A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn't end up in the air conditioner. But when the kids are at school and it's not quite wine o'clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.
A lover of all things decadent; wine, cheese, chocolate and spicy erotic romance, Whitley brings the humorous side of sex, the ridiculous side of relationships and the suspense of everyday life into her stories. With single dads, firefighters, Navy SEALs, mommy wars, body issues, threesomes, bondage and role-playing, Whitley’s books have all the funny and fabulously filthy words you could hope for.

5 star review Falling For The Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #10) by Whitley Cox
I really didn’t want to start this book because I knew that once I was finished, the series would be at an end. I have been waiting for Liam Dixon’s story and I knew that the woman who would bring him to his knees would need to be amazing and Richelle LaRue is.
Liam started the Saturday poker night as a means for single dads to get together as a support group. When we first met Liam he was a bitter man who had no time for love or romance.
The chemistry between Liam and Richelle (Tink) is intense but oh so hot and steamy. Neither of them are prepared to admit either to themselves or one another that their weekly hookups have developed into so much more. However, once Liam realises he wants more it was interesting to watch as he tried to convince Richelle to take a chance with him.
However when a woman from Liam’s past turns to them for help, danger will rear it’s ugly head and everyone will be at risk. Will the feelings that have morphed between Liam and Richelle remain strong when truths are finally revealed?.
Perhaps it was the connection that was obvious between them, or the fact that their relationship developed despite themselves that really intrigued me. Whatever it is Falling For The Single Dad was an entertaining book with amazing characters who you cannot help but become invested in.
There were appearances from all my favourite people and for me Whitley Cox has brought the series to a close with a fabulous second chance at love story that I highly recommend.
OMG! Are we seriously getting another single parents series?? Because I'm in! I'm not done with Whitley's single parents series and I was so excited when I read the sneak peek!
Back to Richelle and Liam's story, I would say he's my most anticipated single dad in the series after being teased of his story from previous books. Also from how the other guys and their women keep on questioning him about his Wednesday night woman.
I feel like their story is more deep than the other guys, because of what happened to the both of them. Now we know why Richelle's so passionate of the things she do, especially for abused women. It's also why the arrangement she have with Liam should not go beyond what it is. But for Liam, seeing his friends happy with their new life and women, he thought he could finally get a second chance at that.
Liam and Richelle’s story will for sure touch your heart. Like I said, this has more depth than the previous books. Their journey was definitely not an easy one
Liam's story DID NT disappoint. His and Richelle's story was a great read and great finale for the series. They both are extremely strong leads which is why they work together. You finally get to see what has harden Liam and molded him to who is his and why he is like that. With Richelle you also understand how she became a strong, independent female. Together they are explosive. A blast from Liam's past unexpectedly brings issues into both their lives and from there the story takes off. This story also had me LOL a few times. BY the end you can tell there is build up to what is hopefully a new series by this author. Great read!!!
Falling for the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle Book 10) by Whitley Cox was a great 5 star read.
Liam and Richelle are both divorce lawyers that have been having no strings attached Wednesday night sleepovers. Liam has been wanting more lately but he’s not sure if Richelle is ready for that.
Richelle has moved on from her past and created a new life and identity with her daughter. She is very cautious when drinking with friends. When Richelle goes away for work she ends up in a scary situation with a man. Luckily she gets away but….it’s not the last time she sees this man.
Moving forward Liam convinces Richelle to try for more between them. When Liam’s ex shows up looking for help both Richelle and Liam agree to help her. The ex is a scary Russian criminal who will stop at nothing to get her.
Will Richelle and Liam be able to help her get away? Will they also finally get the relationship they both have craved?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. I was shocked when Richelle’s secret came out, so scary. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. Both Richelle’s daughter and Liam’s son were great. If you're looking for a great steamy read with some thrilling twists this is your read. 1-click and get started today.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Reviewed by MAustin from Alpha Book Club
This book. I have read them and as each one comes up they get better and better, however, I have to say that by far this one was my favorite. It was fun and suspenseful and boy let me tell you hot hot hot. I loved the no-nonsense attitude of the heroine. She was great. Then there was Liam. I loved him. Hew was strong and controlling but when it came to his bedroom activities he let Richelle take the lead.
Richelle is a single mom lawyer that has some demons and skeletons in her closet. Liam is a single father and the last member of the Single Dads of Seattle. He has watched all of his friends and even his brother meet their woman and fall in love. He wants to love and have a relationship event hough he was burned by his ex-wife.
