Designing wedding dresses is Rose Guidry’s passion, but she’ll never wear one down the aisle.

Having learned to never trust a man with her heart, Rose keeps her dating casual and her feelings about love from her clients, including the childhood friend who hired Rose to make her wedding party dresses. It’s a great gig to kick off Rose’s small business, but since she’s back home with her mom after failing to make it big in NYC, she desperately needs a place bigger than her childhood bedroom to work in. Good thing the brother of the bride—Rose’s middle school crush—has an apartment to rent attached to the church he’s renovating into a home.

Everything’s coming up roses for shirtless social media DIYer Jason Soniat: he has a lucrative sponsorship offer from a major tool company, and he’s ready to date again after a toxic relationship nearly wrecked his life. But the guilt he feels over how he treated his family during that time makes him vow that the next woman he dates will be mom-approved. Rose may be beautiful inside and out, but her tarot cards, tattoos, and commitment phobia mean she’s distinctly mom-disapproved.

When a hurricane threatens, Jason convinces Rose to evacuate with him to Florida where their flirty friendship speeds into a relationship hotter than a day at the beach. But returning home as a couple has rough edges and uneven seams: Jason seems unwilling to tell his family he’s dating Rose, reinforcing her belief that all men leave. When the secret slips out and causes family drama, they’ll both have to break old patterns if they want to craft a blissful happily ever after.

✨️ ARC REVIEW✨️
Follow Your Bliss by Holly Rose
( Dream House Girls book 1 )
Publication date: 6th May 2025

Before I get into the review; gentle reminder: you might enjoy this book more than me so please don't let my review put you off 🙏🏻

I'm so in the middle with this one... this was cute until it wasn't...as much as I'm all for being unfiltered and by "all for" I mean I'm literally the most unfiltered person you could meet in real life😂but there's a fine line between being unfiltered and overdoing it... which unfortunately is what happened here... The amount of sex jokes, the dialogues between the protagonists just felt so forced, I felt as though the author milked this behaviour to the point that I was like OKAY WE GET IT YOU'RE OUTSPOKEN AND PROUD lol 🙆🏼‍♀️

Jason is so sweet but his family drama, the religious mum drama just sucked the fun and cuteness out of the book, topics like this aggravate me ( in fiction books ) they're often portrayed judgemental or overdone in my opinion.. because how many times are we gonna mention your mum doesn't like me??? Don't get me started on the mama's boy who's scared to face his mum??? I didn't even know how I feel about the ending anymore even though I loved the romance plot so much

Plot Summary
Rose is a wedding dress designer-- after failing to kick-start her career in NYC she returns home looking for a place to develop her business as a wedding dress seamstress.. That's when Jason comes in -- a social media craftsman, also the brother of the bride who commissioned Rose a dress, ( and Rose's crush since school ) offers her an apartment near a church. Jason is ready to date again after leaving a toxic relationship, however regrets from the past are still lingering when it comes to his mum, which lead to him making the discussion that the next girl he chooses has to be mum-approved but Rose doesn't check all the boxes...

Tropes
▪︎ Wedding dress designer FMC
▪︎ Golden retriever MMC - builds her a sewing table 🫠
▪︎ Open door spice - it was STEAMY😍🔥
▪︎ Dirty talk and toys
▪︎ Only one bed
▪︎ Friends to lovers

i wanted this book to be good so bad but unfortunately this one was a disappointment. the premise was pretty catching with the female character who works on a wedding dresses and the social media guy. like, omg something new and fun???

starting this book felt so exiting because while both characters were so different, it made sense for them to be together. there wasn’t any chemistry at first but i was hoping for some development as the plot moved one. especially, since there were so many moments were those touches and glances could be used to show tension and desire for each other. i’m not sure if this book is a debut novel for the author but the writing felt rushed and needed more attention in all aspects.

the cringiest moments were when characters finally got together. because the nicknames were used more than their names. male character made no sense to me with his monologues and thoughts.

Thank you NetGalley and Star Siren Press for the arc.

ACR:
I think some people will really like this book, but I don't think it was for me. It was entertaining, but lacked substance:

The actual premise was cool, because the FMC (Rose) is a wedding dress designer, but is a commitment-phobe; due to her parents getting a divorced and her mom influencing her ideas of men onto her and her sister, which is fairly common and real. I think her character was little to inconsistent at times and I would have loved it if we had more of her getting back into dating journey.

