? - YES and YES! and will be chomping at the bit waiting for the next installment to be released.
Will I go back and re-read this book? - YES... I feel that a second read is much warranted to do true justice to the book. I will read it with a totally different mindset though. And at that time my review may change but for now this is how it is.
I love KM Scott / Gabrielle Bisset and her unique writing ability and highly recommend any of her books in all genres she writes in.
Side note - The true shining star, for me, in this first book in the Club X series would have to be Kane. Oh Yes Mr. Kane.

Oh. I had such hope. First half of the book was a solid 4 stars. Last half was painful to read. Every single cliche you could think of - check!

Words can’t even begin to express just how PHENOMENAL Temptation Club X1 is!! K.M. Scott has hit this one out of the ballpark yet again and she definitely has me chomping at the bit to get to know and spend time with the rest of the Club X brothers.
Cassian and Olivia’s story touched and affected me to the core. The emotion and chemistry between these characters were extremely palpable. The angst, the build-up and anticipation between these two, made their story even much more intriguing and definitely HOTTER!! There’s just something about bad-boys with a past that I have a soft spot for...I just couldn’t help falling in-love with that sexy Cassian.
I loathe a weak heroine, so I absolutely appreciated and LOVED Olivia’s feistiness and how she stood her ground with Cassian. Though the amenities of Club X initially intimidated her, she didn’t let the fear deter her from trying the experience, in hopes that it would make her become more open minded about relationships.
I had such a strong emotional connection with these two characters; I could feel their emotional pain and struggle. Their yearning for one another pulled at my heartstrings and completely gutted me. And…let’s be honest, these two had some extremely AMAZING hotness that had me definitely blushing in a good way and certainly kept me engaged.
“And then he kissed me, his lips soft and warm. They moved over mine like they knew exactly how to excite me. His strong hands cradled my face as our kiss deepened, nearly burning my lips with the heat between us. The first light touch of his tongue on mine made my p*$$y run wet. I wanted to feel that tongue slide over my cl*t as I slipped over the edge into a toe-curling orgasm.” – Olivia
“I can get another job.”…..”I can’t get another Cash.” – Olivia

I fell head over heels in-love with The Heart of Stone series and now Temptation Club X #1, she never disappoints! I cannot wait for Stefan and Kane!! If you couldn’t tell, I highly recommend this book! You HAVE to meet these super sexy Club X brothers!

Can I just say WOW, KM Scott does not disappoint!! First her Heart of Stone series blew me away and now Club X with Cassian March! The tall, dark and sexy businessman. Cassian March owns Club X with his brothers and each one manages a different aspect of the club. This is an illegal club that helps customers fulfill their fantasies.
Cassian March and his brother's own Club X, a club that fulfills peoples' fantasies. These are the three most gorgeous men that are single and women want.
Olivia Lucas is a woman who focused first on her career. Her friends think she needs to let loose and get a little wild.
When Olivia gets a job at Club X as Cassian's assistant, sparks fly and the flirtation starts. Olivia reserves one of the fantasy rooms in hopes of letting loose. After several encounters with a mystery man, who turns out to be Cassian, things get intense between these two. When Cassian leaves her all hot and bothered and walks out on her, Olivia storms in his office demanding why he left her all hot and bothered, he confirms his reasons. Things lead from a heated argument into wild sex in the conference room behind his office.
Things pick up between them and they decide to make it official. But things start spiraling downhill from that point. This was such a great book and I loved how the story just kept going and going. Loved how Olivia had Cassian on his toes and had him begging her for forgiveness. Usually men don't like to beg and just move on to the next. But obviously in this case, Cassian seemed to realize that he found true love again, something he thought would never be possible after his first failed relationship.
You need to read this book, especially if you've read The Heart of Stone series by KM Scott. Her books have a great story line and you will not be disappointed!!

Olivia is the type of hardworking conscientious woman who put her career ahead of partying and having fun and this was working well for her until someone else gets promoted instead and she finds herself out of work. After six months Olivia is getting desperate so when a job at the mysterious Club X presents itself she can't say no. Now Club X is the exclusive members only nightspot that turns fantasies into reality but from the first minute she sees Cassian March, her boss Olivia realises that her perfect fantasy would be him, but since he'd never go for someone like her and she needs this job she takes it even if it means working with someone she wants but can't have, day after day.
I really enjoyed this book I loved Cassian and Olivia, Olivia was intelligent, honest, hardworking and loyal she made a great lead female.
Cassian's had his heart broken in the past and now he only uses women and he's happy, or he thought he was until he sees Olivia and she makes him wonder if there could be more, could he have more even with his past. Olivia's shy and wants to open up, to lose control but most of all she wants Cass but will she still want him when she discovers his history?
There were a couple of bits I wasn't keen on, one of them was when something happened and it was so obvious who was responsible....or so I thought.
Will I read the next book....yes but I'll admit wasn't keen on Stefan but I loved Kane and in order to appreciate Kane's book when it comes out I figure I'll have to read Stefan's.

