I gave this story two and s half stars simply because of the ending. beginning and middle..it just didn't quite all comet together for me. I mean told some about Sam's family..talked some about Rachel's family which explained her attitude..however it never really hooked me concerning Charmaine and Tyler's relationship..it just didn't do it for me.I think I would've liked the story itself if there had been more to it..I'm glad I got to read it free. I would have been very disappointed if I had paid 2.99.for it..
My first book by this author and I plan to go on and read part 2.
Charmaine Robinson has just moved to a small quiet town. She left and hoped to start over after leaving her crazy ex-boyfriend. She thought Blue Lake would be the perfect place to start over. Things don't go as smooth sailing as she thought.
Sam Kingston is home on leave from the Marines. His family lives in Blue Lake and he's home caring for his mother. He didn't plan on running into a lady that he can't seem to shake out of his system. Now he has helped Charmaine in more than one way.
I like the story. I think this novella could have had a bit more background information in it. I like the beginning of the story. I will go on to read part 2. Overall, I give this novella 3.5 stars.
I was scrolling through my kindle in search of something to read. I came across this book and the synopsis immediately caught my attention. It's the story of the local hero stepping in and saving the day. He saves her life, and somehow their paths keep crossing. As they say the rest is history. My only problem with this story is how the ending just abruptly ended. I will be reading the rest of the series.
That was a good story. I can not believe that the author intended this book to be a stand alone. There are to many stories in this one book left to be told. I hope Sherie Keys continues with this story, it has the makings of a great series.