The MMC (Jason) is a artictect and has a whole brand/social media, where he makes custom furniture and sells them. He was sweet, but I couldn't help getting the ick from him and I totally understand he was a mamma's boy, but that was the entire book was him living up to his mom instead of his own thoughts and wants. Granted he did after the 3rd act conflict and it made some sense, but you're in your twenties, grow up.

The religious aspect I think was thrown in because the author needed a reason why the mom didn't approve of Rose, because his ex would have been enough.
There is some OWD, the woman wouldn't take no for an answer and we never got an apology, nothing happens between our MMC (Jason) and her and he doesn't entertain it.

A romance that didn’t work for me, but may appeal to fans of bold, unfiltered storytelling.

Follow Your Bliss has an intriguing premise—a wedding dress designer who’s sworn off love, forced into close quarters with her middle-school crush. However, while I was excited by the setup, the execution left me struggling to stay engaged.

The biggest issue for me was the protagonist’s internal voice, which was packed with profanity from the very first line. Lines like “I bet he tasted as good as an orgasm felt” (in the second chapter) made it difficult to connect with her, and the constant crude language overshadowed any emotional depth. While some readers might find this relatable or entertaining, it pulled me out of the story.

On the positive side, Jason was a genuinely sweet love interest, and the romance had its steamy moments. The chemistry was there, and I appreciated his patience and kindness. However, the emotional development felt underwhelming, especially given the deeper themes of family dynamics and self-worth that had potential but were never fully explored.

Overall, this book wasn’t for me, but fans of no-filter, modern romance with an emphasis on spice might enjoy it. If you love strong-willed heroines with a sharp tongue and don’t mind a lot of explicit language, this could be worth picking up.

I ADORE this book so much. The writing is so fresh and voicey, and the plot is easy to follow and super engaging.

The chemistry between Rose and Jason was so tangible, but the romance was also so sweet. And the steamy moments? SPICY. Jason is the sweetest guy ever, and I love that he’s so understanding of Rose’s past and what she wants out of a relationship without setting his own needs and wants aside. Rose is a firecracker, and she brings color to Jason’s world in a way that no other woman has before.

Rose and Jason had fantastic character arcs that felt believable. Both had flaws and weaknesses that made them feel real and relatable. And the ending was very satisfying.

I can’t wait to read the next interconnected standalone in the series! Holly Rose’s books are instant reads.

Rose Guidry loves designing wedding dresses but has sworn off love for herself. Back in her hometown after struggling in NYC, she finds an opportunity to grow her business, and a place to work, thanks to Jason, her childhood crush, who’s now a popular DIY influencer. Despite their undeniable chemistry, Jason’s need for family approval clashes with Rose’s free-spirited ways. When a hurricane forces them closer, their flirty friendship turns serious, but secrets and old fears threaten to tear them apart. To have a future together, they'll need to confront the past and trust in love

I genuinely really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next one! It was such an addictive and fun read with so many things I loved. The romance was adorable. The cute scenes between the characters absolutely melted my heart. I love when men do small, thoughtful things for their girlfriends as a way of showing love, and this book delivered that in spades. Their relationship was so sweet, and I loved seeing them joke around together and just be happy

I'm a huge fan of dual POV books, and this one did it perfectly! I especially loved when we got to see the same scene twice from both perspectives. It made me so happy and added so much depth to the story. I also thought the character development was really well done, not just for the main couple but for the side characters too. It made everything feel richer and more complete

One thing to note: there are quite a few sex scenes and sexual thoughts starting very early on. If that’s not your thing, I would suggest skipping this one, but otherwise it’s a really enjoyable book. I personally loved the open-door spice, the dirty talk, and the toys being included. It fit the characters and the story really well

The miscommunication and hesitation to reveal their relationship did frustrate me at times, but only because I loved them together so much and wanted them to be happy! Their bond felt so genuine and strong, and seeing them work through their issues made it even more satisfying by the end.