Richelle’s life is about her daughter Mallory and keeping her past hidden and far away from her. Richelle like her arrangement with Liam and doesn’t want to change anything. No emotions, no feelings, no getting attached. One night a week only. On a business trip, everything changes. Both of them have so much in common. When Liam’s past comes back into his life Richelle is there to lend a helping lawyer hand. That’s when it comes crashing down for Richelle
This book has everything from love, friendship, and lust, to the love of a child and suspense. I like seeing Liam and Jordie react they have a great relationship, Which in turn helps him understand Richelle’s life revolves around her daughter. I also liked the progression of Liam and Richelle’s relationship. We also get to read about the other dads that have found their loves as well.
This book was a great read and I couldn’t put it down. The banter was awesome and I liked it when Liam and Jordie met Mallory for the first time. Jordie is a smart boy and has a great personality. Like father like son. A lot is going on in this book but I still stand by the fact it was hands down my favorite in the series. Sadly, it is also the last book but we get a glimpse of a side series that I am looking forward to reading. The Single Moms of Seattle. Can you say sign me up?
'THE SINGLE DADS OF SETTLE - A SERIES THAT YOU CAN RE-READ TIME AND TIME AGAIN AND IT WILL STILL FEEL LIKE THE FIRST READ
I am in awe of Whitley Cox's writing skills; how Ms Cox has managed to write 10 yes 10 unique books within one series is beyond me. Each of 'The Single Dads in Settle' has gripped my imagination from start to finish. I have fallen in love with each dad; with each of their children and the women that have final won their hearts.
It was only fitting that the final book would focus on Liam the founding member of "The Single Dads'. He has watched his brother and each of is friends fall for the women now in their lives. But Liam is a cynic - he has had two loves of his life - one at 18 who's family was important then Liam and then his ex wife who slept with her spin instruction 6 months after their son Jordon was born! 8 years on they now share joint custardy.
Liam is happy or should I say was happy with his arrangement with another attorney Rochelle every Wednesday for the last 3 years he and Rochelle spend one night together no strings; no questions. They eat take away and get hot and heavy under the sheets - well not necessarily under the sheets but you get my drift! But now all his friends have found their happiness something inside Liam is changing and maybe Wednesday nights isn't enough anymore.
For Rochelle her past and what she endured by her ex husband has kept her emotionally closed off she lives for her work and her 13 year daughter Mallory - she is happy with her Wednesday nights no strings attached arrangement with Liam - or she thought she was until Liams first love makes an appearance needs his services as lawyer and for the first time ever the little green monster appears -while Rochelle and Liam navigate these new turn of events - Liam's ex Beth's case is getting more complicated and more deadly - what isn't Beth telling them? and could it lead their families to be in danger and the walls that surrounded Rochelle that were finally coming down be built up again to such an extent that Liam has to prepare to be the only 'Single Dad of Seattle' left!
Well done Whitley Cox for this throughly well worth the 5* rating story and series - I was sad to see this story end but I did let out slight 'YELP' and fist punch in the air when I saw that next up is a new series 'The Single Moms' - and if this series is half as good as the one I have just finished us readers are in for a treat in the coming months!
I have been eagerly anticipating the fall of Liam Dixon and his ball busting "Tink" since the first book in the Single Dads of Seattle series and Whitley Cox did not disappoint!! While you definitely want to get to know all the other fantastic characters in the series, this book can be read as a standalone.
Liam Dixon and Richelle LaRue have been giving each other the dirty business for over three years. A standing Wednesday night no-strings booty call is the perfect arrangement for these two commitment phobes, so when Liam begins catching feelings, Richelle isn't feeling it at all! Her philosophy is "get in, get off and get out and trust no one while doing it". Liam knows there is more to Richelle's story but to say she's not a "sharer" is an understatement. She's a bitch on wheels most days but he is insanely drawn to her and their chemistry is off the charts, so he's let her call the shots until now. But as he's watched his friends each meet the women of their dreams, he begins to see those dreams for himself. He wants more...and he wants it with her.
When a woman from his path comes to them for help, he and Richelle are suddenly in the middle of something dangerous and unpredictable. Whatever happened to Richelle in the past is also affecting their present and the future Liam wants for them. Will he be able to convince his Tink they're worth the risk?
