Just finished Triple Power Play 3 by Jessica Lyn, and omg… I was so ready for this one after that cliffhanger in book 2 . Honestly? I really liked it. Dark, messy, and addictive in all the right ways.
I absolutely loved Aurora, Jackson, and Ethan—they felt real, complicated, and you can’t help but root for them, flaws and all. Jackson and Ethan have their issues, but I could see where they were coming from. Reece… I don’t even know how I feel about him. Something about his character just didn’t click with me. Maybe it’s just me, but yeah, there it is.
The story’s full of obsession, forbidden romance, and morally grey choices—basically all the tension you want in a dark romance. The stakes are high, the banter is delicious, and it’s just… messy in the best way.
That said, I didn’t see a ton of character growth this time. Feels like this book was mostly setting things up for the next one, which makes sense because the fourth book is still coming. So many questions left hanging, and now I’m equal parts anxious and excited to see how it all ends 😬.
If you love dark hockey romances with possessive, OTT heroes, messy love triangles, and all the angst, this series is your jam. Book 3 was solid—not my favorite yet—but I’m totally invested and can’t wait for the next one.
⭐ My Rating: 3.75–4/5
Huge thanks to Jessica Lyn for sending me this ARC—I loved getting early access to this addictive, dark world!