I loved Rose’s relationship with her mother. It was so refreshing to see a healthy, open parent-child relationship, especially how it was handled at the end. It felt very real and heart warming. The mental health aspect in this story also stood out to me. I appreciated that their trauma was acknowledged and not just magically “fixed.” It added a lot of emotional depth and made the story feel more true to life

Another thing I really loved was how social media played a role in the story. It felt very modern and realistic, and it was so interesting to see how it impacted both characters. Also, a wedding dress seamstress who never wants to get married? Such a fun and unique character idea, I adored it

As a sucker for an architect MMC, this book was right up my alley. The vibes, the romance, the depth, the characters, everything worked for me. The ending was super satisfying and left me with such a full heart

Tropes:

▪︎ Dirty talk and toys
▪︎ Only one bed
▪︎ Friends to lovers
▪︎ Dual POV

Follow Your Bliss by Holly Rose

Within just a couple of chapters I was already giggling away to myself. The humour and flirtation between Rose and Jason is playful and sweet. Rose is a wedding dress designer who doesn’t believe in marriage. Jason is a carpenter with a social media following and has his faith guiding him. Rose literally says whatever is on her mind and sometimes just doesn’t comprehend what has come out! I love that about her and love the boldness. Jason’s view on “Follow your bliss” is such a great way to live too. I feel for the guy with a Mum pushing her views on him. No wonder he found that as an obstacle.

Jason’s view on marriage and romance is just so sweet. I loved him first Rose 😘 oh and Deck Daddy knows 😉 ❤️‍🔥🌶️🌶️🔥🔥🔥
WOW!

I honestly didn’t know if I’d like the religious component but I absolutely loved this book. A fun romance I could not put down!💕

I lost a few hours of sleep so I could keep reading this book. It was worth it too. Rose and Jason are adorable. It’s a cute slow burn romance book and just what I needed after reading a big series. I love how supportive they are of each other’s dreams. Rose with her dress making and Jason with his woodwork. The drama was just enough too. That church home sounds amazing! Loved the scenes in Florida too. The story didn’t feel rushed and it felt real. Def recommend to any romance lovers. Oh and it had some spice! ❤️

I really enjoyed this. I liked the absolute filthy mind of Rose, sometimes I thought her brain worked exactly like mine. Her inner monologue seemed to be saying what mine would say in a similar situation. Was she a dirty bird? Yes. Is that a bad thing? Nope.

If you looked up golden retriever MMC in the romance dictionary a picture of Jason would pop up for sure. Love that for him. Everyone deserves a Jason.

My only ick was the name “Big Dick Tools”. I can’t even explain why that didn’t work for me. I think it just landed too high on the corny meter and I couldn’t get over it. Studfinders was totally fine and love that, but Big Dick Tools threw me over the edge.

This book had me grinning, swooning, and tearing up all in the span of a few chapters.

When Rose gets caught red-handed digging up azaleas, in search of a time capsule, at an allegedly abandoned church, the last person she expects to see is her childhood crush, Jason—who just so happens to own the church now. One minute she’s trying to sneak away unnoticed, and the next they’re digging up a time capsule and unearthing her old bucket list.

Jason’s immediately hooked and intrigued by Rose. She was cute in their younger years, but now she is drop dead gorgeous!

Rose is a wedding dress designer who doesn’t believe in marriage (the irony!), and Jason is a soft, sweet, celibate woodworker with a viral Insta alter ego known as Deck Daddy (yes, really—and it’s everything). He's healing from a past relationship and turning the church into his dream home, while Rose is just trying to keep it together under the weight of anxiety, self-doubt, and building her business.

Their chemistry is instant, their banter is hilarious, and their emotional connection? So beautifully raw and tender. I adored Rose—she’s chaotic, heartfelt, and unapologetically herself. And Jason? He’s basically a golden retriever with rock hard abs. The way he falls for her? Heart eyes forever.

This book handles self-worth, mental health, and love with so much care. I appreciated the anxiety rep and the complex family dynamics, and the love story was the perfect mix of emotional and spicy.

Rose and Jason’s story is super cute.
It’s second chance, with friends-to-lovers, sprinkled with the comedic relief that is all the names Rose gives inanimate objects.

The FMC is hilarious! I love that she just talks without a filter (it seems natural and fits well with the story). The MMC reminds of the teachers/carpenter that Phoebe dated on friends 😂 he’s perfect! Not only in appearance but overall! He’s sweet, caring, and willing to learn!! He continues to get EVEN MORE PERFECT!! I love him!! This couple is by far my FAVORITE!! I loved this story so much!! This story concluded in a way that felt true to them and wasn’t wrapped up with cheesiness but realistically. I can’t wait to continue the Dream House Girls!!

It's so funny, so fresh. The story itself is sweet and tender. Theres mental health representation (anxiety) they both endure, and it's really well described on her.
She has daddy issues, he has mommy issues 😅.
Also, the banter is AMAZING. And the spice is definitely spicing! 👌

👰🏻‍♀️Rose is a wedding dress designer who, after her first partner destroyed her emotionally, doesn't believe in marriage - or love whatsoever -. And she just moved back to her childhood town.