Holy wow, this book was a big old pile of yummy. Liam and Richelle light up the sky with all their fireworks and it was a pleasure watching Liam break down her walls. I loved watching Richelle learn to trust again and I'm stoked about her ideas for the future. I'm hopeful we'll see more of that play out in future books! All my favorite characters from past books were here, in fine form. I loved everything about the Single Dads of Seattle and I'm sad to see the series end! Can't wait for the Single Moms edition!!
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, pain, danger, murder, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Hired by the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #1) Dancing with the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #2) Saved by the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #3) Living with the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #4) Christmas with the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle Book 5) New Year's with the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #6) Valentine's with the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle Book 7) Neighbors with the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #8) Flirting with the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #9)
This is Richelle and Liam’s story. Richelle and Liam have a friend with benefits relationship that they have kept the same for years. But Liam wants more. He has watched his friends all fall and overcome pain from past relationships. He knows that he wants more with Richelle and would like to try for something with her. Richelle has many secrets that she is not willing to share. So, keeping Liam in the friend’s zone keeps her secrets safe. But when an old ex of Liam’s comes back into the picture and needs help, they agree to help and at the same time try for a relationship. But when all the secrets come out will they be able to trust each other? What happens when danger comes, and they get caught in the crossfire. Will they be able to stay together or will that danger force them to let go of each other?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
Can’t believe this is the end of this series – but it went out with a bang! After all the other single dads have found their HEA, Liam is the only hold out left, but it seems that his views on relationships are changing after seeing all his friends. Throughout the other books, we find that Liam has had a version of a relationship with a fellow lawyer, Richelle. There are so many secrets surrounding Richelle and what happened in her life to cause her to be such a bulldog lawyer. And when Liam wants to change their arrangement, it spooks Richelle and causes all her secrets to be exposed after she decides to try and give things a shot. This was the absolute perfect ending both for this couple but also for the series as a whole. I was also so excited to find at the end of the book that there will be an extension of this series, starting with Liam’s sister surrounding single moms! This series started my obsession with Whitley’s books, and I’m so glad I can continue that obsession with this next series! Can’t wait! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Liam is the lone hold out of the Single dads group, but his feelings are starting to change, and they are changing for his regular Wednesday night sex buddy, Richelle. She fights it, HARD. Both divorce lawyers, him more for men, her more for wronged women, but it is more than that.
Richelle has a dark past, and she starts to get nervous when he wants more. Her interactions with men have only led to negative experiences. She wants to leave that which is not broken. She wishes for more, but knows that ain't possible for her.
When an HS sweetheart of his comes back needing their assistance they both jump to help her. As the woman's story unfolds Richelle will be shocked by the six degrees of separation being a lot closer than she would think.
When these two slowly start to try for "more" evil will risk more than just their HEA it could mean losing their lives or loved one's losing theirs.
Good read, nothing WOW, I wanted more from Richelle's past, I wanted more from the conclusion of the plot twist. It was good but not great IMO
After being burnt by his ex Liam didn’t think that he would ever open his heart to the possibility of love again but Richelle has unknowingly broken through his walls and he is starting to feel like their casual relationship is not enough.
Richelle may enjoy the time she spends with Liam, but she isn’t about to let anyone close enough to hurt her again. She believes that what they is all she needs but will he be able to convince that what they could have would be so much better?
If the turmoil in their arrangement isn’t enough Liam’s past is able to turn their carefully constructed world upside down. The characters are compelling, the storyline draws you in and catching up with the other characters we know and love is always fun.
What happens when you find your 3 years friends with benefits arrangement leaves you wanting more... Well this is the situation that Liam finds himself in and he finds he wants more from their Wednesday night arrangement. Their chemistry is off the charts and when she walks in on him and his ex talking she thinks its game over but what she actually has her offering her help without even thinking about it. What they uncover has them working together and has Liam working even harder trying to get her to agree to date him. i will admit I didnt like Richelle much at first I jus couldnt warm to her but by the end she broke through my barriers. I enjoyed this story and loved the other characters too.
This is the 10th and concluding book in this amazing series and I am sad that this has come to an end. This is Liam and Richelle’s story. Liam is the founder of “The Single Dad’s” club where the guys would have a support system. Liam and Richelle who are both divorce attorneys, have had a standard Wednesday no strings attached booty arrangement for the past few years, but as he watches all of his pals find their significant others and settle down, he realizes that he wants the same thing, but Richelle has other ideas as she is happy as they are. This is a well written story which has intense chemistry, danger, emotion, and twists, which all lead to a steamy read. I look forward to finding out what this author brings to us next, and I highly recommend for all.