I just couldn’t feel the connection between these two. I probably gave up too soon, but i just wasn’t feeling it. I have read similar storyline’s and I just was not in the mood to continue with this. It was just starting to heat up too! Oh well, better luck next time.

I was so excited to get my hands on this book. I am a huge fan of K.M. Scott's work. I feel in love with her writing while reading the Heart of Stone series and this book did not let me down. It had all the elements that I love in a book, realistic characters, interesting plot, hot and steamy sex and a little mystery.
The book is told in a dual POV, which at times doesn't work but here it did. It starts with Olivia, going in for a job interview with the owners of Club X. This is where she meets the March brothers, Stefan, Kane and Cassian. She takes the job working as Cassian's executive assistant. She automatically pegs him as the serious brother while Stefan is the fun one and Kane is the scary one. One of the perks of her new job is that she gets all the benefits of a full membership. In an act of bravery, since her friends accuse her of being boring, she books one of the rooms. When Cassian learns of this, he decides he is going to be the one in the room with her.
Cassian, or Cash, can't explain it to himself but he liked Olivia. There is something about her that pulls him in and makes him think she could be something special. After spending some time with her in the private rooms upstairs, he decides that he wants to know even more. However, he has a past that he can't quite escape and as things with Olivia get serious, it comes back to get him. Chaos ensues, there are big misunderstandings and accusations thrown around.
Cash and Olivia want to be together but can't figure out how to get out of the way of their own happiness. When an odd ally comes to Olivia's corner, she sees the light but makes him work for it. And boy does he have a lot to make up for!
Overall, it was an enjoyable read. The secondary characters in the book made everything that much more believable. I thoroughly loved this book and absolutely can not wait to get more of this series. Stefan's book is next and I can't wait to see when the player gets knocked off his game.

Can’t say I’m particularly fond of the hero..at all. He’s using his baggage over a cheating wife to excuse his manho ways and his whiplash, hot/cold, smexy treatment of the heroine. At 65%, it’s revealed … The heroine, Olivia, obviously has little self-respect for herself, due to the way she keeps pursuing him demanding answers when he repeatedly brushes her off after their hot smexy encounters. When ..
I openly admit I skipped over the too numerous very graphic smexy scenes, because I did not feel a real emotional connection between this couple. Plus, there were so many of them it got tiresome.
When the hero once again thinks the worst of the heroine after she’s accused of something she did not do, I found myself not particularly caring if they ever got back together. She really should have known better by this point anyway.
Despite him finding redemption in the end, I’ve come to realize I needed to like him more from the beginning in order to want him to get a HEA. We are told Olivia is a strong person, but she came across as a desperate doormat most of the time.

I really liked this story, it's well written. The characters of the three brothers are well defined each with his own personality. Cash is a bit of a player, he knows from the start that Olivia isn't a one night stand girl, so he intends to keep his distance. But since starting work at the club Olivia realises she needs to loosen up a bit and have some fun. So as she's a staff member she's entitled to book one of the rooms where your fantasies come to life. It's this that makes Cash realise keeping his distance isn't going to work anymore. But what will happen when Olivia finds out Cash's secret. A hot and sexy read. Stefan's book is next he's the biggest womaniser of the three brothers.

I really need to stop getting my hopes up when it comes to freebies. I thought this book would be right up my alley. The whole hot and rich alpha and the slightly innocent woman (Yeah i know cliche, but i love it) and yet i was disappointed. Sure Olivia was a bit shy and innocent, but i didn't like her personality. As for Cassian? Just no. I didn't like him at all. He came across as pathetic in my opinion. The plot was boring and dragged. The sex almost caused me to fall asleep. So yeah. No go for me.

I found this book to be really enjoyable. It had romance, drama/angst and a few WTF moments. I liked Cash and Olivia together and thought they had some great chemistry. My only complaint was the pacing of the story. It was fine until I got to the last few chapters. It felt like the end was really rushed. But, other than that, I did enjoy it and look forward to reading the other brothers stories when they come out.

