This is the fourth book in this awesome series and this is Mackenzie and Creed’s journey.
Mackenzie has had a tough life, and when she crosses paths with Creed a one night stand becomes more. As their lives become entwined with chaos and deception, Mackenzie is set up to have caused Creed to be imprisoned for 12-years. Creed is now a free man and he is focused on vengeance with Mackenzie his target. What will happen when Creed discovers the truth?
This is a well written story which is dark, raw, and gritty, with family, dynamics, friendships, emotions, betrayal, lies, manipulation, trauma, chaos, secrets, forbidden romance, revelations, vengeance, danger, suspense, intrigue, palpable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, twisted, and unpredictable, thrilling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

One hot encounter between MacKenzie and Creed led to their lives gecomjng way more entwined than they wanted. Secrets, lies and underhand people that took great pleasure in causing problems for both of them. All of which got in the way of them being together as well as 12 years away from each other. Leading them turning into different people but underneath hurt feelings their attraction still remained. I liked the dynamic that they had together. Both dark and steamy. This was a good read with characters that kept me gripped from start to finish.

He's going after Mackenzie...BUT...
I totally enjoyed this dark romance!

Kenzie & Creed
Things are finally coming together and linking back to St Judes with Kenzies story. A ONS becomes her stepdad and after jailtime, I think that runs concurrent to book 1's time jump, he poses a threat to Kenzie & St Judes. It wouldn't be great as stand alone but has better focus on them as a couple.