Acquaintances with benefits. Yeah, can't really call them friends. Until all Liam's friends are partnered up and happy. Oh, they still have their Saturday night poker game, since it is at his house even though he is the only single guy left. He begins to want more. Does Richelle?
No! Absolutely not. (when you find out why you may be a little more forgiving than I was.), She has her teenage daughter, and oh is she a teenage girl. She has her work and that is enough. Yet, later when she is put in a position where she can't really say no she begins to find the women that go with the unsingle dads aren't so bad, and maybe a friend would be okay.
A tough story with some tough situations. But, a good one to end the series with. Don't worry a new series with single moms is coming up and I can't wait. This one has lots of steam, plenty of emotions, and some great visits with old friends. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
I'm so sad that this series is over! I have loved every book and I was dying for Liam & Richelle's book! These two had so much chemistry that I couldn't put the book down until I got to see their HEA. The added drama of Liam's ex and her husband had me on the edge of my seat. This was such an amazing ending to a wonderful series.
Liam and Richelle's Wednesday night escapades has been well known throughout the series. No strings attached and no sleepovers have been the norm for the past few years. But what happens when Liam wants more? Will he be able to knock down the walls she has erected? Or will the baggage from her past be the factor that keeps him at arms length? Highly emotional and wonderfully entertaining, this book was fabulous. Once i started it I could not put it down, and the twists that Whitley Cox pulls into the story I never saw coming. The perfect ending to a series I have enjoyed from Day 1. I cannot wait to read the next series. Whitley Cox never disappoints.
Oh, how I have waited for the final book in this Single Dads of Seattle series. The last man standing, who hasn't taken the plunge into falling in love again, is the mighty man.....Liam. He is a divorce lawyer (liar, as his son calls him, lol) and he started the Single Dads of Seattle weekly poker night to help other guys relax and have a support team. These guys, like himself, have lost their marriage and are trying to find their footing with raising kids, having careers and possibly finding love again. Liam had been against anything to do with commitment and relationships. It has been fine having a Wednesday f@@k buddy for the past three years. However, having watched his other single dad friends find amazing women, Liam is reconsidering his take on relationships and commitment. Richelle has been his weekly hook up and he wants more from her now. That was never the agreement and Richelle is sure set to not change things. Liam isn't swayed one bit, challenge accepted.......one way or another she will be his!
Richelle is an amazing divorce lawyer that fights for the women she represents. Liam even admits that she is better than him. Richelle has had a lot of drama in her past and she has secured a very thick wall around her heart and no man, including Liam, will ever be able to work their way in. She doesn't trust easily and throughout this book we learn why she is the way that she is. We even learn why Liam is the way he is too. How will these two jaded, strong willed, bull-headed individuals come together? Oh, this book is amazing and the situations that they go through until they finally can admit their feelings are heartfelt and down right emotional. Both of them have to face their past but in the present time and let go of the hurt and find a way to deal with it while finally trusting each other with their heart. These two are amazing individuals, but together they are just magnificent.
Whitley Cox has truly written a great book to finish this series. We all love Liam in all the previous books, but it was such a joy to really dig further into who he really is and why he feels the way he does. It was also nice to get to know the elusive Richelle and her teenage daughter too. Please do yourself a favor and read this series in order and save this book for last. You will get to catch up with all the Single Dads and their families and this book is the perfect ending to a great series.