👷🏼‍♂️ Jason is this DYI-Carpenter- furniture- making hot-instagrammer-architect, whose dreams for the future seem to revolve around a committed relationship, a wife, a home, church values, and god. Even after being cheated on and having his heart shattered in thousands of pieces. and guess what? he moved back to town recently.
And his mom is kind of a b1tch 🙃.

He is her middle school crush turned into a hottie, and she CANT help being attracted to him. The question is.. can she guard her heart?

The book is perfect for readers that love a free spoken, humorous, confident and hardworking heroine, a creative, kind and attentive mmc and complex family dynamics.
Unfortunately this book wasn’t for me, I had a difficult time getting into the story and I wasn’t captivated enough to keep reading.
What caught my attention is that Rose is a seamstress, a job I wanted to do when I was 6, so I was excited about her character. After failing making it big in NYC Rose comes back home, looking for a place to finally start developing her business as a wedding dress seamstress. Jason, a social media famous craftsman and brother of the bride who commissioned Rose a dress, offers her an apartment he just restored near the church he’s is renovating and turning into his house.

The premises really hooked me but different things pulled me out of the story: I found dialogues a bit unnatural and forced, especially the dialogues between the protagonists, also they had a lot of sex jokes and double meanings and the inner monologues of both the mcs were packed with sexual thoughts about the other since chapter 2. I like spice and how sexual positive Rose was but it made me a bit uncomfortable how explicit their thoughts were, also because they haven’t seen in each other in years.
About Jason I liked how he was described and it intrigued me that he was celibate and was looking for the right woman, but not that he had to find a woman who met his mother’s (who’s very religious) standards: we know from the beginning that Rose isn’t the perfect candidate and that Jason’s mother doesn’t have kind words for her and her family; so the possible family drama and toxic religious environment put me off.

Thank you Netgalley, Star Siren Press and Holly Rose for the arc

It started off really good! I went into this thinking I was gonna love this book, and I can still see how many other people would, but I don’t think it was for me personally.

It was ADORABLE and their banter had be giggling in the first few chapters. But the deeper I went the more I felt some of the dialogue was leaning more towards cringy.

I love an unfiltered character in books and movies but it felt so forced at times that it had me audibly sighing and telling my kindle “WE GET IT” while reading.

I did love how the fmc has an assigned ringtone for each different character in the book, it felt like I was in on an inside joke 😅

But I really really didn’t like her little quirk of calling every person she was speaking to, no matter the situation/person “girl”. It was fine the first 5-6 times but then it got a little much.

The ending was so nice tho, the special “shelf” he built to win her back. I stopped rooting for him at some point but that was soooo cute it changed my mind about him haha

I had the absolute pleasure of getting my hands on an ARC copy of Follow Your Bliss!

First off, the cover is just as stunning as the story inside! This book follows Rose, a bridal seamstress, and Jason, a very swoon-worthy DIY enthusiast. The chemistry between Rose and Jason is undeniable, and their clever banter had me grinning like crazy. I also adored the pictures scattered throughout the story it truly brought the story to life during those special moments!

The book does a fantastic job of addressing anxiety, and the way it's portrayed feels incredibly authentic.

Follow Your Bliss is perfect for readers who crave a blend of sweet and spicy. Rose's humor will have you laughing out loud to yourself, and the dynamic between the characters is just so much fun.

Holly has done an excellent job of addressing trigger warnings at the start of the book so make sure you check those out on her website.

I highly recommend this book, and I’m already excited to dive into Heather’s story next! 🩷

“She lit me up, mind, heart and body”

Both Rose and Jason have experienced heartache in different ways and that shapes who they are and how they approach relationships. Rose being a commitmentphobe and Jason looking for the love of his life. The two of them stumbling around together felt real and authentic. The panic of liking someone who you shouldn’t might of hit too close to home for me 😅

Jason is truly a man written by a woman. Deck Daddy 😉 will do anything for Rose, including making sure every item is checked off on her middle school bucket list.

I really enjoyed Follow Your Bliss by Holly Rose and would definitely recommend it for lovers of contemporary romance and the one bed trope.

Ps. I could so perfectly picture the converted church that’s I’ve started making their house in the sims 🫣😅

Thank you to NetGalley and Holly Rose for the ARC!

One Sentence Summary: "She's never learned how to love and he's never known true passion."

