Camelot has fallen. Merlin has one chance to save King Arthur’s legacy.
Today, thanks to Mason Gideon, his risky plan may just save the world. Find out what happens AFTER the death of King Arthur in this contemporary fantasy trilogy.
Mason Gideon didn't expect much his thirteenth birthday. A small cake with his single mom, a couple laughs with his best friend Rhys, and maybe a “happy birthday” from Elizabeth, the landlord’s granddaughter who he's had a crush on for years.
What he got was an adventure for the ages…
On his thirteenth birthday, everything changes for Mason Gideon when he discovers he can use magic. Saving his friend from the school bully using that magic puts him and those he cares about in danger.
Soon, Mason is on the run, aided by descendants of the Knights of the Round Table, learning about King Arthur’s lost son, and looking for the mythical sword Excalibur.
As Mason and his friends race across Great Britain deciphering clues to find the sword, they encounter legendary Arthurian heroes and an immortal enemy who seeks to use Mason to recover Excalibur for himself.
Will young Mason Gideon use his newfound magic and inner strength to wield Excalibur…or will evil claim it?
An exhilarating blend of mystery and action set in a modern-day Arthurian legend. Perfectly tailored for young readers, this captivating debut promises an unforgettable start to a remarkable middle grade series.
I really enjoyed reading Mason Gideon and the Caves of Fate. Normally I don’t read fantasy books but my nieces and nephew were excited about this one so I thought I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised to read about this wonderful adventure and it had my attention from the very first chapter to the last. I am looking forward to the second book in this series.
Mason Gideon and the Cave of Fate is an exciting mix of adventure, Arthurian legend, and self-discovery.
The story follows Mason, an ordinary teenager who discovers he’s destined to wield Excalibur. Along the way, he’s joined by a great cast of characters his loyal friend Rhys, the clever Elizabeth, and the mysterious Harrington.
The villain, Blackthorne, is both ruthless and tragic, making him a compelling antagonist.
The book does a great job blending real history with magic and prophecy, creating an immersive world.
With epic battles, deep emotions, and a strong theme of fate versus free will, this is a great read for fantasy fans.
Think “Percy Jackson” but with King Arthur and the Round Table. This novel caught my attention with its awesome cover art. Set in Wales, a teen discovers he has magic powers on his thirteenth birthday. That’s when a baddie from the 500s starts pursuing him, and the feeble old man in his apartment building turns out to be a descendant of one of the Roundtable members. Mason ends up on a quest for mystical artefacts with his two friends in tow. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and can’t wait for the next one. The authors write with a sense of humor and definitely did their research for this novel.

Authors Green and Rodgers have crafted a fast-paced and heart-warming tale that readers of any age can delight in. The friendship between Mason and Rhys was one of the aspects I enjoyed the most and made for a perfect centerpiece as together they fall face-first in an eye-opening world. Definitely looking forward to the next installment in this series!