I've been waiting for this book for so long that I started it at 1am... Guess what happened... I didn't sleep a thing. Whitley Cox has that effect on me. Her books are to die for and you won't be able to stop reading once you start it. Her writing is hot and sweet, sassy and intense. Just trust me on this. You won't be disappointed. Falling for the Single Dad is her latest release and it's the tenth book from the Single Dads of Seattle. But I need to tell you something. Despite the fact that all books are standalones I totally advise you to read all books in order. By doing so, you will have the chance to know each dad and to have a glimpse of each character. This new book explores the lives of Liam and Richelle. Liam is a well known lawyer with a stellar reputation. He's focused not only on his career but also on his son. He lives for him and him only. A relationship isn't in the cards for him but a steady hook up, with no attachments is. But... Richelle is a feisty lawyer that doesn't take shi*** from no-one. She's a single mother and, just like Liam, she divides her attention between her son and her career. A relationship isn't in the cards for her but she has a soft spot for the sexy Liam. It's just sex and nothing more but... I was at a loss of words when the book ended. I was stunned, I was happy, I was so freaking happy. This book was what I wanted and a bit more. Superb plot, very well written, super engaging and intense. It was perfect, it was amazing, it was just what I wanted. These two are stubborn, oh boy... So stubborn that I wanted to slap them... Seriously... It was the push and pull, it was the hot stuff, it was perfect. Sometimes you need to let your fears go and don't be afraid to be happy. Life is not all sunshine and rainbows, but that doesn't mean you can't fight for what you want. Betrayal, crime, punishment, violence are very present in this book as well as love, loyalty, family bonds and true friends. And let's not forget the hot stuff... Of boy... Some scenes were freaking amazing... Whitley... What can I say? You nailed it. You gave us just what we wanted and it was perfect. It was perfect in every way. Can't wait for your next series.I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Wow! I’ve been waiting with anticipation for Liam’s story and it did not disappoint. As I’ve come to love all of the Single Dads, I think Liam really stole my heart, and I’m so sad to see their series end, but I’m excited for what’s to come. Liam has been hurt in the past and carries his dislike of love and committed relationships like a chip on his shoulder, but as he sees his Single Dad friends, opening up to love and marriage, he has to wonder if he’s missing out on something great. Richelle, well she’s a feisty one, and Liam has this cute nickname for her and he uses it quite often, Tink. It’s so appropriate. Richelle keeps Liam on his toes and absolutely does not want anything more than what they have right now and that’s Wednesday nights together, dinner and a romp in the hay.
These two have been doing this for years and it’s time to push for more and when Liam opens up about what he wants he’s afraid that will push Richelle away, but just maybe it will make her see what’s right in front of her, and that's Liam. So much to learn about each other, their pasts, the hurt, the love, their children. Richelle has secrets that she's kept close to the vest and little by little Liam is proving to be more than what she thought he was. Could he be the one?
When an old flame shows up out of nowhere asking Liam for help, Richelle can’t help wondering if Liam might want her back? Is she jealous? Why is she feeling this way? These two are so made for each other, both stubborn as all get out, when they love, they love with everything they have and when danger rears its ugly head, all Liam wants to do is comfort and protect Richelle, but the question is, is it too much too fast for her, can she accept what Liam wants to give or will she walk away from it all? I guess you need to read to find out. They are sexy, steamy, funny, and the banter between them and between Liam and the guys was amazing. I recommend this book.
I have been eagerly anticipating the fall of Liam Dixon and his ball busting "Tink" since the first book in the Single Dads of Seattle series and Whitley Cox did not disappoint!! The final book in one of my all time favourite series and yes I was afraid to start this book because I really didn’t want it to come to a end but Ms Cox certainly left the best for last. Liam Dixon is the dad who has intrigued us right from book one, he was the dad who seemed happy with his one night a week hook up with Richelle LaRue but she is about to bring him to his knees, she is about to make him realise he wants what every other dad in this series has found....Love . Liam started the poker group as a support group for his single dad friends but over the years they have each found love and happiness normally with the help and advice from the group but Liam was never ready to take that advice until now. Over this series we have got to know all the dads but Liam was the one who’s character has really developed, he started off as bitter and twisted and over time as we got to know him he turned into a man we would all love to have at home waiting for us. I don’t want to give to much of the story away because I believe this book is best read with no preconceived ideals and no expectations, it’s a love story with all the feels, it’s romantic, it’s steamy but it also has danger and intrigue woven throughout as a woman from Liam’s past arrives needing help to escape her dangerous husband. Was I sad to see this series end, of course but what a perfect story to bring the whole series to an end, Falling for the Single Dad is a perfect addition that ties this series together and I loved catching up with all the other dads and their partners from previous books. This series will be read and re read because I loved everything about all the characters and I highly recommend it to all romance lovers. Ms Cox gives us well written stories that touch our hearts and stay with us even after the final line has been read.
