This was a twist I was not expecting. Wow letting a master vampire make good from being evil is impressive. I liked the fact Gabriel made an effort and wasn't all caveman. Eva stood her ground she didn't let lust and the mating take her will she held out. I thought she was an awesome character and admire the author on her writing style.

Villain meets Cop
Gabriel has a traumatic start as a vampire and I can understand how he could be a criminal since that's all he knows. It took Eva to tame him. She is amazing and brave. I really like how she never gave up.