Not so great writing and a pretty weak story. Not sure why this book was so high on the Kindle bestselling list, but it was only $1.99. I feel no desire to continue reading the series.

Temptation by K M Scott was an awesome read. I have read her Heart Of Stone Trilogy and so I knew it was going to be good and she did not disappoint me! This book is the first of a trilogy, and it was a great start! There is a lot of emotional angst in this book, as well as a few twists and turns to the plot I really did not see coming. Ms Scott's writing style is really impeccable, and it makes it a pleasure to read her books. I have read everything by her, and I know no matter how many books she writes in the future I will automatically pre-order them!
This book is about 3 brothers, who all share a club called Club X. They all do their own thing in the club, so they keep the club running smoothly. Club X is a night club but oh so much more. For the right price you can have any fantasy you want come true. It is a members only club, and very exclusive, and you can't just go in there, buy a membership and that is it, you have to be screened thoroughly first! All the people who go there may go for different reasons, but there is no doubt about it, whether you are going to dance, to hook up with a new person or even more, you will don be disappointed. You can live out your fantasy upstairs, all arranged by the club-you just have to show up!
This first book is about Cassian March and he is the public face of Club X. Cassian is a total alpha male, and he displays it well. He does as he pleases and has most women falling at his feet, even for a one night stand. Everything is always his way or no way. He is the total package, tall, dark, handsome and oh so rich. Things are not always as they seem however,and when you read this you will find out exactly what I mean. Here is a quote to show you what Cassian is like, the oldest brother-

You have to read this book, and let me just say that I can't say much more than the fact that Cassian and Olivia are very attracted to each other, but Olivia knows Cassian is way out of her league, in all ways. Her sexual experience is pretty limited as well,and this is obvious to Cassian as he looks at her. She is very innocent looking, and that is a huge turn on for him as he is used to all the typical fake plastic bimbos he sees, and uses, and then tosses away like yesterday's news. Now Cassian wants nothing more than to claim her, as a matter of fact it is driving him wild.For once Cassian is swimming in uncharted waters. He knows he will have to be careful how he approaches Olivia,if he wants a chance to get to know her.And where does Jake, her friend fit in all of this, he has secretly wanted Olivia for a long time.
What will happen, will they get together? If they do, is it going to be like it always is with Cassian? Or will he want to keep her, if he is lucky enough to get more than 8 hours of work out of her? Will Olivia give him a chance even though she knows the risk she takes, possibly losing her heart? You will have to read this to get the answers to all of these questions, and believe me you do not want to miss out on reading the first book in this new trilogy.

Ok, I am going to do my best on my review. But I just don't think I could ever do justice to how amazing Temptation really is. I loved this book so much and it kinda sucks. Because here I am trying to find myself leaving a good enough review to match how great Temptation really was. But I know I could never do it justice, so I am just going to try.
We start out with Olivia. She is looking for employment and is to the point she will take anything. So when the opportunity presented itself to work at Club X. She just couldn't say no. No matter how many flags might have caught her attention, she had no choice but to take the job. This is where Olivia meets Cassian March.
Cassian is one of the 3 brothers that own Club X. he is the public face of Club X as to where Stafan and Kane run.. O wait. Sorry i can't tell you that. I don't want to give anything away. You will just have to read to see what they handle. So anyways back to Cassian. Cash is well he's pure Sex. Yes I said it. Haven't you ever looked at a guy and and see he just screams sex. Like, look at that guy and I just want to F&*k him? Well that is Cash. No doubt. Everything about this man just draws you in. He is the brother that keeps everything professional so when Olivia walks in his door to work under him. He knows he's screwed, ok maybe not really. Cash seems to think he has everything under control. me HA I laugh. I could tell he was going to be so screwed. He tried denying the attraction. but from the get go I could just sense their chemistry. Right away.. they just clicked. and I knew the story was going to be electric. And boy was it ever. So I can continue to ramble like I always do but you want to know if you should read this. Well heck the freak yes you should. and here is why .
Reading Temptation was like riding one of those thrill rides, where your stomach is already tensing in anticipation on whats to come. And you are just so excited to finally get to go on this ride because you have been waiting for it forever. And now that you have the chance, you just can’t wait to get through the whole thing. I seriously could not put it down. The anticipation on what was to come was killing me. I swear I had white knuckles but the time I was done reading from holding my iPad so tight. KM Scott's writing style is so amazing. She is able to give us both POV"s with no confusion or complications. I always know exactly who's side of the story we are reading. She goes into enough detail where we can truly fall in love with both Olivia and Cash. KM is do descriptive in her writing, I was never left with questions or felt like anything was incomplete. So here I am now Waiting for Surrender (Club X #2) to release like a Vegetarian with no Veggies, Like a crackhead with no crack. I mean can you imagine a vegetarian with no veggies?? YIKES Talk about scary. So yes I suggest you stay away from me for at least 2 weeks while I try to real myself back into the real world from this book. So Come on KM Scott and give us what we want...