When I tell you that I finished this book and IMMEDIATELY wanted to reread it, I mean it! I finished reading this book at 10:30pm, which is well past my bedtime, and I was so tempted to just turn around and start again.

Follow Your Bliss stars Rose and Jason, childhood acquaintances intertwined in adulthood, Rose is an aspiring bridal designer, Jason is a trained architect switching roles to be a carpenter/renovator/influencer. Brought back into each others' lives when Rose needs to get out of her mother's house because it's too small upon her move back to New Orleans, Jason offers to rent his rectory-turned-apartment in his church-house to her to have more space to work on his sister's wedding dresses.

They become a well working team boosting Jason's "Deck Daddy" social media presence and working on building Rose's to promote her budding bridal business. There is also A LOT of very sex-positive conversation. My favorite quote is "What's a c0ck ring? And do I need one?" Rose teaches Jason, Jason teaches Rose. The main obstacle in their budding relationship is Rose's inability to believe every man will leave her and Jason's religious trauma, his mother, and the abusive/manipulative relationship he had with his ex.

Holly Rose does such an amazing job exploring the complexities and emotions that come with a new relationship with an old friend. Follow Your Bliss is also a refreshing discussion on sex. It doesn't just HAPPEN. There's sex toys, celibacy, self-love, and so much more.

An excellently written rom-com that had me giggling, squealing, clutching my pearls, and sweating.

Rose - the FMC who designs wedding dresses and Jason - a DIY handy man who gives off pure golden retriever energy! A storm hits and they evacuate together 👀
I devoured this book in 3 sittings. Obsessed. I don't know why I don't read romance more often because I am here for it 😆 Holly wrote Rose and Jason's characters amazingly and I absolutely loved them! Their banter was 10/10 and the spice was spicing! I really liked that the mental health and anxiety representation was written well also. The ending had me reading so quickly I couldn't keep up and I can't wait for book 2!

Thank you SO much to Holly Rose for the opportunity to read this book early as part of her Street Team!

Follow Your Bliss, at its core, is an inspiring read about two people who work so well together, not just in the sheets but also in life. The sex-positive energy in this was so stunning because it never came at the cost of choice. What I mean is that choice is acknowledged and appreciated: so many moments in this book reiterated this fact. I loved that the right to choose was never glossed over or ignored and it also felt realistic and the book didn’t force feed the reader certain ideals.

Rose was a beautiful protagonist, from her outlook on life to her insecurities to her personality and her occupation. As I am the daughter of a seamstress, I couldn’t wait to see how her job was incorporated into the story. And I truly loved alll the little details of fabric types, dress silhouettes, and all the other sewing terms. Her job was never a backseat but a player in the plot! And as for Rose as a person, gosh… she was such a sassy and blunt woman. I guffawed at sooooo many of her lines. She is the type of woman I want to be best friends with.

Then there’s Jason. Oh boy. Golden retriever boys with soft feelings…. I eat them up. And his influencer role as the shirtless woodworker? Come on. That juxtaposition was just (chef’s kiss). Sensitive and good with his hands?? Sign me UP.

The two of them together were spot-on. They worked so well as partners and I loved reading about their growing relationship. It had trials and crazy moments and I about screamed at the third act conflict…. But I also teared up 🥹 These two are too stinking cute.

I have been so afraid of romance lately because it always feels so “samesy” but this one stood out to me. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a sex-positive romance with extremely realistic and compelling plots and characters!

I can’t wait to read more about Heather in the next book! 👀

Thank you to Holly Rose and team for allowing me to ARC read this book! This was such a fun happy romance and I really loved the pacing of it as well as the characters and their progression. Honestly, the tension between these two was so fun to read about. I felt giddy for Rose and Jason when they finally gave in and got it on 😅. I think personally I’m not a big church girl and the only reason I have this book a 4 1/2 instead of 5 is because of how Jason’s mom acted through out most of the book, which felt so hateful (totally get it furthered the plot, but she was AWFUL). Overall, I had so much fun while reading the book and would definitely recommend this to others. I also can’t wait for the other dream house girls stories!

This is a cute little book. I enjoyed the premise, and the spice was good. Overall, I did like most of it, but the third act breakup was not super enjoyable for me. I kept getting a bit annoyed with both main characters over how reactive they were being. While at the same time, they were relatable, and I don't think they were unrealistic.

There were a few characters I DESPISED, but they were the antagonists, so good job to the author on accomplishing that. Usually I don't hate characters that much in contemporaries, so I was surprised how much I did in this one.

Overall a good read.

