A brand-new must-have for the crafter, this handy pad contains 30 pages filled with iron-on embroidery patterns by stitch maven Jenny Hart, author of Sublime Stitching and the Stitch-it Kit. Jenny Hart is an artist, designer, and the founder of Sublime Stitching. She lives in Austin, Texas.
This craft pad has a TON of patterns to use. I like that the binding is on the top, so I can easily trace patterns without bumping my hand into the binding. Lefty. Inside of the cover is a pouch, so you can keep any loose transfers without worrying they're going to fall out of the book. The only con to this is that there are a lot of repeat patterns from Jenny's "Sublime Stitching" book, so buyer beware. 4/5 stars for great patterns (with a variety of patterns sizes), creativity, and the convenience of having a light pattern book on hand in my embroidery basket.
A bit expensive, but much cheaper than buying the transfers individually online! There are some that are so odd that I'll never make them, but many others that are great! If you are looking for the "Aunt Martha's" style transfers, this probably isn't for you, but the tattoo design on the front should give that away! My favorites are: lady's hands holding quill pens, maneki neko cats, chihuahuas, and Chinese lanterns. Some are so simple I feel I could have drawn them myself, and that is why I didn't give five stars.
this book has loads of kooky, fabulous embroidery transfers. i have embroidered a robot on marion's khakis, a bird on olivia's jeans, and the same bird on some napkins for shawna's wedding gift!