Finally Liam gets to be the center of a story, we have read some about him in the other Single Dad books in this series. Always the supporter, the friend, the goto divorce attorney. But because of his past relationships and his job he is jaded, no serious relationship no commitment. Well the one night a week "date" he has with Richelle is just that a commitment, but neither admits it. Richelle has been there and it has proven disastrous so she is on board with no relationship no expectations. Lately though, Liam is looking at his friends, they have all been down the same road he is now following the no relationship, no strings, no expectations only hookup road, they have all walked it, some longer than others. But now? They are happy. Starting a new path and not walking alone anymore, they've found that one person who completes them. Richelle on the other hand is perfectly happy with the current arrangement, she will hate to lose Liam but if he keeps hinting toward a commitment she'll walk away. It takes a blast from Liams past to come knocking on his door to ruffle her apple cart in more ways than one. She's beautiful, vulnerable and about to be single again. Richelle has a new dilemma and she is not sure what the best thing to do is except help the woman and keep her emotions in check. Is that jealousy she is feeling. This maybe what she needs as a wake up call.
The friendship and easy banter between the characters is a wonderful addition to the story The intimate scenes are creative and very informative. The family bonds are heartwarming. This is noted as the last of the series and what a send off it is. I thankful to have followed these characters from the beginning. I can't wait to read more from this author. I received a advanced copy of this book for my honest review
This is the tenth book in the Single Dads of Seattle series and Ms. Cox has definitely saved the best for last. This is Liam’s story and the one I have been anxiously awaiting. It is filled with sugar, spice and a whole lot of goodness that readers will just want to sink their teeth into and not let go. It can be read as a standalone but as the other single dads and their women make appearances, it is a good idea to read the books in order from the beginning. Liam Dixon is no stranger to the heartache and pain that love can bring and for the past few years, he has been dishing it out to his friends and hopping on the anti-love bandwagon until he finally meets the one woman who makes him rethink his opinion. Richelle LaRue is a woman with a bit of a tortured past as she gave her love and trust to a man who abused her. Fighting to make some changes, she picked herself up, took her daughter Mallory and moved away and became a hard-nosed attorney. From the first time Liam met Richelle, their banter was stilted as she seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. However, there was something underneath that just pulled Liam in. This led to the two becoming bed buddies every Wednesday, dinner included. Fast forward three years, and the friends with benefits situation is not all it’s cracked up to be and Liam is looking for more. Will Richelle be able to let down her walls and trust him? Adding insult to injury, and old girlfriend of Liam’s re-enters the picture as she needs some help which causes Richelle’s wheels to start spinning with regards to Liam’s feelings for his old flame. This is one killer storyline that has twists that will cause your jaw to drop. It is about empowerment, overcoming obstacles, and finding what you need. I highly recommend this book. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Richelle LaRue and Liam Dixon. Liam started a group for single dads after he realized there was nothing out there for men. Sure he could have sucked it up like some men did but he wanted to have real friends who understood what he was going through and he could possibly help with what they were going through. This started their saturday night poker group. One by one though he is seeing his friends find new love. Women who not only love the men but the children they have as well. He wonders is it possible to have that with Richelle or is their wed. hook-up all it will be and is he really ready to settle for that? Richelle has a past that would destroy a lesser woman, she however is not that kind of woman. With what has happened in her past she isn't willing to put her heart on the line for a man again. Her body where she calls the shots sure but more she doesn't think that is in the cards for her. So when Liam starts talking about more she has to decide how much is she willing to risk to possibly have it all? Will these two find a HEA with each other or is the past just to much to overcome?
This is an amazing conclusion to this series. Each of the stories can be read as stand alone's but I recommend reading them in order so you don't ruin any surprises. It does have its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Wow!! I don't know what to say, I I've been so looking forward to reading Liam's story knowing it was going to be something special & I wasn't wrong. Liam & Richelle's story took you on an emotional roller coaster that once you got on you didn't want to get off. Liam wanted more than just Wednesday night hook ups he & Richelle had been having for the last 3yrs he wanted to find love like his friends who all used to be single dad's but she didn't want that & Liam knew it had to because she'd been really hurt in her past. When his high school exflame Beth turned up needing help getting away from her abusive husband Richelle realised she was jealous of Beth & when he unknowingly help her daughter Mallory it made her realise she had feelings for him & slowly let a bit of the wall shed built up around her come down. Finally he was beginning to get his more with Richelle that she even told him about what her ex-husband had done which he was shocked by but then he understood why she'd built up this wall but by helping Beth the fear she had from her past came back & she put her wall back up ending everything that was happening with her & Liam. Liam was devastated which he said it just proved to him that love was fake & he would never let himself get hurt again building up his own wall. They had both come so far & overcame the fears of their pasts that I wanted so desperately to give love a chance that they both deserved. This is one of the best series of books that I've read & have loved reading each of the dad's stories & happy ever afters.