He helps her dig up a time capsule that she buried in middle school, saw that she included a bucket list, made a copy of it, and then STARTED TO COMPLETE EACH ITEM SHE HAD ON THERE WITHOUT TELLING HER AND WOULD ADD A CHECK MARK WHEN HE HAD HELPED FINISH THEM. Let me say that again. HE WANTED TO COMPLETE HER MIDDLE SCHOOL BUCKET LIST FOR HER. ONE ITEM BEING TO GET HIM TO FALL IN LOVE WITH HER, AND HE ADDED LIKE 8 CHECK MARKS NEXT TO IT.

Read if you’re into:
He falls first ✅
Forced Proximity ✅
Mental Health Representation ✅
Mentions of Religion but not too heavily, in my opinion ✅
They support each others dreams ✅
FMC has no filter ✅
Funny/witty banter ✅

Warnings:
-FMC and MMC struggle with childhood trauma (FMC a child of divorce and MMC mommy issues)
-Christianity is definitely a focus in this story
-FMC struggles with anxiety/panic attacks and talks about this
-The spicy scenes are a little cringy with some of the verbiage used, in my opinion
-3rd Act Break Up

Overall this was a super cute, fluffy read. No heavy/dark tropes or topics. I liked our MMC Jason, he is a sensitive guy who loves his family. I could relate to the FMC Rose, as she struggles with anxiety and is unapologetically herself.

I picked this up as it seemed like a light, cute palette cleanser read between my usual darker reads - and it delivered with extra depth than expected! As a seamstress who has always dreamed of living in a converted church, I was easily drawn in by the premise and it didn't disappoint.

The story is a fair bit more complex than I initially perceived - it's not a simple "seamstress meets DIY-er" light romance. There's some meaningful, but light, exploration of healing from abuse and abandonment, and an interesting contrast between her being commitment-wary and sex positive against the MMC's religious background and voluntary celibacy. While I wasn't expecting religion to have as such a role as it did, it was an interesting new dynamic to explore.
Sex positivity is always something I embrace however at times it felt a little too much like a lecture? The FMC's quirkiness was also a little too forced at times, and some of the dialogue occasionally a little too juvenile/over the top sexual, but thankfully fell more into the background as the book went on and didn't detract from the enjoyment of the story overall.

All that being said - a lovely, enjoyable book that grew on me as I read. The spice was original and well balanced, and the relationship development felt natural over the course of the book. The dual POV really enhanced the experience giving us insight to both characters and their growth.
Overall a happy and easy read, with plenty of charm and unexpected depth - would definitely recommend to romance reading friends looking for their next read and I'm looking forward to the next instalment of the Dream House Girls series!

Thank you Star Siren Press & Holly Rose for this ARC!

I was swooning, crying, and laughing through this book.
It's fun and flirty but also manages mental health and self-worth really well.

Rose and Jason have become one of the most adorable couples. She is a super talented wedding dress designer and seamstress, and 6 equally talented architect. Both so passionate about their work.

Rose's inner thoughts are honest and raw, and you literally feel all the emotion with her. She's kind, caring, and open-minded and sworn never to fall in love due to her parents' failed marriage and her mother making her believe that men always leave. She is who she is but also hides a side of her away because of her fears.

Jason Soniat, OMG! He is the sweetest person ever. He is helpful and so thoughtful and just amazing. Having been through an abusive relationship, he's weary and has his own insecurities, and you feel it all with him, too.

It's refreshing to experience all the emotions from the MMC and FMC, and I absolutely loved how Jason was always about SHOWING Rose how he felt and not just saying it to her. His own inner thoughts of vulnerability and fears clearly depicted, and he wasn't ashamed to shed tears.

Without giving too much away, Follow Your Bliss is a great read. Emotional and sweet.

Thank you, Holly Rose

Thank you to NetGalley, Holly Rose, and Star Siren Press for the e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

I honestly thought I was going to like this one but I unfortunately did not enjoy this. Firstly, I enjoyed the first 20% of the book. I liked Rose as the FMC. I would have loved to see her coming to terms with dating again. She had a lot of self-work to get through and I was here to experience that with her. But that is not the direction this book went. I didn’t like Jason at all. He gave me the ick. But I felt like he made contradicting actions. He is also a momma’s boy. I don’t mean that in a good way. His character frustrated me. Rose would put things in a mature perspective but he and his mother couldn’t. Unfortunately, I will not be continuing this series. Just note that there are religious aspects to this book.
