Blogging for the Beginner: A Simple Step by Step Guide on How to Create a Blog

Rate this book
This book contains proven steps and strategies on how to create a blog.
Blogging is a skill. It takes time and practice to become good at it. Every step you take when creating your first blog is a learning experience. However, you will learn much faster if you avoid the mistakes that other bloggers before you made. This book aims to give you the best ways of creating a blog and how to avoid common roadblocks.
Think of creating a blog as a project. You start by planning. Then you begin to implement those plans. However, the old method of project management does not work when building a blog. The so-called waterfall method is meant only for big businesses or projects that can’t change decisions in the middle. It is called the waterfall method because once you are done with one step you cannot go back and undo it. The old method of project management is linear and it can be costly to make mistakes.
Website development and design allows you to be more agile. Because creating a website does not need a lot of resources, changing key features in the middle of the project is common practice. This new method of project management is aptly called the “agile method”. It is okay to make mistakes because you can change your previous decisions as variables change.
This is the correct way of creating your first blog. Though you will do a lot of planning, the decisions made during the planning stage can be modified as conditions change. Keep this principle in mind as you become more involved with the blog-creation process.
