Olu adding some much needed diversity to the ranks. Also, hello Teller backstory! I love these books, but you do end up craving details about the more minor characters.
More trauma: poor Chambers.

When Jacob and Alex Teller mysteriously disappear from the grounds of Fenton Lodge, every psychic and dowser in Cola club are set to find them. The brothers, meanwhile, are thrown in at the deep end of a plot they can't possibly anticipate when a quick accidental jaunt threatens their lives, and perhaps the future of the Cola club itself.

Jacob and Alex didn't really get much time to shine in the original Shapeshifter series, so it's great to get to know them in this book. Their connection is explored well and is woven nicely into the plot. Featuring a pond, a cable car, a tape recorder and a peregrine falcon, oh my.

An enjoyable, well-written and adventure-packed quick read. It moves along at a good pace and you get to know the characters well. This volume in the series was a bit two-dimensional compared to Mind Over Matter with a less-compelling story and resolution. While it dealt with the idea of freedom, I didn't feel it moved the overall series story on that much, though it is setting up a confrontation within the group with one of the characters. While Old introduces a tiny bit of much-needed diversity, there are one or two ethnic cliches dropped into his reactions.

I’m really loving that these books are dealing with the concept of freedom at Fenton Lodge! Meeting Olu was so fun and this book really added a lot to the series. It was also really interesting to read some of Chambers’ backstory, as a character that has appeared in lots of books but not really been focused on yet.

Really good but I think Unleashed The burning beach was better I still really liked it!!!
