🔥 Fake dating was supposed to be simple. Then feelings got involved. 🔥
Emma Caldwell is in big trouble. Her small-town bakery, Sweet & Flour, is on the brink of collapse, and she’s out of options—until billionaire Marcus Lancaster walks in with a ridiculous proposal. He needs a fake fiancée to clean up his reputation. She needs cash to save her business. The deal is three months, no strings attached.
But nothing about Marcus is simple. He’s arrogant, infuriatingly handsome, and way too good at pretending this is real. One stolen kiss under twinkling lights? Fine. A heated dance at a town festival? Definitely not in the contract. And when he steps into her world—failing spectacularly at small-town life but trying anyway—Emma’s carefully built walls start to crumble.
Marcus doesn’t do relationships. Emma refuses to be another billionaire’s fling. But when their fake engagement starts to feel a little too real, and her bakery—and heart—are on the line, she has to wonder…
Is their deal just a recipe for disaster, or the perfect mix for happily ever after?
🔥 Perfect for fans of fake dating, small-town shenanigans, billionaire grumps who secretly have big hearts, and slow-burn romance with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. If you love books by Sarah Adams, Meghan Quinn, or Lucy Score, you’ll devour this swoon-worthy romcom!
This was a cute story, but the timeline got me confused, I was listening to the audio, but I had to download it to my kindle as I thought there were parts missing. It was not the case, it was just that the story isn’t consistent, as in one chapter they’re going to a ball, but in the previous it wasn’t even mentioned that they were going on a date!!! The book is full of this, I mean, the editor didn’t do a good job and that’s for sure!
Besides the fact that the story was all scattered around, it was a nice one. Their meet cute was super fun, Marcus was such a spoiled brat and Emma was this fiercely independent woman, which I loved.
I can’t say that is an enjoyable reading, but it still is a nice one.
dnf at 72% after emma kissed marcus, got him to confess and be vulnerable with her, just to flee the day after and say it was all a mistake, for drama purposes.
this book is confusing, i bet it wasn’t even edited, the pacing was off and the characters were nothing special. we don’t get to know much about marcus, is almost always centered around emma.
couldn’t finish it.

Baker falls in love with a billionaire, not the conventional way but only by accident, what started out at a contract can only poof with some little bits of love and flour.