Okay, so three brothers own and run a completely illegal club in Florida. Downstairs and the next couple floors up are perfectly normal: dance floor, alcohol, a party every night of the week. But on the top floor, that's where all the real fun happens. That's where these brothers ensure the club's members' fantasies come to life. For some, that's a simple as a chat with an attractive partner. For others... well, a birthday party with a Roman orgy theme is mentioned in the book.
This first book in the (typical formula for erotica) series is about Cassian, or Cash as he's called. He needs a new admin assistant, and he hires the friend of one of the club's members. And of course, they fall for one another not-so-slowly... culminating in a mostly-innocent meeting in one of the top floor's rooms. It's actually a pretty good read, and I'll likely end up buying the next books to see what's what with the other two brothers. Very mild D/s in the form of blindfolds and obedience, but nothing scandalous or hardcore. ;)
Couple things:
- While there is totally a HEA here, there is also annoying OOC flip-flopping by both Cassian and Olivia during the conflict stage. It nearly ruined the book for me, and I rolled my eyes super hard more than once.
- There's an attempted rape scene. Fair warning. It... wasn't actually solely treated as a plot device, but it was there and I feel readers should always be made aware of such things.

Cassian 'Cash' March is gorgeous, sexy and restrained. Olivia is honest and sweet, and pushes herself out of her comfort zone.
The story moved along quite well, however, I found that, mainly towards the end, the story skipped parts in the timeline that could have been detailed in and, hence, felt a bit rushed. I can't quite explain it but, by the time I finished the book, I just felt a little bit dissatisfied.
Olivia is supposed to be inhibited and comes across as being quite straight and serious - but then she's gutsy and confrontational, and she's happy to drop the 'f' bomb. Cash is supposed to be cold, a bit repressed, but at the same time a bit of a player and charmer. His character was the most contradictory of the two.
There were some good love scenes and sensual moments, and I loved the idea of Club X. Overall, it was on the verge of being a really great book but it seemed to be missing something. I hope the following two books about Cash's brothers, Stefan and Kane, will be a lot better and more developed. I'm most looking forward to Kane's story. I think his character and storyline will be the most interesting and exciting.

*Fans self* Oh my lord, extra panties are totally needed. All I want for Christmas is a March man. Olivia that girl may come off shy and timid but you get her pi**ed you're gonna know it, "you're an a**hole, you know that? You knew I liked you, and still you left me sitting there tonight and had your brother tell me you were showing up." Cash, there are no words to describe that hunk of a man, (except I think I just did), he gets my blood pumping in areas you do not want to know about ladies, "good. By the way, I've been hard since I decided on this, so you've been warned. If we don't make it all the way to our destination, I'm more than prepared to eff you in the car." Great start the the series and I can't wait for Stefan and Kane's books (in other words HURRY UP MS. SCOTT).

I loved this book!!! Great start to what appears to be a promising and very sexy and hot series!!!!!! I loved Cassian aka Cash.....Olivia, I liked a lot just not loved her as much as him. Her character was not the best for me and certainly was not the worst but I think that with a few tweaks she could have been better for me to love but that's just my take on her, very good just not great. By the end of the book I did borderline love her, lol! I truly loved, loved, loved this couple by the end and cannot wait to see their journey continue while reading about his sexy as hell brothers:) Great job and a must read!

For a book that sounds as if it was going to be filled with kinky BDSM, and 50 Shades of Gray puke rip off - I was rather disappointed this book's sex is so vanilla. I expected a lot kinkier and varied sex than what this book delivers. Some good, very light submissive sex at the beginning of the courtship between the two main characters. Great characters that I could empathize with, and obviously set up for easy follow on stories with the romantic interests of the other brothers. Some light cock-blocking between the brothers which could have been a little more humorous but otherwise no cheating, or other great angst. Surprise with an ex-wife in the mix with an interesting and unique twist.