5 Stars Review by Elizabeth Late Night Reviewer Up All Night with Books Blog
Whitley Cox has been able to hook me onto two single dad books within a span of a month! She is absolutely amazing at writing in the single parent trope and will forever be one of my top go-to authors within the trope.
Liam and Richelle are strictly a “Wednesday” night couple. Well, I would not even call them a couple. More like friends with benefits. Richelle is extremely closed off when it comes to men but there is something about Liam that makes her want to change. But you know what they say, change is not always easy.
I loved how Whitley wrote amazing yet strong characters with a level head. There was not any over the top drama within the book. Yes, I did not agree with a few things but let's be real, it is hard to find characters that you agree with all the time. Liam is one of the sweetest characters I have read about recently. He is a true gentleman who really just wants the best for Richelle.
I loved everything about this book. Everything I look for within a book is in this book. Liam and Richelle have chemistry like no other and are completely made for each other even if it takes her a bit to see it. It was not easy for Richelle to open up but once she did you could see how the weight she had been carrying just lifted. Yes, there is drama but it is drama that should be there.
I cannot wait to read more books by Whitley. I will be reading her backlist for sure!
Can "Friends with Benefits" become more if they both are true to their feelings?
Falling for the Single Dad is the tenth book in The Single Dads of Seattle series and it is the story of Liam and Richelle. Liam was the founder of the group of men and over the course of the previous books has seen men who have become his friends find their "new start" love and ride off into the sunset, well not really but you get the idea. For the last three years Liam has met up with Richelle on Wednesday night for a "friends with benefits" situation. So he starts to wonder if maybe there might be more to their friendship than what it is. I mean they get along really well and have a lot of chemistry between the sheets so maybe there are feelings between them that they have not be acknowledging either to themselves or each other. But there are things that Richelle has been hiding and there are a couple other things that happen which could put their "friendship" on the brink if they let them. I liked the authors writing and storytelling in this book. The characters are wonderful and deep. There are emotions and run the gamut while you are reading, actually I wanted to knock both their heads together a couple of times because Liam and Richelle fit together really well. The story-line was quite entertaining as it had some danger, suspense, romance, friendship, family and of course romance.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I so hate to see this series come to an end. I actually put off reading this book for a bit, because I didn't want to see it come to an end. Each book is a fantastic stand alone featuring one of the sexy Single Dads of Seattle, where he meets his match when it comes to romance, passion, and looking for a HEA to last a life time.
The time has finally come for Liam to finally lose the title of most eligible bachelor of Seattle and stop being the only "Single" dad in the Single Dad's group. Being the founding member of the group and everyone else's biggest cheerleader, it is time for him to take him turn. He finally realizes that Richelle is who he wants to spend the rest of his life with. The big question is, how do you convince someone that has been so hurt and doesn't trust men, to give you a chance.
This is a smoking hot romance with a feel good story line, a bit of angst and heartache, but a whole lot of sassy, sexy goodness rolled into one big book of perky, fun-loving feels.
Strong story line, awesome characters, engaging dialogue and easy to visualize descriptions to details. So happy for the teaser of the spin off series Single Moms of Seattle. Can not wait to see this one become available.
Written as a 3rd person, multi pov with a HFN ending
Would I recommend this book? Yes!
Would I read more from this author? Yes
Heat level 4/5
Sassy Beta Reading and Review
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So this is book 9 in the series. Do you need to read the first 8? Not necessarily but it will give you a better background to all these wonderful men and the women who have stolen their hearts. So this book. First off, Liam is mine. I claimed him back in book 1. Second, Whitley Cox has outdone herself with this. Liam was the single dad who swore off love. He teased and chastised his fellow single dads every time one of them fell. To see the same done to him? Priceless! I laughed so hard, soda was spewing everywhere. Lol!!! But Liam has shown his heart throughout the series in different ways. His own book just magnified why I love him so much. He has a no strings relationship with Richelle. It has worked for both of them for so long but now he wants more. Richelle is awesome! She is a woman who takes no prisoners when it comes to defending her clients and her personal life is fine as long as she depends on no one but herself. She is strong. She is independent. She is scared. Her former life is something I was afraid to hear since I knew it had to have shaped her into the person she has become. I have so much respect for her now I can’t even tell you. The bond she and Liam have is perfection. I rooted for them both and cannot say enough about this couple. They will remain at the top of my best couple reads, ever.
